If I could give zero stars I would. They have been garnishing me over a debt I KNOW I owe. I asked for them to lower the amount (went to court today) and they will not budge even though the amount they are taking is drowning me. I will never refer anyone there. I have a family member who works debt collection for an attorney and she said they have never had a company refuse to work with a customer when the amount taken is causing said customer to struggle. Well this company will not work with you in any capacity. I know I owe the debt, I just needed a little lower payment so I can still make ends meet.Mariner Finance, LLC

Wow I'm glad I read the reviews first. I'm holding at a check for 2,539.00 that was voluntarily sent to me from this company. I was contemplating holding it for the 30 days before the expiration date in case of an emergency. After reading all the negative reviews and seeing they are not BBB accredited i'm now shredding said check. Thank God for reviewers.Mariner Finance, LLC

Horrible experience satisfied about three loans. Requested a new loan and due to financial hardship I had stopped paying and at that time I owed about 1500 I ended up being fortunate enough to throw 1000 tried to get ahold of the business to try and settle before making the payment and was unsuccessful so I went and made that payment and they said I owe about 1000 in fees and did not assist with settlement that would take care of the additional fees this company very greedy and I feel like Ive been taken advantage of and discriminated against and they really stick it the poor and less fortunate and that’s how they make their money. In my experience in life in general businesses like this do not last very long. There are laws that do protect the customers either elderly or poor or disabled. It’s a matter of time that this business will go under!!!!! Thanks to your greed and ignorance.Mariner Finance, LLC

Thank you for your feedback, ********. Based on our review, Mariner had sent multiple settlement offers in the past to the same email used for your review. Those emails contained the offered amount, instructions on how to accept, and the contact information for our Recovery Department whom would process that offer’s payment. We also found that you have recently been in contact with our Recovery Department and were provided an updated settlement offer. If you have any further questions regarding your account you may contact Customer Relations at ###-###-####. If you would like to make a payment, you may contact Mariner’s Recovery Department at ###-###-####.Review fromWilliam F

When this loan was approved by Long Bath for a family bathroom remodeling, I did not realize that one of the so-called Banks were Predatory Lenders Mariner Finance. I was so vulnerable on this approval/project that I did not go in it for the price they charged for he work done, but I had just bought my house which was a fixer upper. So, I was desperate to get the work done, but not giving them my Life to fix my home.
I had noticed that I have been paying on this $10,000.00 loan for a whole year and paying $150.00 a month, the bill was not going down, so I took the time (which I really should have been slow to accept it from any bank that has the name "Finance" in it - DON'T DO IT!!! What I have come to learn is that Finance companies aren't really a bank they are in fact "predatory" lender's something like loan sharks, where the interest they charge is more than the product is worth, also they take out their money for years before the majority of your payments goes toward your principle and as soon as you realize what they are doing - you are trapped in a vicious web of lending. Where they will ruin your Credit for not paying their un-reasonable fees first!!!
I regret this purchase they are locking me into for 10 years! And, their interest they collect will total over $7,000 for a 10,000 loan!!!!! PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY - YOU WILL BE TRAPPED LIKE ME. I PRAY TO GOD TO FIND A MORE REASONABLE RESOLUTION TO THIS DEBT W/THESE PREDATORY LENDERS/LOAN SHARKS!!!!Mariner Finance, LLC

Thank you Ms. ***** for your feedback. It appears your primary concern is that you expected a larger portion of your payments to be applied to the principal balance on your loan. We would like to point out that the terms of the loan were clearly and prominently disclosed in the Home Improvement Contract provided to you, which
you acknowledged prior to Mariner purchasing the loan. If you have specific questions regarding how interest is assed on an interest bearing loan, you may contact Mariner's Customer Relations Department at ###-###-####. If you are experiencing a hardship preventing you from making your payment, we encourage you to communicate with your servicing branch for assistance.Review fromHodari T.

This is a hardship loan I took out when my house burned down in 2020. I defaulted on the loan and the loan was charged off in 2023. For the last year, after the charge off, the vendor has submitted a late payment to the credit bureaus in a punitive attempt to punish me after the debt was written off. My credit can never recover because they submit a new 30 days late at the start of every month.Mariner Finance, LLC

I had a situation come up with Mariner finance and still haven't received a response. I had collateral put up for a loan that i opened 3 years ago. Last month the car i had used for collateral needed to to be inspected but it wouldn't start so after towing it to the repair shop come to find out that the computer system in the car was fried. Its a 18 year old car so we decide not to fix it because it could get pricey. I have spoke with Mariner Finance multiple times on how to get the car (collateral) removed from my account so that i can junk the car, but they will not tell me anything. They keep saying we will call you back but nothing. The repair shop will only hold the car for so long. I live in an apartment so I can't store the broken down car here. I have no idea where to go from here.Mariner Finance, LLC
