      They will tell you that your credit card at check-in will be charged $100.00 as a refundable deposit and when you check-out, inform you that it will show as a credit on the credit card on file. Yet, your credit card will show no credit. Then you will call and email - which they dodge. They will not return your deposit, so do not stay here or if you do, insist on not paying a deposit that they steal and will never return. Front desk will complain that hotel guests do not tip them, either. Not talking about housekeeping, but front desk. They are running a scam not returning deposits and lying about it. BEWARE!

      Checking in was horrible, female employee couldn't explain to me the $100 dollar hold on my CC when I checked in on Jan. 28, 2023, even though I paid on Expedia, later they charged me $1500. She called the manager. Manager explained, it was simple fix. I never received my refund until after my stay. I stayed 10 nights and on 7 of the 10 nights I had to go ask to get access to my room after returning from cancer treatment, sometime even having to come back seconds later for the same issue. The Helpdesk staff made me feel like I was the problem. I would get grimacing looks and stares and comments under their breath as if I was lying and somehow making these issues up. I didn't feel welcomed during my stay at Sonesta Select ********** hotel. I talked to other customers and none had experienced my particular issue. Additionally, 6 of the 10 nights I had to ask for access to the gym. I was given a total of about 8 cards. The manager verified that the dates of my stay would change from night to night. I believe this is some sort of passive-aggressive retaliation against me by not allowing me to be comfortable and denying me the continuity of leaving the hotel and coming to my room to rest, although this is what you advertised and I paid for, but only received it about 30 percent of time. I started thinking more of if I should leave my room to get something to eat or prop my door open and risk theft while I'm traveling just to keep from going to that passive-aggressive hostile Helpdesk. I will take responsibility for my attitude in all of this, it wasn't the best but I always check myself, I always apologize if I overstep personal boundaries and make it a point to say I'm not mad or angry, just very frustrated and disappointed because no-one can figure out or acknowledge how this is happening. There is very little chance I will stay here again and I will spread the word to family and friends, unfortunately.

      This is the worst experience at a sonesta that I have experienced and the last one I will experience because I will never stay at a sonesta suites again. I stayed at this particular location for 6 weeks for a travel assignment and experienced nothing but transactional issues since I was I there. Every week there were random charges on my credit card along with wrong weekly rates being charged for extended stay and I had to walk to the front desk to complain and the excuses was another person put the incorrect charges in or the computer does it on its own. The only reason I stayed is because I had points to use and I didn't feel like moving to another hotel. No help from management at all. It was always excuse after excuse. When I checked out the hotel I was still getting charged, called to get a refund. One person told me they refunded it should take 24 hours. No changes. Called again now its 48 hours. No changes. Called again spoke with a manager he said 3 to 5 days and when I expressed my ongoing issues. The response is his staff did nothing wrong and their computer system did the incorrect charges. I responded well that's not what was said by your staff. He got upset told me to dispute the charge with my credit card company and hung the phone up on me. VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL! So anyone choosing to stay at this hotel be very cautious of your financial information.

We stayed here two nights and found it was infested on our last day we spoke to the ** who lied to us about it being illegal to give us a refund and then tried to tell us we had a great stay . We NEVER would have stayed here for a second knowing it was so poorly run and maintained . Disgusting I have a video as well as photos this was at the ************** location in *******

      I just checked in yesterday, (company paid due to me coming from ***** center to work in our ********** center), first thing was they charged ME 100 bucks to PARK IN A PARKING LOT NOT EVEN A GARAGE OR OVERHEAD, WHO DOES THAT?? Then 100 dollars for "security"..? So I have to do it so I charge the 200 total on my credit card from my US Bank account. When I arrived at the suite at 6:30 last night, I COULD NOT GET THE DOOR TO OPEN AFTER 20 ATTEMPTS, THEN FINALLY ON TRY 21 IT OPENS, APPARENTLY STUCK...so I figure ok, don't let that bother you...the suite smelled funny but again, just ignored it. I go to bed at 10 and am AWAKENED AT 3:30 AM WITH AN ALERT FROM MY BANK STATING I HAVE BEEN CHARGED (CARD NOT PRESENT, YEAH NO KIDDING I WAS ASLEEP) YET ANOTHER 100 BUCKS SO NOW AM CHARGED A TOTAL OF 300 DOLLARS!!! I call them at 7 a.m. and am spoken to by a woman named *** who sounded frustrated WITH ME STATING THEY DID NOT DO IT YET I TOLD HER I AM ON MY ACCOUNT LOOKING RIGHT AT IT...I got mad and hung up after she said she would have a supervisor take care of it. SO, I go to take a shower AND THE SHOWER IS STUCK, WONT WORK, so they send a maintenance guy to SPRAY ** 40 ALL OVER THE ***** AND FINALLY IT WORKS AS I SIT IN MY NIGHT CLOTHES WAITING ..I ALSO TOLD HIM THE DOOR IS STUCK SO HE CHECKS IT AND STATES "YEAH ITS STUCK ALRIGHT", NO KIDDING BUDDY...SO ONCE AGAIN THE ** 40 IS SPRAYED IN THE LOCKS AND FINALLY IT WORKS, but I ask you why is this allowed to even happen? I had to call my bank to dispute the charge AS THEY HAVE YET TO RETURN THE 100 BUCKS THEY TOOK WITHOUT MY PERMISSION at 3:30 this morning. I have locked my credit card now and am afraid to unlock it cause Lord knows what they will charge next...this place is the worst and I am stuck here until January 2nd. Stay away...any place that charges you TO PARK YOUR CAR IN A LOT, IS MORE THAN MERCENARY AND A RIP OFF...WILL TELL MY COMPANY NEVER, EVER, EVER SEND ME THERE AGAIN!!! I WANT MY 100 BUCKS BACK AND NOW.

      I will outline and summarize the awful experience. Do NOT stay at Sonesta Resort in ***********. They do not take responsibility for incidents that occur. Instead, they manipulate the facts and somehow blame the guests for the shortcomings and actions of the staff. 1. Upon check-in, **************) smelled moldy(wet). We had flooding issues, and housekeeping issues and our door to the balcony did not lock. 2. The elevators are aggressive. The sensors have a defect. My hand got closed in the door. I reported it. The resort resolve was an offer of a complimentary dinner for an injury to my wrist. Instead of offering other choices of compensation. The resort is all-inclusive. They told me to take it or leave it. In addition, they wanted me to sign a waiver that stated "due to unavailable amenities" the dinner was being offered. That was a lie, the dinner was being offered due to an injury sustained. The document contained falsified information which I was unwilling to agree to therefore they disregarded my injury/incident. 3. While having dinner at the *************** on the premises, an employee(waitress) grabbed my breast. She grabbed me while asking if I wanted the chicken breast, as she made a sexual reference to the menu. The sexual assault was reported to the resort. My friends witnessed the sexual assault. The security who took the statement of the employee stated to me and my friends that the employee admitted to the sexual assault. After I left *********** and returned home, the resort is now stating that the events do not match. That the employee's statement differs from mine and the witnesses. The resort is covering up a witnessed sexual assault confirmed by their hired security who is now recanting what he said. My experience was awful. It was supposed to be a birthday celebration of a milestone. The resort tells guests what they want to hear at the moment but subsequent actions turn out to be the contrary. Sonesta only cares about Sonesta.

      The hotel in ******* ************ is discusting and should be investigated. They clearly do not clean properly and i am quite sure my sheets were not changed. The room smells like wet dog, moldy coffee makers , a health hazard for sure. Management at the front desk were rude and not helpful. The charged you **** for a cup of coffee in their lobby. STAY AWAY *********** was not helpful at all.

      ******************** the most incompetent individual I ever meet so unprofessional, disrespectful.And Ignorant. This idiot should not be a manager. I have never been insulted offended and embarrassed in my life.I been to Sonesta Hotels, always had a great experience at the Hotels. But I will never go back to the Hotels.And I will be following a complaint with the Department of consumer affairs. And as many more institutions I can follow and may even consider following a lawsuit. The insult and disrespect should never be tolerated.

      The website advertisement is incredibly deceiving. First of all, it shows pictures of a hot breakfast. At most you get cold hard boiled eggs, some bagels and toast. The hotel, despite the pictures that suggest the contract is completely rundown. A Motel 6 is much nicer. Doors and rooms are broken off hinges, there is unsanitary sheets covering couches, theres holes in the walls, there is broken upholstery, there is torn wallpaper, the carpet looks like its 30 years old and the room smells of smoke. When going to the manager to complain of this discrepancy and false advertisement via the pictures, his responses simply I dont care attitude. Zero customer service. This place is a health hazard and is definitely not worth the cost and the advertisements are clearly false. Disgusting and unsanitary as an understatement

      The general manager of the Sonesta select hotel in Chattanooga, Kevin, is a conniving and manipulative liar with a pathetic need to flex his managerial "power." He was audibly hostile from first communication. "This is your final chance to shut your mouth if you want to see your money again, I'm the one who decides." I know, that's why I called to ask. But he steamrolled me as soon as I did so. He lied to me, he lied to his own corporate echelon, all to screw me out of my money. He refused a refund after telling corporate he would in fact do the refund, because I met all criteria, and I only wished to move the date 7 days back. But he told corporate NOT to tell me for some reason, she obviously told me anyway. He then refused to give the refund, cancelled my future reservation, and barred me from the establishment when I called to follow up and also inform him I would be reporting him. Which is fine, because if he's done this me, he's likely to do it to another customer. I have an ongoing case with Sonesta over Kevin and his games. It's worth noting, his subordinates were great, all the corporates I spoke to were great, it's only this manager that I get a bad vibe for. He's doing things at his level like shifting dates. He did everything he could to make their system believe I no showed a reservation I cancelled before I ever got to the hotel. It makes no sense and it's obvious the man is ill suited to be a manager of anything with that kind of behavior. I wanted to be a customer, he made that impossible.
