I contacted Paulys Movers, spoke with ****, contracted them to move my son. They sent over a copy of contract took a $100 deposit..2 Sammys before move they sent a 2 page document to be signed, they day of move they attached 14 pages to that document which I had never seen..they sent out 3 unprofessional and untrained movers ..they could not figure out how to move the couches..according to the movers they had been on the job for 2 days with no training or supervision. When they reached the unload location one mover walked off the job and one was visibly impaired. At this point they were in breach off contract which had increased in price 3 times over. I had to inform them of the employee walking off the job which made the job longer and my son did most of the unloading which is another violation of their policy. They are rude to deal with, not returning calls or emails.

I was quoted $912 for junk removal and they would not charge me if they went over 3hr. Junk removal items- 2 bedroom apartment and loose items. Was asked if boxes were needed at a cost and i said we would bag items. I had 30 bags that were not heavy because I wanted them easy to be picked up and carried for a quicker move. They brought a small truck and they were told to load the furniture 1st then bags. They did bags and no room for furniture . All they carried away were bags and that took less than 1.5 hrs. It cost $912. They wanted to charge me $568 the next day to removed the furniture I cancel because it would have been at least 4 hr to load. I cant believe they scammed a senior citizen .

Date 2/18/2025 Moving a two bedroom apartment into a storage unit for my girlfriend's (****** ****** ******) pending move to *************** quoted us $600 for the move Movers arrived 2 hours late after everything was loaded we went to the storage unit. Movers refused to unload the household goods and held everything hostage until we paid roughly $1600 (1000) more than the quote. THe lead mover said it was because "we keep getting the police called on us".Immediately after paying the movers proceeded to trash several large pieces of furniture, including a brand new dining room table that they literally just pushed off of the truck (which cost more than the entire service). we immediately contacted the business and at this point have received not so much as an acknowledgement.

I scheduled a move with a company called Pauly's movers for a move on 09/13/2024. They agreed to a price of $522.77, which was after I paid a $100 deposit. Altogether it was suppose to cost $622.77. Come move day after they brought my items to my new apt they held my items hostage and told me that they wanted me to pay $1,300 more, bringing to total cost for their services to $1,400 total for the move or they wouldn't unload. The time it took was under the agree timeframe. Nothing new was added. They have also pulled this tactic on other people in the area as well. I tried to dispute with my bank **************** but the dispute was ultimately denied by ***** I am looking to get the difference of what I was overpaid returned to me. I attach a file showing that I overpaid by $777.28, which includes the original $100 deposit. I called this company at the begining of September to obtain a quote for my move on 9/20/24. When obtaining the quote I asked about a TV box to protect our 82 inch and our 55 inch TVs. ******* said typical the box cost is $40 each but they would give me a discount of $30 each. My quote by phone was approximately $680 if it took 3 hours or less and $880 if we went over time (this cost was for an extra hour). This estmate was to include the TV box fees as I expressed how important it was to protect the big screen tv's. I called on 9/12/24 to confirm the move with a $100 deposit and I confirmed the TV boxes at that time as well to ensure they were added to the invoice. I reviewed the charge for the TV boxes and paid the deposit on 9/13/24. The day of the move 9/20/24 they showed up with three men total. My fianc and I had already shrink wrappped and secured 90% of the furniture. As they started I verified again that they had the TV boxes we reuested. The *** said yes and they started unloading the dolly and movinging suppies included in the move. It took well over the 3 hours alotted so once we got to the new home we were told the price was now $1719.46. Once they arrived at the new home to unload I noticed the TVs were only wrapped in blankets and secured with cardboard but no TV box was used. I was way too tired to look for the plug that day so the following day I plugged my 82 inch in and it was damaged. The 55 inch was fine but the 82 inch had what looked like fingerprints embedded down the side of the screen then lines running across the picture. We called to report the damaged TV and we were told a claim was filed for us to be reimbursed and we should receive a call from the insurance company. After over a month a reimbursement of $50 was offered to settle on 11/5/24. Our 82 inch was $1400 and even with deprecation it was approximately $900 to replace today. I did everything I was supposed to do to ensure our TV would be protected and $50 is an insult.

I scheduled movers from Pauly's Movers to move the furniture from my apartment to my house on Monday, October 21st. Their nonbinding estimate was $622 for the move, which I agreed to. I paid the $100 deposit to get the move scheduled. The men picked up all my furniture at the arranged time and drove to the new house. Once we arrived at the house, the men refused to move any furniture until they received a phone call from their boss. Their boss called me and said I had to pay him $2100 before he would allow the movers to remove anything from the truck. Ostensibly extorting me for 4x more than I was supposed to pay while holding all of my belongings hostage. Per the ****************************, ***************************************, even with a non-binding contract with movers, they are not legally allowed to charge you more than 125% of your estimate (that would be $777.50 in my case) but they charged me 350% of my estimate. They are also not legally allowed to withhold delivery of my goods if I pay a max of 110% of my non-binding estimate ($684 in my case). They had me sign a bunch of contracts while they were withholding my furniture which should be null and void as I was being forced to sign under the duress of them extorting me for money. **********************************************************************************

The company originally quoted a price of approximately $700 and three moving individuals to which I agreed to. Upon arrival of the truck to the loading location, only two movers were present. During loading, the movers did not attempt to wrap/pad any items. My 36 week pregnant wife and I decided to use their roll of wrapping plastic to cover expensive furniture, which they observed and began asking for tips. After arrival at the unloading location, they refused to unload the truck until I signed a bill for $2500 which included charges for wrapping materials, movement of a 375 pound upright piano (I have a 50 pound electric piano that they didn’t take in the truck), travel time of one hour (the unloading location is 3.8 miles and 13 minutes from the loading location) as well as fuel charges of $375. During unloading, the movers were observed and videotaped throwing unwrapped items out of the rear of the truck. My wife and I confronted them with the visible damage to multiple items to which they replied “you wanted a quick move so we gave you one”. Upon finishing, they stood in our doorway demanding tips which caused my wife to consider calling 911. I sent multiple messages to the office manager who did not reply. Multiple items were also stolen, however I will be filing police reports separate from this request.

we used pauleys moving services. They were 2 hours late and we had to call them to find out (ok not so bad ). They arrived and we were estimated $650 for first two hours, then additional hours extra …fine no problem. They had only 2 men on the job . IT TOOK 10 hours to load our house up. Almost 11 hours later they should up with NOT ALL OUR BELONGINGS. Our new house was 4 min down the street. Again they didn’t load our dining room, refrigerator, deck furniture, mirrors, etc

We understand that obviously it’s not going to be the original estimate….but they NEVER FINISHED DELIVERING OUR BELONGINGS AND SAID WED HAVE TO PAY RXTRA THE FOLLOWING DAY IF WANTED THE REST OF OUR STUFF.

It’s just wrong. This isn’t ok. This is taking advantage of people. They said if we didn’t pay double the price they would take our belonging (with two young children we have) to a storage facility and we’d have to pay for that.

We were devastated that we trusted them and they lied. Bottom line is we don’t care how much even though they lied

You can’t charge someone MORE $$$ to finish the job we agreed to.

This is literally robbing people .

Please someone help - if not us ….someone else.
