    I signed up for their Spartan+ subscription. It says it's a 6-Month commitment, and I planned to cancel after 6 months. Once I signed up, there was no option to cancel the subscription. I reached out to customer support to cancel, and they assured me that my subscription would be cancelled. Well, I am on my 8th month and I am still being charged.I went to Spartan.com website, and I am not able to log in to my account because their security certificate is invalid for their website. I tried calling their customer service phone number and it goes directly to a voicemail. Their phone number is useless.Lastly, I placed an order TWICE for a pre-paid tag for my race medal, and I never received it. This company is literally robbing people.

    There is literally no way to cancel the Spartan+ membership on the company's website. I was told that I "selected" a 6 month membership which I cannot cancel. I can assure that I am so cheap I would never do this.Spartan races are a wonderful event but automatically adding things to people's checkout charts is deceitful at best and stealing at worst. I just want my money back and I want them to stop this unethical practice.

    First, I am so disappointed that I even need to file this complaint. The fact that common courtesy and customer service is simply ignored to this degree is disheartening for an organization that I have spent quite a bit of money with. On April 17th, I intended to purchase a ticket for a future race. I went through the checkout process and the website froze, multiple times, every time I went to check-out. When I finally got the website to work, I realized that the previous ticket had been left in the cart even though I was unable to process the transaction, and by the time I realized it, it was too late and I had purchased two tickets for the same race. Given the fact that it was an obvious mistake and due to their website not functioning properly, I sent an email to customer service explaining the situation and asking that they cancel and refund the ticket. I provided all necessary details, and they could clearly see that I had already redeemed one ticket and signed up for another race. Much to my disappointment, I was told they do not offer refunds but I could still use the ticket within 1 year. I wish this was the first time that this organization had clearly ignored simple customer service tasks, but it isn't. I'd like one of the race tickets that I purchased to be cancelled and refunded. Simply put, its the right thing to do by the customer. The unused redemption code is ***************** The used redemption code on the same transaction is: SUPERJP7ARXAKPKE4 As you will see, the issue is clear mistake, caused by a website malfunction. It shouldn't take a BBB complaint to do right by a customer. Again, I would simply like the unused, duplicate ticket to be refunded.

    Purchase Date: 8/29/22 **** $126.51 Resolution: I would like to be refunded half the cost of this race (approx. $60) due to deceptive marketing tactics and poor customer service related to the **** Labor Day promo. Spartan's customer service has deteriorated immensely and they engage in deceptive marketing tactics. After 10 completed Spartan races, and encouraging countless other people to run, I can no longer support a company that is unwilling to support its racers, especially considering the cost and distance involved. Spartan advertised a **** race, of which my teenage son and I each purchased one and were planning to split the cost with two other individuals. I purchased my ****, set up a team for spring 2023, and immediately received the free code via email. Since my registration went through, my son then purchased his **** and never received the free code, only an email stating he could unlock it. I contacted Spartan and they informed me that in order for the promo to be valid, the paid race had to take place in 2022. Turns out, this was in extremely small print at the bottom of the promo email. Why, then, did I receive a free race code when I registered for a 2023 race? If 2023 races didnt qualify, why werent they excluded/not listed as an option when clicking through the promotional email link to register? There wasnt a pop-up or anything that would have alerted me that the 2023 races wouldnt qualify for the promotion. Easy enough fix, I thought. I requested they change our registered races to a 2022 race of the same distance, so that it would meet their terms terms that were unclear to begin with the writing was so small, and nothing was in place to stop the customer from registering for races that didnt qualify. They refused. Even though they had already sent one **** code, they refused to send the other code or transfer the paid race to one in the 2022 calendar year. No attempt was made to resolve anything and they have no phone number only email.

    June 1 2022 ***** with Sezzle June 21, 2022 $***** with Sezzle July 13, 2022 $***** with Sezzle August 10, 2022 $***** with Sezzle Total $119.24 I paid for a Spartan Race event through Sezzle. The event was canceled. Spartan refuses to refund me and it was the actual Spartan Event that canceled. This is criminal.

    When you sign up for a race, Spartan charges all participants $10 for parking even if you don't have a car or are driving with someone else. They also charge for Bag Check even if you don't want it. My boyfriend and I are driving together, in one car but we both have to pay for parking. There is no way to not pay for these. I contacted Customer Support and this is what they said on 9/22/22: "I would like to let you know that *********** Services, Bag Check, and Merchandise Discount covers these services on race day. This fee is required for each individual racer, regardless if you are carpooling or sharing a bag." This is a rip off and everyone should be reimbursed that has had to pay these fees for services they did not need and give future participants an option to purchase or not purchase. These races are not cheap so to be charged for something one does not need is not good business ethics. Thank you.

    I purchased my tickets for Tough MUDder back in march when the company advertised the prices will be increasing and it was the last time to get the tickets at that price or lower. 5 months later and 1 month before the event, They send out emails stating the prices were about 20% cheaper than when I originally purchased. I contacted them about this to get the difference refunded and they refused to do so. I finally said I just did not want to attend anymore of their events and just want my money back and was told they will not do that. After many emails and speaking with a manager *************************, nothing was resolved and they basically said they don't care even though they were directly violating the ******** Code 18.2-216 about Untrue, deceptive or misleading advertising.

    The company reached out to me and refunded most fees, they still kept the processing fee and I am just going to take what I can get in regards to the concerns in reference to complaint #********.     I made the purchases of the Spartan race ticket online for the 2022 race in Flushing **. There was a sale for buy one get one free for the tickets. I was also given a promo code to use in order to purchase the tickets. I made the purchase and never got the 2nd ticket. I reached out to the business they mentioned that a promo code would void the **** free offer. That was not stated by anyone or anywhere on their website. My goal was to have the **** free option. I reached out because if I could pay the difference to get the **** free thats what I would have done. Yet I was told there was nothing anyone could do. The information was not fully available for me as a consumer to make an educated decision based on the information I was given from the Spartan team. I would like to pay the different to get the **** free option. Not having all of the information readily available is misleading and confusing.

    I was supposed to attend an event in ******* ****** back in the summer of 2020. The event was canceled due to COVID. The event was rescheduled at a later date in 2020 but was canceled again due to COVID-19. The event was rescheduled for summer 2021 but was then canceled again. They did exchange the credit for a US event since I do not feel comfortable traveling internationally. I scheduled an event for October this year but explained to them I have medical issues and do not know when I can go to an event. They suggested I use the credit and transfer to another event. I explained to them that I do not know when my health will improve and would like my original money back. When I originally scheduled the event I did not have health concerns. My doctor advises that I do not attend the event anytime soon. I would like a refund for my original payment $112.00. 88 for the original purchase ticket and 24 for the difference in the event.

    Spartan Race moved our race in *********, *** to a DIFFERENT STATE in a city more than two hours away and won't refund our tickets for THEIR mistake and drastic change in location.
