1 star0 STARS Avoid NextCar at All Costs Completely Unprofessional and a SCAM I had an incredibly frustrating experience with NextCar that I wouldnt wish on anyone. First, the line to pick up the car took over 3 hours an absolutely unacceptable delay for any rental service. The staff was overwhelmed, disorganized, and unapologetic.Worse yet, its been over 6 weeks since my rental, and I still havent received my deposit back. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, Ive received no resolution and barely any response. This kind of behavior is dishonest and completely unprofessional.NextCar has proven to be unreliable, unresponsive, and unwilling to provide my refund. At this point I feel SCAMMED!!! Do yourself a favor and rent from a reputable company. I will never use them again and I strongly urge others to stay far away.Review fromDale V

1 starMy wife and I rented a car from next car rental in ******* from March 19th till April 2 we would never ever use this company again. First We had to wait almost 2 hours for the shuttle to take us to the car rental business and that was only the beginning of the nightmare. We had fully prepaid for the car rental and used our own insurance after a fight as they wanted to sell us their insurance then the had to have a $500. Deposit that was never told us up front. Then after asking before we booked it if the excepted debit cards and they said they did but only after we arrived they charged us another $20. A day for using the card and also made us buy a toll pass. By the time we got our rental car we had about $1100 dollars stolen from us. This company should be up on charges they are a complete scamReview fromCrystal H

1 starWe rented a vehicle from Nextcar thru a third party at the ***************************. The rental counter was a long walk from where we picked up our luggage. Upon arrival at the desk, there was only one clerk available. She was already working with another client at that time so we had to wait our turn which took a while. When I booked the reservation I had read the information regarding insurance and indicated then that our personal auto insurance would cover us. Nothing mentioned about having to bring proof of insurance. We were charged an additional amount to have their coverage during our contract period. I read later that the agent could co tact our insurance but never offered to do so. I also read that the credit card we used would have covered it as well, but she did not give us another option but to pay to be able to get the vehicle. We then found out we were getting a Hybrid vehicle. I had requested a standard vehicle, not electric and not hybrid and when I questioned that, I was told the rate be be higher for a standard car and that was not what they had available for us. We were already running late and just wanted to complete the transaction and be on our way. When we got to our car, its was filthy. The exterior had not been washed and the windshield inside and out was nasty. Very disappointed with this rental agency and will not use them again. They took advantage of us in my viewpoint and yes, I am a senior citizen. Never again!Review fromTigran G

1 starI booked a car rental through *************, which directed me to Priceless Car Rental at the address above. At the time of booking, there was no clear or visible disclosure that Priceless Car Rental would refuse to honor valid personal auto insurance policies and force customers to purchase their own costly, low-quality insurance. This critical policy was buried within multiple hidden links and fine print - not something that an average customer would reasonably expect or notice during booking.Upon arriving at their off-airport location (which itself was an inconvenience not clearly explained), I was informed that I would not be allowed to rent the car unless I purchased their insurance, regardless of the coverage I already carried. When I declined, they refused service, costing me over four hours of delay and stress, and forcing me into a cancellation process through Priceline. While waiting, I witnessed multiple other customers being blindsided in the same way - frustrated, angry, and expressing that they felt deceived.Employees were appearing entirely used to handling frequent customer outrage over these hidden policies.Additionally, the rental vehicles themselves appeared to be substandard.Evidence of Systemic Issues:- ****** Reviews: ***** reviews with an estimated 99% negative 1-star reviews, most describing deceptive insurance practices identical to my experience. - Yelp Reviews: Out of 184 reviews, 181 are negative 1-star reviews, citing the same misconduct. Desired Outcome:- A formal apology for the deceptive business practices.- An investigation into the company's advertising and disclosure practices.- Corrective action requiring Priceless Car Rental to make their mandatory insurance policies clearly visible before customers complete a booking.- Public warning so other consumers are not subjected to the same unfair treatment.Review fromDustin L

1 starNever, ever, ever use this rental service. My drop off time was incorrect on my form and I discovered that a day into my trip. I called and emailed the address indicated on the website to fix the issue every day of vacation. Never heard anything back. There were also so many hidden fees and they were so slow I almost missed my flight even though I arrived two hours ahead of time.Review fromJonathan N

1 starRental car was prepaid thru Priceline. When car was being picked up, after not finding the company at *************, was considered No Show and charged addition $330. Car was dirty; tried window washer, it didnt work on drivers side. Tried horn, it didnt work. After much ado was offered another car. Tire pressure icon was blinking. Tires looked ok until last day when it went flat. No spare, tools, or manual. Had not paid their $50 per day insurance therefore could get no assistance to the point calls would disconnect. Am 79 years old. Was charged $2000 deposit which should be returned in 4 to 12 days. Fearful of possible further charges!Review fromANDREW S

1 starRipped off by Nextcar. They did not have a rental car for me as reserved/paid for when I arrived at the airport. They said MAYBE they would have one in 4 hrs. Or, they said I could cancel and "request" a refund. They were happy to cancel the reservation and then said I had to request a refund from *******. Expedia could not contact Nextcar for quite some time and then said Nextcar manager refused to grant the refund in spite of not having a car for me as promised. Total scam!Review fromAbby B

1 starThis company seems to have several names. I booked with Priceless Car Rentals through Economy Bookings. I paid in full upfront. When i got to the car rental place, they informed me there would be a $30 per day fee added to what i already paid because i picked up the car late. That didn't make sense to me because i'd already paid for the car. so, why does it matter when i pick it up? They then put a $1000 deposit on my credit card. at the same time, that i was haggling with them, another couple said they were being charge an extra $30 a day for insurance purposes. I probably should have just left and lost the money i paid upfront but i was traveling with kids and they were tired. we all were. when i returned the vehicle today- they 'inspected' the car and said there was $1500 worth of damage done to the car. Absolutely not true. I filed a complaint with the florida attorney general and my home state attorney general. I am working with the credit card company to dispute the charges. I am 49 years old. I have never had an experience with any vendor or merchant like this. Horrible
