      My grandma passed in July and I was unable to work my full time job because I had to take care of her. I just returned in august. I received a call yesterday saying I had to make a payment or they would garnish my paycheck. I explained to them I couldn't make my payment until the end of the month. They had a nasty attitude. I have rent and other bills I needed to pay. Im furious of how they treated me.

      I have tried to use this business twice for a loan thank God I wasn't in desperate need of one or I would've been screwed if the first time applying for a loan they ran my credit I tried to contact them and to no avail were there answering any phone calls the only one and only time that I did speak to somebody they said they were very busy and didn't have enough staff he then took all my information down again ran my credit a second time with nothing in return I tried it one more time just recently because it said that I was an outstanding approval rate I signed up for it they ran my credit I signed a loan they sent me an email saying congratulations you were approved for $3000 your money should be in available tomorrow just to get the runaround again I've sent them all my documentations 2 to 3 different times I finally had a branch manager call me and talk to me a couple different times and tells me that I am approved and we should have it all finalize the money should be in my bank by the end of the day she was going to call me I have yet to heard anything and this was last Thursday they say I'm approved and the money was guaranteed but then nothing I've had no communication with them I really really didn't want to have to leave a review but this is the worst loan company that I've ever gone to nobody has communication here for some reason it always gets stuck in the middle of never worry I am completely disappointed in mariner finance I would strongly suggest not going through them so my credit was ran three different times by mariner finance and I still have yet to get a decision although I thought I had a decision and it was approved I was approved online and then the branch manager told me that I was approved so is the money in thin air somewhere I have no idea.

      Cannot believe that Clear Water Systems used this Company
      No statements claiming that they are paperless
      So email
      That's a big no!
      I made a large 1st payment and never heard a word for a couple of months
      It turns out that instead of applying the overpayment to the principal they used it to cover monthly minimum payments
      I called them out on this and they told me it's how they do business
      As far a paperless goes I just received a mailed notice that I'm late

      This is one of the worst managed Predatory lenders out there. There lack of tech Savvy has once again locked me out of my acocunt so that I can get a full payoff amount and finally close this account. the branch owners are generally incompetent and too inexperienced to fix a simple problem of online security. I have spent several hours thring to assist them with their online security related problems. I am very tech savvy and have a strong background in Bank secuirty and financial security. I worked for the 4th largest international Bank HSBC to set up a totally integrated online interface system on six continents around the world. This company like the new form of what was HSBC Bank here in the U.S. we all know presently as Capitalone Bank. has faltered in in amateur attempts at providing sufficient online banking Security so that I can access my account get an accurate payoff balance and close this Line of Credit at almost 28% APR. I would stay along way away from these guys if you encounter them. If I were to calculate the amount of time spent in trying to assist this company to restore and maintain my personal online banking security, I would estimate I've spent more than 12 hours of personal time tyring to help them fix their amateur and incompetent online Security systems. In 2006 if I were woking as I did to help HSBC set up an international integrated system of efficient and effective online banking security,, I would have been compensated in 2006 dollars Gross close to 320 U.S. to keep and maintain a sufficent tech savvyt online security platfom to keep our acount informaiotn securie and protected. In today's dollars, that is close to 500 U.S if you acount fo the inflation rates of today and compare it to those inflation rates of 2006. Stay along ways from this incompent company. and find someone like Reliable Credit to help you with your Sub Prime credit needs. I wouldn't have even given this finance company a 1 but out of 5 rating. but a ZERO.

      Horrible customer service experience. Received flyer in the mail because I was a great customer that paid the contract as agreed no lates always on time for about 4,000. Called to obtain new hassle free loan and spoke to "Nikki" worthless branch manager. She failed the call by dodging me to the online service, not thanking me for return business and not offering return call. I won't be back because of her lack of professionalism. HORRIBLE ! I would think you want good paying customers in predatory lending but I guess you would rather not reward great payments. Do not use this branch in Lynchburg Virginia.

      When I took out the loan I said I need a 3rd of the month due date. The set it for the 14th/ No way can I meet this due date. They said they couldn't do it due to policy so each month I will be charged late fees. I am really angry all my other business set due dates on the 3rd./ Also I can't get a receipt

      I received horrible service from Spartanburg Branch Manager, Patti. I was behind on payments due to being out of work/sick. I called to make a payment for $100 (which wasn't my minimum payment but was sure to inform them I would call to bring my account current on 9/1/2022. I was transferred to her and she picked up the phone and stated, "We don't have time to deal with delinquent accounts, We'll see you in court" and hung up in my face. I wasn't rude, yelling or anything. Hopefully conversations are recorded so that conversation can be heard. I then called customer relations and was told she documented that she informed me that she couldn't accept my payment unless I schedule another payment by 8/31/2022. That's false documentation because not once did she say that to me but documented she did. I was able to make a payment and called to inform her that I was aware of the false documentation she immediately stated, "I'm ending the call ma'am because I don't want to be yelled at by you." That's hilarious because not once did I yell at her during our first encounter. I'm a healthcare worker and documentation is important, but false documentation is illegal. She needs additional training on how to treat customers and documenting the truth.

      The best company I've ever worked with! The ladies in the office were very patient, kind and worked hard to give me the finances I needed in a hardship. I'd highly recommend this business to my family & friends. They've earned a lifelong customer.

      They were nice...at first. I lost my job and I explained to them I would have trouble making the payments. On june 10th via phone they offered me a deferment for June. I said ok and paid the $100 they required me to pay. They said I had 1 more deferment left and they would call me in July to see how I was doing. I said I should be fine. They said we will call anyway. His name I believe was Joe. He called me on July 14th to be exact, I have till the 20th with the grace period and asked me how it was going. I said it's been rough and the vehicle I took out a loan for was broke down and he said I could do another deferment. He said seeing that rhe car wasn't running he could do it electronically and did a recorded permission, told me I was good I didn't have to pay anything for July. Aug 1st I get a call from a woman in the west seneca office asking why I didn't make my July payment. I literally asked her if they don't read the notes or communicate and that the guy Joe gave me my last deferment. She said I will have to call you back. He called me back 2 min later and told me I shouldn't talk to her like that??? I said like what??? And started yelling at me telling me there was no such deferment. OK then what did we talk about for almost 6 min on July 14th??? He said he was coming to get my car. I said good, it's broke anyway. I have called multiple times and asked to speak to the zone manager. Not one person has called me back. Today my August payment was due. I could not make a single payment. Had to be a double payment. $600 These people are terrible saying one thing and then doing another and then calling me to scream at me. Never again. And then to not have the district manager call me back??? That's even more ridiculous. I would bet by now the office lunatic that was screaming at me forgot our July 14th conversation. I have full intentions on talking to an attormey seeing that the conversation was recorded and I had to give consent. Get it together Mariner.

      Mariner finance is thieves and they need to be shut down tried to get a loan on top of the loan already have and went from 4,400 to $9,000 thieves thieves thieves nothing but thieves they need to be shut down for good
