  I really feel that MindTap is setting me up to fail. It doesn't work on my macbook so I have to use my girlfriend's ***** That's not my problem though. My problem is that I don't learn like a robot. There is no way a human, especially one with ADD can learn anything the way MindTap teaches. It tries to teach like you are also a computer program like it is. I really feel it basically discriminates against people with ADD. MindTap is the worst teacher I have ever had and that's really saying something. There is not a positive or even neutral review from the perspective of a student to be found anywhere on the internet. The only positive reviews about it are from the perspective of teachers that must love having a computer program do 100% of their job for them while they still get paid. How schools they keep taking peoples money and having MindTap do all the teaching is beyond me. The price of school should be drastically lower if they use MindTap. It is an absolute scam. I can't imagine the amount of people that paid the ridiculous price school costs these days and had to drop out because no one can learn the way MindTap does it. It really seems like as long as they got your money the schools just don't care if you actually graduate or not. At least that's how ****************************** feels. I am trying so hard to pass but MindTap is really setting me up to fail. It says answers are wrong even though they are right ( I googled one to make sure and it still counted it as wrong). The teacher is basically non-existant in classes that use it and if you email them you are lucky to get a response in less than a week or two, if at all. The classes that thankfully don't use MindTap have tests and assignments that actually make sense and that are relevant. I can't ask MindTap why do I need to know all the parts inside of a computer in order to be an addiction counselor? My Mom tried helping me thinking I was being dramatic and is now convinced I'm being scammed by the school.

  I have been completing a Medical Coding certification that uses Cengage and lasts 2 semesters. It is a horrible platform and I have no idea why this company seems to have such a monopoly with colleges. Avoid any course that Uses Cengage/MindTap if you can!!

  I tried to buy 1 online book for my son,They sent a physical copy. Had to return and refund- they charged my account 4 times 1) ****** $145 3) 127 4) $127 all via PayPal. Its taken hours daily to unravel and will take **** days for my refund. Insane. Also spoke to PayPal because they held each of the 4 items and charged the amount twice! Nope.

  The software doesnt work, I understand excel better than this program. It is a broken scam. There is more than one way to skin a cat, yet cengage is painfully unaware of this. I get every answer right and am stuck doing more and more work all so my professor does not have to. It has all the tools of excel but wants you to only use it in a very specific way. If you right click and do the quick way it says wrong answer and then on the next question thats actually how it wants you to do it. This software should be banned until it actually works. My time is worth more than broken software and this should not be used to get excel certifications, it is a garbage fire.

  You know it is sad when customer support does not even know how to use their own platform. Most of the controls on the platform are defective, which is not allowing me to complete any of the exercises. Please fix immediately.

  Unfortunately, I signed up for the Medical Coding course through **************************. After filling out online information form, I immediately received phone calls from fast-talking tele-marketers calling me, even over the weekend reading from a script, "You better sign up before the deadline." They even offered me a discount on the course. Presently going through this online course, I realize it will not prepare me, or anybody else, for Certification. Not only that, but it took them over two weeks after starting Medical Terminology course to send out textbooks. Sent (8) eight emails (can provide) and received emails back saying they're on backorder blah, blah, blah. They did not even over a complimentary extension for the inconvenience. Feeling duped and deceived, I did some research on Ed2Go, which is owned by Cengage. Cengage filed for bankruptcy in 2014, and was bought out by a ************************ I am disappointed in **************** for selling this course, which is just a shakedown for money that victimizes people hoping to acquire job skills. Like other posters here my refund was denied.

  Here is a bit of what I think based off what an instructor informed me on, vaguely. I am having trouble completing labs on a vm. My instructor said I could be dealing with malware. What I have heard from a previous instructor was the servers from cengage was poor. They need to have employees step up and really address these servers. I don't believe there is malware running on my laptop. Everything else works fine including webex, lifeline, ******** and other streaming services online. Seems to be a struggle with taking pre-tests and having them count for +1 point. Frustrating but I can still get an A if it doesn't end up working. Not my fault, I did the test more than once it just will not record. The labs using vm's makes me very upset. Extreme lag, doesn't record responses, types one character every 3 seconds (pretty close to 3 sec), all consistent problems that only show up when I am logged in trying to get schoolwork done. I ran Nortons malware checker, then contacted ****** via chat that ran the same thing after taking over my computer confirming there is no malware. Everything else is running fine. I haven't noticed anything else. I don't believe the instructor understands where my frustration is coming from. I do believe others are also struggling with Cengage as they also post concerns on our discussion board. I believe what one instructor said, Cengage isn't staffed to handle the problems their servers need addressed. Hire more folks. It's not going to hurt your need for greed to give students the service they need. I hope to get through this term learning more on Windows OS. Wish my professor was more understanding rather blame malware. (shrugging)

  As someone who is a visual learner, this program is in no way friendly to students like me. Math has always come easy to me because of the examples I've been able to work through with steps teaching me along the way. Cengage has next to none of these examples I speak of, and have learned next to nothing because of it. Whenever I have a question or don't understand the steps to the problem I'm trying to work through, I have to find another cite or ******* video that can help me actually learn. Cengage has been the biggest waste of my money and time.

  I am writing this letter in reference to the Travel Agent Course offered by ****** through Cengage and Ed2go. This course is not as described, The Travel Agent Course covers nothing on the subject of becoming an accredited Travel Agent, and the course only covered geography and professional business ethics. This is not what I signed up for, The course was not as described, it claims to teach the in and out of becoming an accredited Travel Agent. None of the information provided in the course was relevant to become an accredited Travel Agent. Upon doing more research I was informed by The Travel Institution in order to become an accredited Travel Agent you have to book over $5,000 in travel prior to taking this course in order to receive accredited credentials. I have been completely misleading regarding this course, the description does not match the material covered in this course. I have not yet received my certificate for completing the course and it has been over 8 weeks since the completion of this course, as well as my *** exam voucher has not been issued. The Travel Agent Training course did not prepare me for the *** (Travel Agent Proficiency) test offered by the **************** (formerly ICTA), the registration fee for this test was not included in this course. The Travel Agent Proficiency exam is unclear on the material covered in the course, it does not demonstrate the basics of the travel industry selling skills (briefly touched or explained if at all), basic geography ( mainly airport codes were covered), and NO useful information about items/products sold by travel counselors were ever provided, The course only covers geography and very vague information for the establishment of a travel business. This course should be pulled and investigated for providing false information about the course outline and for not covering course material as described. I have filed a formal complaint and made a formal request for a refund. My refund was denied.

  I contracted Cengage to review the course prior to signing up for course. It was explained to completely differently. I was told this was a accredited course, and that this was not a entry-level but a more advanced accredited course, I'm a season travel agent and I have requested more information that was never provided, until after i paid in full. There records of my phone conversation. I also didn't start the course until September/October by then my time to drop the course had already pass before I even started the course.
