DO not do business with mariner finance. They will only lie to you to get you to sign for a loan.Mariner Finance, LLC
Date: 04/19/2024
Thank you, Randy! We greatly appreciate your feedback. Mariner attempts to qualify each applicant for the most favorable loan terms available. The executed contract clearly and prominently outlines the loan terms, such as finance charges, interest rate, late fee assessment, and amount of payments, for which you acknowledged and signed, confirming acceptance of the loan agreement. If you have any further questions or concerns, please reach out to our Customer Relations Department at (844) 338-2080, so we can further assist you.Review fromHeather A

Mariner Finance is the absolute worst company to do business with! If you are late with one or two payments during the loan period, they waste no time turning your account over to their attorneys office - who in turn turns it over to the court for garnishment of wages. My loan is almost paid off, I am up to date on payments, but they refuse to call off the court proceedings. I suppose they are out for blood after getting caught for shady busines dealings where the court denied their motion to dismiss the case! Mariner Finance employees are not the sharpest tools in the shed. Avoid Mariner Finance at all costs!Mariner Finance, LLC

We are grateful for your feedback, *****. We strive to provide an exceptional customer experience and are disappointed to hear that we failed to meet your expectations. After locating and reviewing your account, we would like to advise that we are very limited on what we can assist with once an account has been sent to a third party attorney for collection. They sent me a check in the mail because of my good credit and I've been paying on time without being late. They told me that my payment is due on the 3rd of each month and that the customers have a 7-day grace period, which means if I I want to take advantage of the 7-day grace period and pay on the 10th, without a late fee. Most of my payment goes towards the interest, so they are protected. I cashed the check on 11/3/23 and have made 4 payments so far, two on the 3rd and two on the 10th. At first the relationship was great with the Chandler office, and they were all very nice, but now, if I take advantage of the 7-day grace period, they are calling & sending me letters as if they R paranoid & desperate for money. I am starting to think that there are a lot of customers that ARE defaulting on other loans, but I'm not. I called them today & told them all off in the Chandler office because I don't want to be hounded if I'm taking advantage of the 7-grace period which I was told was alright to use by both Esmeralda and Anthony. So, now I'm getting conflicting information from this Kyle guy who told me that there is no grace period and when I blew up at all of them in the Chandler office and told them that they are acting like desperate idiots and I don't deserve to be put in with all their other defaulting customers. Kyle kept telling me things I didn't want to know because I already know the terms of the agreement, and when I told him that I wasn't interested in anything that he had to say, he told me he was going to hang up because I was threatening his life. I then called the Tempe Police Department and told the police dispatch what this scenario was and they dispatch person told me that this was not a police matter and to contact the BBB. I will never do business with Mariner again. I don't need this kind of crap @ 69 years old when I'm not doing anything wrong. I will be complaining the Sr. VPs if they call me back. They destroyed this relationship.Mariner Finance, LLC

"I have borrowed from Manier Financial for several years and paid off all my personal loans with them except one. I fell into financial hardship when my dad suffered a massive heart attack in July of 2018. The loan was in a slow pay status with my local court system. I would send on average three payments or more monthly to Manier Financial's third party collection agency. I did this so my debt would be paid up for the following months in advance, indicating on each check that this is a future payment for the next month. I continued this process of multiple payments monthly for three years. Then in December 2023, I sent Manier Financial's third party collection agency three payments. One check was for December, the second check was for January, and the third check was for February. All three checks were cashed in December and posted to my Manier Financial account as three separate entries. Then I was informed this month by Manier Financial's third party collection agency that they are trying to garnish my wages due to non-payment. I replied to the young woman on the phone, "Yes, I did provide payment for January and February." Then, she admitted that the collection agency did have and cashed the payments for January and February, but because they were received in December, they are still trying to garnish my wages. Manier Financial's third party collection agency's actions are unprofessional, ridiculous, and represent a misappropriation of funds.
Consumers, please beware of Manier Financial's unprofessional conduct with how personal accounts are handled regarding payments. This is not the first but the third incident with this company. I had to get the regional manager involved before; the first two instances were corrected by the local branch.Mariner Finance, LLC

We greatly appreciate you taking time to write this review, ***. After review, your account is being serviced by a third party attorney at this time. Any problems or issues regarding the payments you are making to said third-party need to be directed to that third party agency. If you have any further questions about your account, please reach out to your local Mariner branch office.Review fromRicardo P

Thank you for your feedback, *******. The terms of the loan are displayed in a transparent manner to which the customer must sign acknowledging their acceptance. Furthermore, interest rates are regulated by the state of North Carolina.Review fromShaun J
