The worst company In the world, I was getting charged $20 a month for oven gas in my apartment building for 7 years, my remote meter broke one month so I got a $425 bill they won't send a tech out for 4 months of it being broken so I gotta get my super to bring me down there so I can take a Pic of the meter every month for them to adjust my bill they also charge after the 4 months for a tech to come down there, this company needs to be reported.

National grid is the worst service ever. Been waiting on a tech to turn on my gas for a week, been told that a tech will arrive everyday for a week and no one has showed up or called. No one seems to be on the same page and no one seems to know what they are doing or going on.

They have been inconsistently compiling our bill with miss printed dates, over charges, and pauses on our billing account. None of which has been communicated properly. When calling into customer **********************, they did not provide concise billing information. They have posted erroneous dates of usage for our gas bill. We have tried to communicate with people who are competent to explain our billing charges to no avail. It is our sincere hope that the ************************* will review this complaint and execute a fair investigation of this matter.

I transferred service and National Grid was very unhelpful in this process. I have moved several times and this was the first terrible negative experience I had with the Electric side of the company. Their quality of service has gone down tremendously. Their agents dropped the ball, and I requested compensation for the inconvenience, seeing as it was their fault, and the last agent I spoke with, placed the ticket for some sort of compensation, and I have yet to receive it. They were quick to send me my final bill though. If the shoe was on the other foot and I messed up, or I was late with a payment, you be sure the extra payment was coming out of my pocket. This corporation has reached a stage where greed and money is their interest, and not their consumers. This should tell you a lot about who they are as a company right now. They say they are for the consumers, but I beg to differ.

I am writing to formally lodge a serious complaint regarding the outrageous and unjustified increase in my recent bill, particularly the delivery service fee, which has nearly doubled within just one month. This sudden and extreme escalation is highly irregular, financially burdensome, and *************** has come to my attention that many other customers are also experiencing similar billing spikes and have voiced their complaints publicly, indicating that this is not an isolated issue. Given the widespread concern, I am demanding an immediate and thorough investigation into the billing practices of National Grid to determine the cause of these excessive ********** a responsible customer, I have always ensured timely payments for services rendered, but this drastic increase raises serious concerns about transparency, fairness, and the integrity of billing calculations.I formally request that this company should: 1) Provide a detailed, transparent breakdown of the factors contributing to these drastic increases.2) Explain and justify the soaring delivery service fees.3) Initiate an independent investigation into billing practices to ensure fairness and prevent potential overcharging.Failure to address these concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner will leave customers with no choice but to escalate this issue to state regulators, consumer protection agencies, and elected officials.I expect a formal response and a resolution to this matter as soon as possible.

The gas to my house was off for 6 months due to construction and national grid charged me every month for my average gas usage from the previous year. I called them twice a month and was told only a supervisor could rectify my bill and they would have a supervisor call me. 11 separate times I was told this and did not receive a single call back. They sent a technician to my house to verify that there was no gas usage but that wasnt enough proof to have a supervisor call me back. It got to the point that I told one of the representatives that this is a recorded line so you have proof and I will follow through if your supervisor calls me I will Venmo you $500 I still have not received a call back. My bill is climbing and climbing and all they do is I can put your bill on hold so you dont get sent to collections but a supervisor will need to fix the issue. I was finally told why didnt you just cancel your service while you do the work so you wouldnt get charged the maintenance fees either and I said I called when the work started and at least 15 times since and you are the first ****** that said that was an option. National grid has a monopoly on gas in *********** so they know you have no other options and their customer ********************** makes it clear that they hold all the cards and do not care about the customer at all.

My usage continues to go down, but rates for gas and electric continue to soar! I would give a negative star rating if I could.

Called to disconnect gas when moving out of my old apartment and they would not disconnect over the phone. They said they needed to visit the building, which I couldn't arrange because I was moving out and my landlord was out of the country. The landlord dropped the ball and didn't switch over the service when they returned and the bill kept accumulating. So I called National Grid again and this time they did turn off the service without visiting the building, even though I had been told this was impossible when I first called. Additionally, they refused to extend the due date for my bill while I work out this issue with my landlord, putting me in the position of having to pay the bill or risk having it sent to collections. Also, their website doesn't work once your account is closed, so I have to sort this whole process out by phone and mail and cannot even see what the balance on the account is. ********************** is a very poorly run company that takes advantage of their monopoly over natural gas distribution in my area.
