I wrote ng a letter saying no way does my small house warrant a high electric bill like i keep getting. I asked for someone to come out and show me . They asked for more information which i gave and never heard back. The prices they charge are outrageous along with the delivery fee. They keep getting rich by gouging us regular folks pockets. Its hard enough to make ends meet without being ripped off by an electric company.

We do not have record of ************** contacting National Grid to discuss his billing concerns. Our Customer ********************** Agents are available at ************ to provide details on the rate/price structure, available options; such as 3rd party Supplier enrollments, free home energy assessment though MASSAVE, and Budget Billing, initiate meter investigations, and answer any other questions or concerns.   We encourage ************* to contact us for assistance.

      * To make sure we can provide our customer's ************************* through Standard Offer Service, we buy electricity periodically throughout the year. We conduct a competitive solicitation, requesting bids from wholesale electricity suppliers who want to supply us electricity that we can deliver to our customers. As a result, we enter into contracts to purchase electricity from one or more of these wholesale suppliers. National Grid does not profit from any of these arrangements or from the prices we pay wholesale electricity suppliers under these contracts

Person started can't hear you, can u hear me? hung up on me. I taped both calls. 2nd call as agent ******* kept telling me computer delays. Nope. After couple mins attitude changed told me pay ******. I asked why go up frm ****** on bill, ****** 5mins b4on call ,now ******. She took ******..then I said I'd pay Wal-Mart next month. She told me Wal-Mart don't take payments anymore. I called Wal-Mart they told me yes we take national grid pymts. I'm respectful to ppl. I expect from a business I get same treatment. I be 65y couple months..I'm in 2party state to tape convo. At beginning of there call says calls be taped for quality assurance. That's all u need. Tape calls if customer ********************** is like this to customers. You always have truth bc they lied in my calls today. tho I paid this month ****** total. I asked 4nearest office ,they told me they couldn't pull up my acct and answer my ?s. Why I asked they dont do that never got nearest office. Terrible all around.

I've been an NGrid customer for many years. Always pay my bill on time. Over the past couple of months ********************* have been replacing gas lines throughout the neighborhood. It appeared that one of their heavier pieces of equipment might have hit my mailbox. No one was around to see it. Rather than calling the company we simply spoke with the onsite supervisor and the guys. The are straight up good guys. This morning they replaced our mailbox and post as it was also almost knocked over. THANK YOU guys for being professional and taking care of your customers. You are appreciated.*********,*** & *******************

They say that monopolies are illegal in *******, and yet we are forced to work with companies like this without any local competition. How is this okay? They will tell you that an appointment is scheduled for service activation and then repeatedly no show on you. I've been trying to get my service activated for over a week now and now they are going to make us wait the weekend. Ridiculous!!!!!!!!!

Customer **********************/Billing staff all say something different. The team ******* the phones are not critical thinkers. Disputing a charge for grossly overcharging for an apartment that no one was in most of the time (double a 4 bedroom with people home all day). Requested an investigation on the accuracy of the usage, no response. Asked to speak with Mgr, one called but left a message and we couldn't get back to him but he did say he would try again by end of day and did not. Made another call and was told the supv/mgr will not call me back. Website was not updated with current information was unable to perform the task that the recording asked us to use on the website...so in circles we went. Complained needed update detail and tech services was going to look into and fix it...it wasn't. Agreed to payment plan and was told since service ended so does the pymt plan and you go to collections when other members prior did not communicate that. Was paying 3X the agreed upon plan monthly. I believe there should be an investigation done on this company, I know its big and I know rates were grossly overcharged, which should have NEVER been allowed by the government. But most importantly, they spiked up the usage. Requested an investigation to compare with the neighbors and they wouldn't address that. You can't get past the one level of defense and that is individual who repeats the same message. How do we fight this process? There is integrity and compliance concerns with the organization. State needs to do an internal audit on this business and hold them accountable. They are lacking in having the effective team to manage the process but more importantly they are committing fraud by spiking up peoples usage and falsely billing them.

Mislead me to amount a huge debt picked and chose what to notify me about and what to stay silent about I have not lived in ** a yr yet and they have managed to somehow slap a debt of **** dollars which would have never happened if they would have simply advised me of more than anticipated power usage, but instead they waited 6 months until I had acumulares **** in debt, then they advised me to not pay my bill to default my balance billing instead of canceling so that it would look like I wasnt paying my bill when I was, well they took no one not two but three months to cancel a service that online states that u can cancel anytime, and those 3 months were unnecessarily added on to that debt that could have been avoided if they would have just notified me that I was using more than anticipated, they claim I could have read my pdf bill which I never thought of downloading due to the fact that when u pay a bill using their mobile app it doesnt say u still owe more money it says u owe nothing after u pay bill so I never felt the need to download the actual bill since I was doing paperless billing. This company is misleading, not advising clients and not educating new clients like myself who is new to company and new to Massachusetts. They took advantage of my ignorance and they didnt educate me on balance billing o signed up for not knowing any better. This that they did is illegal in the state where I move from, its consumer abuse and theft. And Im taking this issue whenever I gotta take it because Ive yet to live in this state a yr and I owe this company over **** dollars. Thats when company is dishonest and now I see why. They got horrible reviews

I like to file a complaint on your technicians that come out to **************************************************************************. There is a gas leak that needs to be fix and the technicians tell the homeowner that someone will come and fix it this is going for a month and half and the lawn is burnt and the smell is so bad every time you pass the house and no one from nationalgrid comes to fix the leak the technician come and give a stupid answers oh its just in the air and its dissolves thats a stupid answer to give. So what happens if someone or something happens you will say something wrong again. This leak needs to be fix ASAP! The technicians just come out and give stupid answers at the house when they come it needs to be fix immediately before something bad comes out of the leak. The smell is awful. Please send someone over to fix this leak before something bad happens.

Worst company you'll ever deal with, they'll send your account to collections without ever attempting to collect from you directly.

If I could give zero stars I would. I moved to MA in December and called almost immediately asking that my address be transferred into my name and that it be back dated till 12/1/2022. It is now late April and I am finally receiving my first statement after 5+ phone calls to them. The only problem is that the statement is only from March 14th meaning that my landlord STILL has a balance for this address. On the 2nd call I was told they weren't sure why the account hadn't been process but hey flagged it with a manager and it would be handled. In the meantime I was assured my landlord would NOT be getting statements. (not true)The 3rd time I called I was told that it was "stuck" in the system but they figured it out and that there would be a few weeks till they figured out what my total was and be able to offer me a statement so I could get up to date but that because it was their mistake, I couldn't be held responsible for more than 60 days. At this point I was told I still needed for a meter reader to come and see where things were before they could finalize a statement and let me begin making payments. At no point yet (Early March) have they been able to tell me what I owe.The 4th phone call I was told that my account finally had been activated on March 14th. I AGAIN made sure that they were going to back date my account and that my landlord didn't have to look out for statements. This person confirmed everything above. This is all in their records and is confirmed each time I call.Today I call asking why my statement is only reflecting from March 14th and they said I HAD TO REQUEST IT BE BACK DATED. "YOU MEAN WHAT I HAVE BEEN DOING SINCE DECEMBER???" I am now waiting on ANOTHER call back from a manager that will likely never come. This feel criminal that they are my only option. Side note: My landlord had auto payment from this address and when I made my first call the payments stopped being processed by National Grid putting the account past due.

Over charge aftyer death. I tried to close my dad's electric bill 2 days after his death. they told me can't be closed without a death certificated. gave my Email to get info to Email the death certificated as soon as I get it, but never receive an E mail from National Grid. Got a bill for about $100 with an R1. that amount was double of what my dad used to pay with an R2 acct. Called national Grid to ask why that was changed. They said never received the form for R2 request. Told them that form was mailed on 2/3/2023 with the payment, the prior bill had R2 on it. How come after I inform of my father's death the R2 was cahnged to R1 and the bill increased. told me nothing the can't do because the person on acct is death. then, the rep asked me for my address or Email to sent me the bill for me to pay it. I told her no, I not going to give my info away. I said bye and called the manager of the elderly building where my dad lived, she told me not to worry about it. I can't believe, that in moments so hard like the death of your love one, when you got short of money, National Grid doesn't care and still asking for over rated bill payment!
