1 star9 engine light repair visits. $30k+ in repairs - covered by warranty, thankfully. I bought a new 2021 Silverado **** Duramax in 2021 and the problems continue. For $52k youd think youd get a reliable vehicle. I wont go into every repair but its involved the DEF/emissions system. After the 3rd or 4th visit when they had to take apart the entire front end of the truck to replace the wire harness, I asked my service guy, *******, if theres a vehicle replacement program or something in my warranty to get another vehicle. I asked two separate visits. He said talk to the dealerships sales team to do a trade in after the most recent check engine light last week he stated I was already eligible for the ** buyback program after the 3rd visit. Real shady if you ask me. Chevrolet of ******** slogan, Youre trusted dealership in Western ********** obviously doesnt translate to their service department. I called ** 6/19 to to start the buy back process and didnt receive a call back until 3 days later 6/22. I had picked up the truck repaired 6/21. ** stated I was eligible for the program but to be approved the truck needs to be in the shop being repaired during the process. Luckily, the turnaround for repairs at the dealership is speedy but how the ** process works is going to put me in an endless cycle. My truck now sounds likes its always towing something even when its not, loud chunky diesel sound, it has been fairly quiet for the entirety of ownership. Also, one of my very first concerns still exists. The DEF level sensor always says its full or nearly full but when Im actually close to out of DEF I get a warning pop up on the screen with a count down of miles left for the fluid. Long story short. Ive gone full circle and my truck is not fixed. I feel lied to about a vehicle replacement and the system in place to get this corrected is not in favor of the customer.Review fromDarius D

1 starWet disappointed with a 2021 gmc sierra ********* I purchased brand new . Its been in the dealer for repairs so many times in only 2 years and so many issues that I cant even remember . But my last feedback was the one that filled the glass when a General Motors advisor names ***** who kinda tries to assist me offered me ******* points for my last bad experience and never applied them . Its been over a month and no points applied . So I believe its a general thing at General Motors to disappoint the customers . One start for ***** , cause its the lowest I could rate .Review fromDarlene F

1 starI have a 2015 ***** Equinox and a 2016 ***** Equinox. I have 1 year left to pay on the 2015 and 4 on the 2016. I have owned the 2015 for 4 years and the 2016 for 3. I still owe the finance company for both vehicles. 1 year ago my 2015 threw the timing chain and blew the engine.....I thought that sure is a bummer because the car is in great condition and only has ****** miles on it. Then last week my other ***** started making terrible noises and the check engine light came on so I took it to the mechanic. There was very little oil in the cvar and I just had an oil change 3 days prior....Guess what my 2016 has been munching the timing sprocket and all of the debris is in my engine and oil pan....mechanic is currently looking to see if the engine is still in working order before he charges me **** to replace the timing chain. I then of course went to the internet to find that the 2 years of ***** Equinox that I own are the worse two years to own because of the problem I have mentioned. How is it fair that ***** can know of this issue but not do anything about it? Do you know what I did receive from *****? A recall on the windshield wiper motor because this is dangerous and can be an issue if it goes out while you are driving...fair enough...what about my engine exploding in the middle of the road and costing me tons of money in tows, mechanics and rental cars. Costing me my income because I cannot get to work now. And you are well aware of the issues with these cars. I have TWO OF THEM!!!!!! My household is currently car-less. I mean come on. Why is no one doing anything about this? In this day where prices on everything is so costly you cannot afford to live to begin with. What do I do now *****? Are you going to drive me to work each day or pay my bills because your 30, 000 car has an issue that you are well aware of but are choosing not to help us out. SHAME ON YOU. Shame on the government for bailing you out!!!!Review fromNicole T

1 starHorrible service through and through. I bought a 2021 trailblazer brand new with 45 miles on it. For the last year the check engine light has kept coming on. Took it to the dealership multiple times. Every time they said it was a computer malfunction and reset the computers. Check engine light came on again and my car was not running properly. So this time I took it to another ***** dealership. Their master mechanic told me my transmission had shrapnel in it and the transmission fluid was black. So when I looked at my warranty coverage it stated GM would provide a rental for the time my car was in the shop and being repaired. Well when I call GM the rep kept stating new policy terms are I would have to pay for this rental out of pocket and GM would reimburse me after the fact. Mind you this transmissions is on back order and I was told it would be minimum 60 days for my car to be fully repaired. To rent a car that long is well over 2k and I still have to make a payment for a car Im not driving much less dealt with check engine lights for a year and multiple ***** certified mechanics not looking into it properly? This is the service GM provides? This is ridiculous! **** poor service and **** poor vehicles. I will never invest my money into a vehicle my GM ever again. The fact that I have to pay for a rental when my warranty states one will be provided for me is outrageous. If its new policy, then I would like to know when because my paperwork states other wise and should be honored as such. I shouldnt have to remain car-less all because GM and ***** mechanics are negligent. Feed the rich and rob the poor is the standard they live by. This company disgusts me.Review fromHOLLY T

1 starApril 1, 2023, I traded in my Equinox, they gave me $3000 on top of paying it off. My new car, 2020 Buick, I had 16 days, and was in the shop for 12 days, picked it up, and 10 days later, same issue again. Would be in park, but say shift to park to turn off. Engine would turn off, but everything else would stay on and drain the battery. Car ended up being not drivable. They said part was on back order, no ETA. GM said they'd reimburse a rental AFTER my car was fixed and in my possession. So pretty much would be paying 2 car payments, not going to happen. They didn't care that I didn't have a car to drive, or a way to get anywhere. I was physically stuck. They should have stepped up and helped in some way, considering I had just bought the car and was already in the shop, 2 times within 2 weeks. The dealership I'm working with now, even said the deal was shady after they read all of the paperwork. Oh and they bought my car and are putting me in a new one, all because GM is incompetent of helping customers!! **************** is a joke.Review fromTyrone G

1 starWheres the zero star !!!!!!!Will never buy a ** automobile again!!!! If you own your automobile and need repaired they will not fix it even if the part is required to be fixed at your local ** dealership. Not only that but the dealership has the right to refuse to look at it your vehicle because its independent company but they carry the brand for General Motors. How do you let an independent not try to protect your brand and the ** corporation step in and not help!Review fromDanielle B

1 starI had to have 2 repairs done to my car, one from Hurricane *** and the other on my 3rd break light. Both have finally been repaired, but what horrible customer service now to attempt to get any reimbursement once going in under the impression that I was going to get some kind due to all the inconvenience the dealership had made the situation. Then putting my trust in General Motors to back me up only to turn around and not do a reimbursement at all. I had been on and off attempting to get my vehicle fixed following Hurricane ***. One appointment my vehicle was brought in and sent us back home due to not being able to see it even though we had a scheduled appointment. However, no one had communicated with us. Finally, when the vehicle was supposed to go in, I was ensured the part would be there and would take until Friday where we brought it in on a Monday. Now the adjuster had told us the job was only a 2 day job so we were trying to be understanding. I also had a break light fix scheduled across the parking lot in the service department. In the first week of vehicle being there NOTHING was fixed and the part was not there nor ordered when it was brought in and my car never made it to the service department for my break light ACROSS THE PARKING LOT. In the midst of scheduling and no communication my warranty ran out that would cover the break light and was told most likely now my break light will not be covered. No loaner cars were available and no offer to help with a rental. I am now out over $1200 with everything and just $900 for the rental along for a rental of 2 weeks meaning they had my vehicle a total of 3 weeks!! I was told that General Motors could cover up to $46 a day for the rental and was told today they are not able to offer me any compensation at this time. I am now awaiting a call from a supervisor/manager within General Motors as this is unacceptable. I will never recommend using this company ever agaiin!!Review fromjohn m

1 starUpdate: This dealership didn't even fix it after 20 days! It's going to Friendly Chevrolet!!! It's BRAND NEW!!******* in *********** ** had my father's BRAND NEW truck in its service department for TWENTY DAYS to "rebuild differential". He was told he could not have a loaner vehicle because he didn't buy his truck from that particular dealership. S/K were informed that he uses his truck for his job and he needs it to work. They did not care. In the past, my father has purchased 2-3 trucks from S/ K in *****. He purchased this new truck at ***** **C in ************, ** because S/K *********** had no **C Canyons. If you provide warranties for vehicles, you should provide the same amenities for all customers under warranty, not just those that purchased at that particular dealership. Timeline: 3/23/23 he dropped his truck off and part was ordered. Dealership took the whole truck apart. Was told the part would arrive 3/27 or 3/28 and it would be repaired then. 3/28, called the dealership and was told 3/30 or 3/31 he will have his brand new truck repaired. 3/30, he called late in the day and was told by **** (service manager) that the order for that part was cancelled and they cannot re-order for the same parts? 3/31 my mother called and spoke to the ** at the dealership, *****************. *** was on board with no loaner vehicle and had no answers. 4/4/23, my father called the dealership AGAIN and was told it will be the end of the week. 4/7, was told mid next week AND finally offered a loaner for 4/10. NINETEEN DAYS after drop off. His 2020 and 2022 Canyons had differential issues. The dealership has tried to blame my father, twice! **C incompetence has cost me over $2,000.00 in missed work because a brand new truck was not drivable and torn apart with no offer of a loaner, a rental, or even a timely repair. S and K service manager has zero business running that department. Has no clue how to deal with customers. Manufacture better vehicles.Review fromTim S

1 starI ordered a new truck from General Motors in December. It was produced in February, and it still has not been delivered. It is sitting in a rail yard in ******** and has been for a month. No one is willing to give me a reason, or even willing to give me someone to talk to. This customer service is awful.Review fromALFREDO V

1 star08/01/2022 I bought a NEW 2022 Cadillac CT5 from Cadillac store in *********** **. After 15 calls to roadside assistance no Cadillac dealership would service my car because I hadnt bought it from them! breaks or transmission was failing. When breaking sounded like dragging large metal object under car Finally 11/03/22 my car gets towed back to original Cadillac dealership where we bought it.On 11/18/22 service advisor calls me my car is ready. We happily go to get my car only for the store owner and the service man to tell us they found nothing wrong! That the problem with my car was something customers were complaining about since 02/10/2022 they handed me the print out of the findings and said nothing they could do to fix it! I told the dealership owner why wasnt I told this problem in August when I bought the car. They just kept apologizing but did nothing! The dealership owner did tell us to please call him let him know we got home safe 150 miles away. We brought it home. The problem got worse car would not stop when pushing on break and it would shift to low gear on its own! I called again they scheduled it 03/21/23 this time they would have a loner car for us. We get there no loner car and We were supposed to meet with the store owner we never saw him! After about 3 hours they tell us same thing! We were terrified to drive it back home as is. They gave us two options sell it back to us or take it home! I ask the service man if we leave it how will we get home he said that will be your problem, we have never been so humiliated treated so horribly we will remember him for ever! I was in tears when The salesman who sold us the car found a man to bring us halfway home.We lost more than 10K on this deal. With my broken heart I left my car with only ***** miles on ODO! Wish I could say the name of this place and horrible people we had to deal with that day.Hopefully they have the decency to tell the next owner car is dangerous ! ????? NO HELP FROM GM EITHER
