Zero stars would be appropriate. The worst experience I have ever had when selling silver or gold. I sent an extensive set of sterling flatware--about 9 lbs.--and waited for an offer. After more than a week, I called and was told they'd sent an offer, but they sent it "again". They pointed out that dinner knives are not solid silver, which I knew. But even by their estimate, there was more than 7 lbs. of sterling silver. They offered me $775.00!!I strenuously objected and they sent me a "corrected" offer of $2,200, which was still far less than what they claim as a percentage of payout. Their online "calculator" valued the silver at more than $3,000.So I rejected their offer and waited for my silver to be returned. And waited. Finally, I contacted them AGAIN and, even though I had an email acknowledgement that I declined their offer, they had not sent it. I attempted to contact them several times by phone but calls were not returned.They finally said the silver was being returned. I got it today. Upon examination, it was clear that they had scraped several all-silver knives, I assume to ascertain the metal. THEY RETURNED DAMAGED SILVER TO ME.CJ Environmental, Inc.

1 starI recently just used your third party service to have some coins looked at, and when I got them back today I was taken by surprise that my stuff wasnt in order. I expected you to send my stuff back the way that I sent it to you. Furthermore, you have to be more clearer on what you want to be sent. Im not sorry for being rude to you because I think I have the right since you sent my stuff back without any bubble wrap or anything. Thanks for your help! 1 starMy items were lost and I was told they would be insured. I have spent months back and forth with them and still nothing. I think they are scam artists. I would never send anything to them. They repeatedly told me different stories on when this would be resolved. I am still waiting and nothing going on three months even though they know ***** picked up the package. This company has ripped me off and they have no concern about it. The customer service people are rude and uncaring.Review fromRebecca v

1 starThe customer terms of use are agreed to when you request a selling kit. This seems an obvious ploy to get customers to agree well before they receive a quote, absolving the company of liability in the case of loss or damaged goods and binding customers to terms they likely have not read and do not understand.I sent in two pieces of jewelry. I knew one was undervalued and requested it back; I sold it to a local jeweler days later for 3x the Cash for Gold USA offer. I foolishly and regretfully accepted the offer on the other piece. I have requested it back, but am told it is already "gone" and that sales are final (although I have absolutely not received payment). I believe it was also undervalued and grievously regret ever requesting a kit. The fact that Cash for Gold USA is operating under a completely different name than CJ Environmental and that it is nigh impossible to find this page is indicative of the business' intent to hide from honest reviews.Review fromScott D

I sent in my gramdmothers antique silverware set, ****, in the original wooden box, certificate of authenticity, and the booklet containing each flatware item. The company promises to keep your items safe and if you don't like their offer, they promise to return the items in the same condition they received them in. That is false! Anything sent to them is not safe nor will it be cared for. They threw away the certificate of authenticity, damaged the silverware with deep scratches, and damaged the wooden box's inside layering by pulling it apart. When I contacted them about the issue, they offered a Amazon gift card for $25 and said that's all they would do.CJ Environmental, Inc.

As a refinery, we purchase materials for their precious metal value. As your materials tested as silver plated (something we do not accept) we made a courtesy offer, based on the materials that we could refine out. When you declined that offer, we had returned the materials. Per our terms and conditions, that were agreed to upon sign up, "During the appraisal process it is sometimes necessary to scratch or scrape Items in order to remove the top layer of material so the testing apparatus can accurately determine the true grade or karat of the Item in question. In the even your material is scratched, scraped, broken or damaged in any way during this process, the Company is not responsible or liable. This is the only way to accurately assess the materials true value". We do apologize that the box was damaged in transit, and we attempted to make it right by offering you compensation.
