On December 8, 2023, I reserved a rental car via ********* from Priceless Car Rental. I prepaid for the rental car.On December 16, 2023, I received a call from ********* Car Rental to let me know that the last shuttle from the airport to the rental car location was at 8:30 pm and that they would be closing the office at 8:50 pm. My flight was scheduled to land at 8:30 pm but it was going to be delayed because of the weather. Priceless Car Rentals said I could cancel my reservation and get my refund via *********.On December 26, 2023, I contacted ********* to request a refund. They initiated a rental research on my case with reference number, *********, and a confirmation email that stated: We're here to help. This email acknowledges your refund request for your rental car reservation from 12/16/23 to 12/22/23 with trip number: ***********. We've reached out to Priceless Car Rental for more information and should hear back within 10 business days. Once we receive a response from Priceless Car Rental, we'll get in touch via email with the next steps. If your refund is approved, we'll issue it immediately. For real-time updates on the status of your request, visit our Refund Tracker. On January 2, 2024, I followed up with *********. They said they had forwarded my issue to our Customer Relations team for further research. On January 18, 2024, I followed up with ********* again. I have checked your reservation as per check; your case was already escalated, and we already sent an email to our partner; however, they have not received a response yet. Our records indicate that we are making attempts to resolve this issue. Priceless Car Rentals will not respond to ********* to confirm that the reservation was canceled, so ********* can issue a refund.Customer Answer

I rented through ********* (*************) with a prepaid reservation for a Mid-Sized Suv seating 7 or more from 12/22/23-12/29/23. I arrived at the airport in FLL at 10:30 am EST and started calling for a shuttle immediately with no answer and no shuttle. Finally after 2 hours I called for an **** to transport me and my family to the rental location. Upon arrival they told me I needed to pay additional fees such as Insurance, toll prepass and upgrade fees. I declined the insurance as my personal insurance has always covered the necessary amount and they told me it was $5.00 short for their policy so they forced me to pay and extra $210.00 for that and $104.93 for the toll prepass to which I told them I would not be on ANY toll roads they also charged me an upgrade fee for a larger vehicle telling me ********* lied about there being such a thing as a mid size suv holding 7 or more which isnt true at all personally owning one myself! I had no choice but to pay these fees as there were no other rentals available and no refund on prepaid through *********. When actually getting the vehicle it was not cleaned, seats were stained terribly, pieces were missing throughout the vehicle interior and the seat would not move for rear passengers to enter properly. the outside was very dented and scratched to which we took pictures of. upon returning the car we had a very early flight so we left the car with a neighboring rental agency that graciously gave our family a ride to the airport and returned the keys to ********* for us. after landing i received a message from my bank they had charged me an extra $1039.93 I called for 3 hours finally reaching someone to tell me there was a missing piece from the rack on top (we did not use) and that was the charge for the piece and repair. I asked for copies of the receipt as that is a large cost for something i did not utilize at all. they have not sent me anything nor will they *************. i am asking for a full refundInitial Complaint

I rented a car from Priceless Rentals through ****** for November 13-17, 2023 for $116.57 including taxes and fees. The websites noted on the Priceless confirmation did not list any additional fees. I understood that the agency was onsite at the ****** Airport. I discovered at the airport that I had to take a shuttle offsite. I waited twenty minutes then had a twenty minute transfer. The rental experience was a nightmare. I had to show more insurance proof than I have had to in the past. Thankfully, I was able to comply via a phone call. Priceless then added an additional $107.46 in fees! These included "mandatory" fees for ***Pass of $14.99/day (plus any charges if I used it!). I could NOT opt out, even though we were not going on any toll roads. They also charged $10/day for using my own insurance instead of theirs and a $4.77 "adjustment".I was "upgraded" to a larger car as there were no other cars available - no charge, but it had bald tires!! (See photo on the attachment to corporate.)Emotionally as well as time limitations prevented me from canceling the rental and returning to the airport to start fresh..I just discovered potential fraud. I checked my credit card statement to the amount paid per Priceless. The card charge was $4.29 more than my receipt showed!! Furthermore, there was an additional unauthorized charge mid rental for another $1.04??!! Such discrepancies over many rentals would be a LOT of money.Priceless owes me a MINIMUM of $107.46 in surplus charges AND unauthorized charges of $4.29 and $1.04.Initial Complaint

On 12/21/23, I was made aware that Nextcar and it's other associated companies under the same umbrella have predatory practices. On or about 12/16/23, I made a rental car reservation through *******'s company's called CarRentals.com. I purchased reasonable fared non-refundable reservation (approx. $101). I was required to pay upfront 80% and the remaining 20% at the counter. ******* didn't not make the rules and restrictions clear. There were a lot of people who were taken advantage of in this scheme. This company doesn't allow you to decline their insurance unless you are with specific companies: (We accept insurance from the following US companies ONLY) ***** ****, ******* ******, *****, ***********, ******, ****, ********, *******, *********, ****, ***, ******** and **********. My company ******** ****** ********* was not listed. Nextcar required me to take their insurance for an additional charge of $50/day. This fee is much higher than the market rate that other rental car companies. Based on practices Nextcare understands if overlook the small print then you are trapped. They have your money for the car rental because it was non-refundable, so if you cancel they will make more money by renting it to someone else. If you accept the terms and conditions then they know they will make additional funds on what the suspecting customer thought would be a low price rental. Ultimately I cancelled my reservation at the counter and went to another company. I didn't trust that Nextcar wouldn't add more fees. The gentlemen next to me made a reservation for 27 days. They total online was approximately $500. When he finished at the counter all the loopholes in Nextcar's rules and restrictions made his bill total over $2,000. They also give him a had time about using a debit card with a ********** logo instead of using a regular credit card. He made mention that he has traveled the world and this was the first time he experinced these types of practices.Initial Complaint

I rented a car from this company from December 26 to January 1. I was supposed to arrive at Miami airport around 5:00. My plane was delayed, so I called them and told them I wouldn't be in until 8:00.I got to the airport, and they said that I had missed my appointment, which was not refundable. They had a car there but were unwilling to give it to me or refund me because I was late. So now I am on vacation with no car, and I am out $315Initial Complaint

I rented a vehicle from the Orlando location on December 3. I was told on booking that the pickup location was onsite. I am missing my right leg below the knee and was in town to have legs made. After hobbling down both ends of MCO I was told that I needed to catch a shuttle to the location which I did, but it was not very accessible for me and difficult to maneuver. I got to the location and they are in no way ADA compliant with foot high curbs which were difficult to navigate with all of my luggage. Upon entering g the door kept shutting on me and knocking me down. No one offered to help. After getting to the front desk I was told that I was required to purchase their insurance. I had read the fine print that stated they would verify my personal insurance first and as long as it was verifiable with the correct deductible I did not have to buy next cars insurance. They never took my insurance documents, just told me everyone was required to buy the insurance. It cost me $280 over top of the pre paid amount I had already paid. I was aware I would have a deposit because I was paying with debit, which per the fine print was acceptable. I was then directed to a vehicle out in a parking lot far from the building. No one offered to help me with my luggage or accessing the vehicle which was difficult with my disability.I made the initial complaint on 12/12. I was told I would get resolution in 48 hours. I never heard anything. A week later on 12/18 I called to check on the complaint and was told it was re-sent on 12/17 and would get resolution in 48 hours. Today I called and was told the complaint was not received.Initial Complaint

December 8, 2023, I was required to pay $149.50 to NextCar rental for previously undisclosed insurance requirements. I paid ********* for the rental, and only when I arrived was I told my ********* insurance was not good enough that I needed 300,00 limits. We were only told that we needed our declarations page, with no mention of deductible level requirements or liability requirements. If I had met those parameters, the bar would have been raised. I believe it was and is their intention to bait people into a cheap rate and make it up with a mandatory predatory action by requiring their insurance. The guy ahead of me was forced to take the insurance due to a high deductible. I want my money back.Initial Complaint

First tried to make reservation on their app. After giving my cc info, a popup said the order did not go through. So I made the reservation online. When I noticed there were two charges, I called NextCar and was reassured the extra payment would be refunded. 2 weeks later. I pick up the rental and mention that the refund was not received. 2 weeks later I return the rental and mentioned the refund had not been received. I called again after returning home and was told the credit had been issued but the refund did not go through. The person I spoke with sent an email to the accounting office and cc'd to me, to make the refund. Nearly a month later I have sent several emails asking for an update on the refund without receiving a reply from them. I want my refund in full!
