Geico is a fraudulent insurance firm as far as i can tell. they denied a claim that they knew needed a parts replacement. a woman working remotely continuously denied the claim, saying that she could search on the internet and find examples of how the part could be "recalibrated" and did not need repair. This was an obvious fiction that she pursued for a month. Geico advertises seemless claim approval in-app. nothing could be further from the truth. one month later, i am still dealing with the issue, and they say i need to leave my car at the shop for an indeterminate amount of time to wait for a Geico specialist to inspect the car. All this despite having taken the car to the repair shop twice for diagnostics in which detailed photos and videos were taken to explain the need for a replacement part. Geico engages in unfair and deceptive practices, as well as false advertising. Their license to operate in ** should be revoked following an investigation by the ***** and insurance regulator.

Would give 0 stars if able to. 8 years of continued insurance with them apparently doesn't mean anything if you've made one payment mistake. Change your debit card, miss a payment, get in an accident, call to clarify and rectify and reactivate insurance, all for them to tell you no. I would abandon this company ASAP

I have been with Geico for probably ***** years. 1 claim, ever... for a mouse demolishing the wiring in my engine. My 16-year-old recently started driving and is licensed. I tried to add him to my policy and they set my price from $1,026 annually to $3,266 annually!! I shopped all around for other policies of the same coverage and landed at $1,800 annually with a different carrier for 2 cars and the both of us. To say I am disappointed in Geico is an understatement. I understand that new drivers are high risk, however... the $20K+ I have given to Geico over half of my lifetime should be taken into account when adding a new driver to my policy. Terrible customer treatment.

I was on auto pay monthly. Out of nowhere, GEICO charged the card 800 dollars!!! It should've been 125, not 800! The agent I spoke with to clear this up told me to dispute the $800, and then I would get a cancellation and a bill for $125. Well I never got anything until a week ago and it was for $279 that I can't pay that much and my insurance is going to be canceled in less than a week. I just got off the phone with another agent and they told me there is absolutely nothing they can do and all I can do is pay the full $279. No partial payments, no extensions, no nothing. Out of nowhere $800 and all the aggravation and what I'm left with is going to be a canceled policy. I have no idea where they decided they were going to hit the card for $800 but it was not my mistake and now I'm going to have my whole insurance and therefore life screwed up because of their stupid mistake and they will do nothing to rectify it. I was at State farm for years and they were expensive, but they worked with you unbelievably to make sure everything was good. I should have just kept overpaying them and stayed away from Geico. I recommend you do the same.

my sister pasted away in May. I informed geico of her death and wanted to top her insurance. They proceeded to demand a death certificate and other things before they would stop her policy. They then informed me she owed 52 dollars for cancelling the policy. I told them she didn't cancel she died. They said it still had to be paid. I paid them their blood money and now my deceased sister is getting mail from them about bundling, what I have no idea since she is dead. It's cruel to keep getting mail from them. Run don't walk away from them.

Geico sent random bills with no explanation, expecting u to pay. When u call geico u have no option to talk with a human or chat with a human. I was so frustrated that I went to a different car insurance company. Geico send the $16 no explanation bill to collectors. Still i have no idea what it is for, again I called Geico, I couldn't get to a human. Im not sure if this collection agency is legit or a scam, I afraid to even pay.

My car was hit by horribly heavy hail. The agent assured me that the car would be able to be fixed, so I scheduled a time to have it go in.When I actually dropped the car off, it was over double the original estimate the agent gave me, and was considered totaled. Not only are they valuing my car at less than its comparable value, but they will not cover my loan amount OR give me a payout that is worth ***** now I am stuck with a car they won't fix, at their own fault, and the payout they are offering is less than a car we had totaled by the hail with close to 300k miles. My car has only half of that in mileage and was in excellent condition.

I want to begin with the most basic premise: I was in a car accident on June 17, 2025. It was a traumatic event, both physically and emotionally. However, what followed was, in many ways, more distressing than the accident itself: I was informed by Geico, my insurer, that I would have to pay $2,500 out of pocket to receive basic assistance. This, despite my policy clearly stating that my deductible is $250.Let us begin with a questionperhaps the most essential question in any society that claims to be based on justice and the rule of law: What is a contract worth, if one party is allowed to disregard it unilaterally? If my policy explicitly defines my deductible as $250, by what ethical or legal mechanism can Geico now demand $2,500? Can any company simply override its own written terms when doing so suits its financial interest?
