      I just read these reviews for the heck of it. As a 20+ year customer of MAPFRE, I have been nothing short of delighted with the coverage and service that I have received. I have had very few claims but when I did, I was dealt with quickly, professionally and courteously by folks that I have dealt with. I have found prices fair and competitive. I am really surprised and puzzled by these reviews. I have NOTHING negative to say about pricing, service and responsiveness. Thank you MAPFRE!

      Arguably the worst experience I’ve ever ever had with an insurance company. They are predatory and have shady business practices. I tried canceling my policy and they’ve had multiple loops and times where I’ve had to call their billings department multiple times just to get a simple request done and just to get simple information out of them for me to cancel. It has been a five month process and it’s still ongoing.

      Will be leaving mapfre, ever since they bought my old insurance company nothing has been the same, just a huge scam and bigger prices, not impressed whatsoever

      I just got an increase $1370 on my car insurance I have no claims and 4 old cars a ************** and a 2015 there is no explanation or reason for the increase. I have used Mapfre for 7 years

      Just got our renewal notice. Increase of over $600.00 this year after an increase of almost $300.00: last year. They must think we are all idiots. Had no problem finding same coverage for a much lower cost, even less than before their increase. Oh yeah, excellent credit rating, no accidents, no tickets. Adios Mapfre. Youre not the only game in town!

      I do not recommend insuring through Mapfre Insurance. Their fee structure is excessive. I was charged $98 in fees on one bill and none of it made sense to me. When I called to have my billing description explained, the customer service agent said he didn't have the breakdown available to explain the charges. He said I should call my agent, but I already tried that and Mapfre did not give this bill breakdown information to the agent either. Beware of this company.

      If youre looking for a new insurance company, stay away and look somewhere else!! This company will raise your premium significantly without a warning. I just purchased a policy and within 2 weeks got a total of $1900 increases, after receiving SEVERAL policy increases throughout the 2 week period, with no consent or say. They will quote you for a completely different number and keep running your auto credit what appears to be daily. They need to be thoroughly investigated and shut down.

      I just received a call from my insurance agent notifying me that my homeowner's policy was being cancelled effective today! I have been a customer for 30 years, in my residence for 24 of those years and received absolutely no notification except for the day of the cancellation. This is downright criminal on Mapfre and they should be investigated and brought to justice on such poor treatment of a long-standing customer who has never filed a single complaint or incident. I am taking this to the Attorney General's office the Governor and all of the news outlets now. Shame on you, Mapfre for such a poor judgement. Claiming that I never responded to a letter I never received. Shame.

      I had MAPFRE car and home insurance for 20 years! My Escrow account pays my home premium annually. A miscommunication between MAPFRE and my Escrow Account lead to the escrow payment arriving late at MAPFRE! They cancelled my homeowners with NO notification! Now, MAPFRE had received the check from the Escrow but had not processed it! I had to purchase new insurance from a different carrier and Im waiting for my refund from MAPFRE! 20 year customer, always paid on time, no notification of cancellation and they refused to reinstate when they still have my escrow money! It is disappointing to see how a Company can be so heartless and not appreciate loyal customers!

      Extremely incompetent and unprofessional insurance company. (1) UTMOST IMORTANCE: they will accidentally cancel your insurance policy with absolutely no notification, no email, no phone call (2) They make it extremely difficult to cancel your auto policy, taking about a week to perform and through email (3) They are nearly impossible to reach by phone and their agents do not know how to perform basic tasks. This company should be investigated by insurance regulators as their incompetence and bad business practices will undoubtedly leave consumers unknowingly without insurance. I am glad that soon I will never have to deal with this poor company again.
