      hughesnet is the worse satellite company ever. I has been trying to cancel my service because it is not gave me the service they had promised me
      The service is terrible terrible. I had to be on the like for 5 hours!!! Being transferred over and over without resolution until I got tired and hung up
      The service promised to me
      Is not what I am getting my internet buffers every min. We cannot watch a movie continuously it's more buffering

      I received my federal grant for the ACP, which takes 30 dollars off my bill. Hughes net wants me to upgrade, and lock me into a 24 month contract. This will increase my bill to 92 dollars, eats up my grant with no savings.

      Modem was returned to this company. I was charged an additional $215.50 for non return of the device. I was asked for the tracking number that they provided to me and should have on record. They refused to make good and stated without the tracking number I am out of luck. I would never recommend this company to anyone. The service was far more expensive than the quality. I've since found another carrier, with higher bandwith and less money. DO NOT sign up with Hughes Net, you will regret it.

      Customer service is a joke. Service has not worked properly since installation which was just over 30 days ago. Representative is also saying I signed a “contract” and will not waive fees even though I have proof its not working. Stay away from this company they are garbage.

      I am just like every other customer on here. Within days of getting this service, I realized it wasn’t going to work. Then am told I will be charged over $400 for early cancellation fees. Not being able to afford the whole amount, I was stuck paying for TWO internet services and only one worked… hughesnet wasn’t even connected, yet stuck paying $80+ for a service a month that I’m not using. It’s garbage. DONT DO IT.

      Well here is what I think of Hughsnet.
      For one when it was installed I was misslead anf had to pay a substantial amount for a devise not needed.
      For two the install was never finished and left the cable on my house just hanging and never buried the cable or even had a phone call from the distributor who done the install to come and fix any lose ends the installer left.
      The third is I had more problems with Hughsnet and had to have the system looked at two times and both times needed repairs.
      I don't want Hughsnet now or will I ever have Hughsnet at any of my residents.
      I have since moved and the Hughsnet wouldn't be able to be installed here at my new place due to the trees I have now on my property anyway. Even if I could get Hughsnet here I wouldn't.
      Not a very satisfied customer of what I have had to go through.
      It really isn't worth having when you are gone for two weeks and it don't work when you get home.
      I'm done with Hughsnet and will find another provider.
      Oh by the way I have had Hughsnet for seven months and haven't been able to use the service only about have of the seven I have had it.

      Hughes network is a terrible internet an telephone company.I haven't been with 6months yet an I'm sorry I did.I don't have service like promised an the price they gave me isn't what they said. The price keeps going up an when I call they give all this bull, my phone doesn't work half the time,I've called to tell them an they say it's working now, I say yes because I had to fix it! I have to unhook cables an wait for it to reboot. They don't want to Fix it or Charge me the Price I was locked into for 2years. If I cancel they say I'll have to pay 400. Dollars, This is a terrible company an I hope you can help me an want others about the way they do business!! I'm paying more than they said! I only changed companies because I was trying to save money on my phone an internet services. I'm paying just as much an have problems all the time!! I can't afford this service or I should say lack of services!!

      Hughesnet should be put out of business asap.
      They are thieves and they are about as helpful as a toothache when it comes to customer service!
      My internet stopped working and after calling them and spending hours with some woman I couldn't understand without asking her to repeat herself time and time again ?
      I jumped through all their silly hoops ! Like for instance unplug your system wait 3 minutes plug in again , wait no it's 10 minutes then plug in again , nope hit the reset button nope wait go to our menu and do a bunch of programming for us nope did you have a recent power outage ? Or lightning storm ?
      After hours of that kinda baloney I'm told they will need to send a tech out to fix box or the dish it's self ?
      Oh I'm forgetting I also had to climb a ladder for these morons to check their cable connections in the dark no less!
      So I said to service rep ok send out your tech she replied no problem sir that will be $150 .00 before we can schedule you ???
      I said I just did half his job already and I'm not paying a dime for you to send him out !
      And don't even say you can send him out for less money either ?
      5 seconds later she says great news sir we can absorb half the techs visit cost and you only pay$75.00 !!
      Imagine that?
      What changed in the course of 30 seconds?
      They magically cut 50% ?
      When I go to say rent a car for vacation and car dies on side of road from engine problem ?
      I don't call a mechanic to come fix it and pay him out of my own pocket !
      No I call rental company they bring me a new car and take the old one and they fix it !
      $50 , 000 cars they just swap em out ! No problem !
      But try getting hughesnet to swap a box that probably runs them around 10 - 15 bux maybe?
      Oh and I never had a rental car company ask me to climb under the hood and evaluate the problem for them either ?
      The outrageous prices they charge for Xtra data ( tokens)
      As they call em you'd think they might be able to spend some of that $ on a better tech service ?

      My address seems to be in a No-Communication spot. HughesNet said No Problem. Their installation man said Good Access. But nothing worked consistently. Navigating their automated phone system took forever, often causing my cell phone (one of my reasons for signing up) to drop the call, and it was a common event. One at-home tech might talk me through something that would work for a few day - then gone. Or the at-home tech would have to connect to someone else and relay to me. Finally I was told that this IS a satellite system and I knew that when I signed up - weather, smog, wind - apparently anything - can affect service. So I broke the contract and it cost me $600 to get rid of the aggravation.
      Not truthful, not easy to get through to, not willing to work with me.
