Thank you for brining this matter to our attention as we take these situations very seriously. Our client National Grid placed an account for the consumer for collection with our office on 11-29-23. our office has never spoken to this consumer and we have to date only sent one notice to the consumer which is our first notice that is an exact copy of what the **** and FTC call the "Model Validation Notice". Its contents are verbatim what these government entities dictate the letter must be. A copy of this letter sent to the consumer is attached. Based on this complaint we are going to close the account and return it to our client National Grid. This will trigger the removal of the tradelines that have been reported to ***********. However, it is critical to note as the original creditor, what national Grid does with the account after we return it is completely out of our control.Initial Complaint

I am writing to you because I was not able to navigate the system in regard to my BBB Complain # ********.
I am not accepting the response because:
(#1) - I directly contacted both the **************** National Grid and also the ******************** Associated Credit Services, Inc. and neither were able to provide me with a Bill proving that I owe the debt of $526.
(#2) The **************** National Grid, explained that all of my current accounts are up-to-date.
(#3) I provided the ******************** Associated Credit Services, Inc. with my direct phone number and my home address and also my email address and asked that they send me a copy of any debt incurred. They agreed that they would, however, I have not heard from them as of this date (2/7/24).
(#4) - I am still awaiting a bill of the stated debt. The ******************** Associated Credit Services, Inc. stated that they do not have a bill currently but will attempt to get one from the **************** National Grid.
(#5) In the meantime, there should not be any Collections placed on any of my Credit Reports until this issue is resolved.
Best,
*******************************Business Response

Two times in the past 90 days I have received a bill from Associated Credit Services, Inc. stating that as a debt collector they are attempting to collect $313.32 from me for an unpaid debt. No explanation of charges is offered. To my knowledge I have never incurred charges with ************** N.A. I sincerely believe this is fraudulent in nature and is an attempt to take advantage of me. I have not paid any money to them, nor do I intend to do so. My concern is they may fraudulently report this as an unpaid debt to the credit reporting bureaus without any validity to their claim.Business Response
