I cancel it and the Onstar they disappeared my navigation they say this is a part of your ****** account or I have to pay them $30 a month for the navigation. This technology been in the market for 15 years and now GM they want to charge me for the navigation I check with other companies like ***************** and *************************** They all get the free navigation to their customers but GM they want to charge me for it I will never buy GM cars anymoreReview fromMichael M

1 star"transmission range control module" failed on my 2017 Cadillac XT5 with 42k miles on it. When I called them out rightfully so that the module had a defect in it from the factory, because there is no reason for it to be failing at 42k miles. ***** was no user modifications done to the transmission, no physical damage, no water damage, and no corrosion. So I told them the only possible way for the module to need replacement is if it had a defect from the factory.I work in IT, and I KNOW a module like that doesn't just fail software wise (which is what they told me) The only possible way for it to fail is if it was damaged or if I tried to modify it. So the issue had to have come built in FROM THE FACTORY.And after some research I found that transmission issues are common with the XT5, and they are refusing to issue recalls, or compensate customers for poorly made vehicles.Initially I brought the vehicle in had they said the module just needs reprogramming, and I told them after the repair was completed that I was not going to pay for it since it had to be a factory defect. The manager of the location comped repair entirely and I did not pay a cent initially to fix the transmission. A week or so later I get transmission service messages again, and that is when they tell me I needed to pay to replace it since the powertrain only has a 5 year 75k miles slap in the face warranty.Any vehicle should be guaranteed to work with regular maintenance for ATLEAST 10 years, without major repairs. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a sucker. After going back and forth with ****** Cadillac of ****** who did the work (which is a authorized dealer of GM), they eventually lowered the bill to ~$230 from ~2k I have filed this complaint, and an FTC complaint against GM for this.Review fromKyle T

1 starMy 2019 Camaro is currently in a service department with engine damage. My powertrain warranty is still active, and yet I'm being told that I'm on the hook for covering damage to the engine, despite the fact that I've seen more than one individual receive warranty coverage for the same problem. One such case has extensive video coverage documenting has engine being repaired, and yet the warranty department is still denying my claim. Unacceptable. I've filed a complaint with the California State Attorney General as well.Review fromKelly S

1 starDetroit ********************* Local Guide84 reviews I purchased one of your defective ***** Equinox's, 2014, from a Missouri dealership. Six months into the purchase the fuel pump failed, now looking at the ** complaints, my research shows that's expected. $1800. Now, 6 months later, unknown to me my oil was consumed, driving around for who knows how long with none. No indicator light came on, ever! Wasn't due for an oil change for another 400 miles. *** week ago my vehicle quit running, no oil, no start. Engine pistons. Wow! So you're refusing to recall and take accountability for the vehicles you put out there that are defective and continued to make defective vehicles through 2017 on the Equinox. I had to find all this out myself about the lawsuits and the recalls. I found out you're refusing to fix the 2014 to 2017. You did send me the recall on the windshield wipers. What a joke! It's all about the money, not your reputation.I and you know that my engine could have caught fire, as with all the other people driving your defective vehicle. So then it's money over safety. I will tell as many people as I know about your bad business practices and selling, not recalling, defective vehicles still, after settling a lawsuit, where you the manufacturer did such a horrible job that put people in danger from 2010 to 2017.Review fromRoxana R

1 starI purchase a 2022 ***** Tahoe Z74 The car had electrical problems and it kept on shutting off randomly. Spoke to GM headquarters, and no solutions was provided. I ended up selling the car and paying $10,000 dollars out of pockets, the *** only had ****** miles. **** away from any GM/chevy vehicles. Its sad how they dont care about the consumer, I was putting my family in danger, the car shut off on US ********************************************* the vehicle. Several attempts were made and GM just turn their back on me. It takes a few thousands of people to die in car crash due to their malfunction in order for them to fix the problem.Review fromValerie E

1 starI purchased a 2023 Tahoe Premiere brand new. My vehicle has been in the shop on and off for the last month and a half for the same issue. 3 times I have had to take it or have it TOWED (at my own expense despite being in warranty AND purchasing the extended warranty) to my local dealership where they keep it for a week and give it back to me stating the issue is fixed. The fact that it has been there 3 times for the same issue says otherwise. So I follow GMs guidelines and I file a complaint to document the issues with my vehicle. Your GM customer care person is there to placate you and they do not offer any actual solutions.GM does not care about the quality of vehicles they are selling which really shows out on their Tahoes. There are known issues among the 22, 23, and 24 Tahoe and Silverado and they are still selling them despite there being no real fix for the known issues.GM does not care that a customer put their faith in their company and product to the tune of $80,000+ and are left with no vehicle to drive while their service technicians try to figure it out.We are going on week 4 of my vehicle being at a Chevrolet dealership (week 2 for this visit) waiting for a part that GM says will take 3-5 days to deliver, but the part doesnt arrive on day 5. GM does not care that I am losing money every single day they have my vehicle because Im unable to get to and from work. **** yourself time, money, and grief and buy ANY other vehicle than your me that comes from GM.Review fromKate K

1 starRecall the 2019 terrain for YOUR ERROR. Vacuum pump blew resulting in ruined engine! purchased a 2019 terrain less than two years ago. Recently the vacuum pump randomly blew after keeping up on all my maintenance, while on a busy highway almost killing my child and I. Not only that, it sent debris into my engine destroying it beyond any repair. I had to pay over 7,000$ out of pocket for this repair ontop of a huge loan, of course my warranty ended 2 months prior to this happening. Ive seen THOUSANDS of complaints about this issue, yet GMC is avoiding a recall at all costs. They recalled the equinox which has the exact same make, issue and exact part failure as the terrain, yet are putting off recalling the terrain regardless of this huge safety issue to its customers. GMC dealership workers even told me themselves they get this issue all the time yet nothing has been done . I will not give up nor stop until I am repaid every dime for this careless error made by GMC that is completely out of customers hands or control. I kept up on every oil change and maintenance. They dont even use a sheer pin. This company has proven their ignorance and pure negligence by not releasing a recall by now. What will it take, someone being hurt or killed by their huge failure error?Review fromKevin J

1 starI'd leave 0 stars if I could. Now getting my 4th engine in my 2021 trail boss. I've asked multiple times to get buyback or a deal towards a new truck. Last 2 times was told to deal with it. This time said I might get 3500. Months of not having the truck I paid for an the stress of not knowing when it will leave me stranded again. And they don't remotely care. Will never own another GM. I haven't even mentioned the leaking moon roof the **** thing never stays in alignment. Stay Away they don't care about customers.Review fromTina M

1 starHad oil change, tire rotation, they claimed I needed alignment which all 3 were done, as of today alignment is still off and pulling to left as it was before. They stated I needed brakes rotors which were done by another shop cheaper. They stated it was $400 just to diagnosed my AC just to touch it, to put a $40 can of Freon in it. It didnt hold after 3 days, same shop that did my brakes put it on. I have found it to be a common problem with the condenser per Auto Forums, people have fought with GM customer service and had it covered under warranty when they were outside of their warranty. AC should not be going on a vehicle with 60K miles on it. My vehicle is certified and I have kept up with maintenance requirements. Needless to say I am not happy nor will buy another GM. 1 starZERO STARS.DO NOT PURCHASE THE 2024 CHEVROLET TRAX. I purchased this car and with 8 miles on the odometer, it is in the shop. The engine light illuminated and i took it to the dealer. CHEVROLET has already identified a problem and im being told i need an oil pump. The part will take over a week to arrive. The dealer ship servicing the car (***** chevrolet in *****) told me they dont have a loaner or rental available. UNACCEPTABLE. I am out of money and without a car. BUYER BEWARE DO NOT PURCHASE THE 2024 TRAX.
