I purchased some gifts for my niece and the changed my mind about what I was getting her. I emailed The Knot asking them to restore these items to their registry. They emailed me and told me that they did. They then proceeded to contact my niece and tell her I returned the items and that they couldnt be marked as available to purchase again. Both of these things are terrible business practice. Who buys what gifts should be anonymous including if they return them. And any returned items should be put back on the registry as available to purchase.

I signed up with the knot/wedding wire/wedding pro's as a vendor around 11/26/2024, I agreed to the first month of ****** to be added to their vendor list to advertise my wedding photography business. I have been trying to cancel my account with this company for a few months, they keep ducking and dodging me refusing to cancel my account and continue to charge me for a service that I dont want. They have so far scammed me out of 900 and I would like to get a credit back of 600 since I only agreed to the first ****** to try the service. The service is full of scammers and this company just allows you to receive scam calls from people that are not even real. I need my account cancelled with this fraudulent company and would like to receive back ****** that they took from my account all the while I have been trying to cancel the account. They make it next to impossible to cancel your subscription just to continue to keep taking your money.

I am filing a complaint against WeddingPro (WeddingWire and The Knot) due to their refusal to cancel my account, lack of proper communication, and misleading business practices. I have been a client since October 2023, but my experience has been frustrating and unprofessional.I first requested cancellation in May 2024 due to dissatisfaction with the service. No one responded. I followed up in June 2024, and again, no one reached out. In an attempt to get assistance, I contacted their sales department, and the representative I spoke with was rude and condescending, blaming my photos for my lack of clients. She informed me that I was locked into a contract until October 2024.When October arrived, I reluctantly adjusted my account to advertise with WeddingWire only, removing The Knot. My request was ignored for weeks, forcing me to follow up multiple times. Eventually, the change was made, but I never signed a new contract nor received any documentation confirming a ********** December 2024, I missed a payment and attempted to resolve it through their website, but their system only allowed me to update my billing information, which was already ********** February 2025, I formally requested cancellation on February 18. My billing date was February 17, a federal holiday, but they still charged me another month. I was later told I had to request cancellation five days in advance, a policy I was never made aware of.On February 22, I was informed I couldnt cancel until I paid two past-due balances. I acknowledged my December balance and offered to settle it, but I refused to pay for future services. The representative insisted I was still under contract, but I have no record of signing a renewal agreement.I request an immediate cancellation of my account without further financial obligation. WeddingPros misleading and unethical practices should be investigated.

This is in regards to a contract with Urban Bridal Shop. We agreed to a one year contract with this company in which they would list our business and provide leads. They also agreed to come out and take "professional ****************** of our location to enhance the ad. We tried to schedule the photoshoot the day of the signing but was told we needed to wait and they would be in touch to schedule the photoshoot. We reached out a couple of times but to no avail was a photoshoot set. We received below the minimum leads each month and had no conversions from their site. After 9 months of paying for a service we were not receiving we tried to cancel with them. They told us we can't cancel because of the contract. We explained that they were in breach of the contract and we were leaving their service. We have not used their service and put a stop payment on the contract. We spoke to many people at the company and our last correspondence was they would be in touch with us. They have since turned us over to a collections agency to try to collect the remaining balance. At this time I am not looking for a refund only for them to drop the collections and let the contract terminate.

I renewed a previous subscription with The Knot Worldwide on 12/16/2024. I previously had an event planning business but had changed my business name and type of business to florist. I was told that I would be able to keep my original profiles so that my reviews remained, they would just change the name of the business and I could update the information. That was false, on both The Knot and Wedding Wire it created new profiles for my florist business. On WeddingWire my reviews transferred, but on The Knot, they didn't. I reached out about this and they told me there was nothing they could do. I also asked to have my prior business name removed from my profile as it was still showing up as an event planner and since I was not paying for an additional membership, it was viewing my entire account as a free subscription. This kept me from updating additional information about my new business and did not allow access to everything they had told me about during the sales pitch. I emailed the support team 3-5 times and spoke with several member over the phone with no resolution ever taking place. They claimed my old business was still active on social media and website so they can't remove it, which is entirely false. Also, I was passed around to a new person with every email so I constantly had to re-explain the situation and they claimed to not understand what I was saying each time along with never getting the appropriate assistance. I expressed I want to cancel my membership as it has been less than 30 days since signing up but they told me that I had to pay the remaining 12 months. They haven't held up their end of the contract and I feel like I signed under false pretenses and promises that they couldn't uphold.

Several months ago I was persuaded into agreeing into a 12 month contract to pay around 220 a month to market my services on The Knot and Wedding Wire Pro. The sales agent did her job very well of persuading and basically guaranteeing leads to make my money back and more. Fast forward 3 months in I did not receive not 1 lead. I expressed dissatifaction and requested to suspend contract to which other colleagues had also requested to do in the past and was granted but I was told they could not help me and go through with cancelation. Fast forward I was never contacted again so I believed issue was resolved. Wrong I get alerted by a legal firm whose attempting to collect a payment more than ***** dollars. This seems ridiculous and extremely predatory considering they have not upheld their part in what they marketed essentially and I refuse to pay for something that I did not receive.

Heres an updated version of your BBB complaint letter:Subject: Complaint Against The Knot ***************************** and Request for Contract CancellationDear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to formally file a complaint against The Knot Worldwide, **** regarding my vendor contract and the challenges I faced with their platform and customer service.I signed a vendor contract with The Knot, but almost immediatelywithin the first monthI noticed significant issues, including:1.Spam Leads: Many of the leads I received through the platform were spam or inquiries from individuals requesting free photoshoots or extremely low prices. These leads did not align with my professional standards or business model.2.*****************************: I reached out to *********************** customer service during the first month to express my concerns and requested to cancel the contract. Unfortunately, my requests were met with unhelpful responses, and no action was taken to resolve the issue or address my concerns.3.Additional Issues: Over time, the problems persisted, including unqualified leads and even an incident where a customer booked through ********************** stole one of my lenses during a photoshoot, leading to financial loss and distress.Despite my immediate efforts to cancel the contract and the ongoing challenges, The Knot refused to honor my request, citing their strict 12-month term policy. This refusal is unreasonable given that the service did not meet the promised standards and caused more harm than good for my business.I am seeking the BBBs assistance in resolving this matter. Specifically, I request:The cancellation of my contract with The Knot without penalty.A review of The Knots customer service practices, as they failed to address legitimate vendor concerns in a timely or effective manner.Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your assistance in reaching a fair resolution.Sincerely,****** ******

In October 2023 I entered into a 12 month contract with The Knot and Wedding Wire to advertise a business. The *** was insistent about how promising it was for a business like mine given my area, which I would come to find as false advertising. I signed all necessary paperwork and began my contract. I had a year full of spam emails and bargain shoppers and that was it. This complaint is partially because I want the BBB/consumers to be aware of just how shady this organization is when roping in vendors for advertising, and because I think I deserve a refund for 10/2024 and 11/2024 (outside the original 12 months)When my account was set to renew, I was never contacted, which they said I would be. After the 13th payment I contacted them requesting to cancel, very upset that no one had checked in as they were supposed to. They refused to refund that last payment, or cancel when I asked because I wasn't inside the "5 day cancellation period" before my next bill (call was 3 days before next bill). Although this could have easily been done manually with me on the phone, they wanted my money. After a long disagreement and no morality from the business, I paid the 14th month of my ***************************** writing that I wanted my account cancelled. I then noticed that after the 12 month contract ended, they not only continued the service without communication but charged a higher monthly rate. Upon digging into my initial contract, it did say, buried, that it could auto-renew but NOT that it would be different rates for any reason. On a call, I was told by a customer service *** that when I signed up for services over a year ago, I had to check a box that said they could change rates when they saw fit. This IMPORTANT information should be communicated in a way that is obvious, not hidden somewhere with only the interest of the TK&WW in mind. It needs to be clearly stated in the copy of the terms that the vendor is provided. This to me is huge deceit of the consumer.

I sent a request to Wedding Pro via CS email ************************************ on 11/22 requesting to non-renew my contract which would have come into effect 12/1/24. I had not heard a response from them for days, so I called on 11/25/24 to speak to someone. I received a confirmation from someone named *** *******, who stated in the cancel confirmation email, that my current contract would be in effect until 11/30, and starting in December, it would be a FREE listing. No where in the email did it state I missed a deadline to notify the company within 5 business days of my contract renewing, no heads up was given that my account would be swept $300, nothing. I checked my bank account on 12/4 and noticed that they indeed swept my account for $300. I contacted customer service on 12/4 ( I dont remember the girls name, but it should be recorded on their end), spoke with her from 10:56am-11:22a, explaining to her that I needed a refund since I was charged when I wasnt supposed to be. She kept telling me I didnt give 5 business days which is required for notice to cancel in time. I told her when I **, the *** did NOT advise I missed any deadline. She kept advising it says that in the contract, and I told her in the email response, *** said current listing ends 11/30, and in Dec it is a FREE listing. She placed me on hold and got back on saying an error was made on their end and the contract was not cancelled and actually renewed which was their error. She was going to transfer me telling me billing would handle the refund and she would cx the contract. Then I get placed on hold again, and she said she was misinformed, that it did not renew and I missed the 5 business day deadline to cancel. We went back and forth and she told me there was nothing she could do. She even stated, "I even got a little confused because there is a lot on this contract." She works there, if she isnt clear, then what makes it feasible to charge me this fee. Attachment for ***** info on this.....
