      We had home and auto insurance with MAPFRE for a very long time. Our rates continuously increased over the past 5 years until they got to the point that we could not justify being a customer. No claims and no accidents on either policy. Due to the exponential increase in rates despite no justification for charging more, we have ended both our policies and moved to other companies. We never missed a payment, are responsible homeowners and drivers, and we were not valued as a customer, so we moved on.

      I have been a MAPFRE customer for years. I finally needed to use them for a damage claim. I should have known there was going to be issues becasue my mechanic refused to work with them. Now apparently it is MY job to find another approved repair shop. BUT the list they gave me is for Auto Body Shops. After calling 8 different shops, with no luck - because they are body shops not mechnaics. Called MAPFRE back and asked if they had a list of mechnics. Was told they only have one list and it was MY job to call all 85 body shops on the list and find one that also does mechanical repairs. As if I have nothing better to do but do their job for them. I will NOT be renewing my policy. I CANNOT MORE STRONGLY NOT RECOMMEND MAPFRE.

      Im literally just in shock! Would have been four years with this insurance company if they had better communication and were honest! Ive never had a problem with my insurance being renewed every six months! The minute I ask about other insurances my policy gets CANCELED without my knowledge! I had to find out through my car finance place that I no longer had insurance! Whats even more crazy is my policy renewed on Feb. 18th and I called to speak with Mario who said over the phone yes your policy went through everything is great just to find out that they actually canceled it! Absolutely insane! I went ahead and switched my insurance today 3/6/25 but canceling my insurance without my knowledge? Is that even legal like ***!

      I'll start of by saying I have never had such a displeasure of having to deal with such an incompetent insurance company. Mapfre is by far the worst experience I've ever had with a insurance company. They definitely went above and beyond to make a already stressful situation worse. The agent assigned to my claim Jennifer S. had a terrible attitude, and always spoke at me as if I did something wrong and everything is my fault. They cancelled the rental three different times while my car was being repaired. The first time because Jennifer was calling the wrong phone number for the body shop. Two other times because Jennifer said its taking too long and should have been done already. Not once was I called, texted, or notified of a issue and reason for cancelling the rental. I found out each time through the rental company notifying me that they stopped payment. Every time I had to get involved and basically do the insurance companies job for them by calling the rental company, the body shop and contacting mapfre to straighten it out. I should not have to do that it is YOUR job. When I finally had enough of getting the run-a-round I asked for a manager. Unfortunately she was just as out of the loop as everyone else. All the info I sent in and set up prior as far as the auto body shops name, and additional info directing Mapfre to pay them direct she claimed I never filled out. How is it that my car is in the body shop this whole time, you have already appraised it, its being repaired, you are canceling the rental over and over and yet you don't have the info??? Her next response was it was extended not cancelled. extensions take time. Um... no they don't and your agent told me she cancelled it. I ended up getting charged and had to get a refund from the rental company. I got my car back and never have to deal with this company again. I feel bad for anyone that uses them as their insurance agency.

      Do not go with this company. They are thieves and will hike your rates up even with no tickets or accidents. They will also charge you ridiculous fees just to cancel your policy. Its insane to charge a person just to cancel something that they already pay for. Steer clear and use someone else to insure your vehicle. I would give zero stars if i could. Paid in full every month and never even used them but still getting ripped off and charged. Beware of this predatory company!

      This company cannot tag a transaction correctly. I'm glad I do not have them for my carrier. Their customer service is awful. ***** getting into accidents with this provider! Unfortunately you need to select a rating, however 1 star is as low as it goes

      Mapfre is the worst car insurance. I was involved in a hit & run at nighy, and unfortunately they were no surveillance cameras to captured the plate numbers of who hit me. I filled a police report that same night but Mapfre insurance still denied my claim because after all their investigation it was determined that it didn't had any proof to claim a hit & run. So this people are not recomendable at all. The only person that makes a difference is Ms Nicole. My name is ****** *** ***. Worst car insurance that exists, dont ever make business with them. I wont be renewing with them again.

      Mapfre is one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with. They do not seem to care about their customers or complaints or questions and do not do anything to try to assist. they constantly say they will have a "manager" call you back but no one ever does They want to cancel my daughter's car insurance when she has paid every month because she went off auto pay. For over a month I have made 1-2 calls EVERY week to try to clear this up and not one person was willing to help. Always "I will accelerate your file and have someone get back to you" Only once did someone call me back at 7:00PM when we were eating dinner and left a message that had absolutely NOTHING to do with my call. My entire family is changing companies and will no longer have anything to do with company. They are shady.
