I purchased my first GM vehiclea used Hummer EV Edition 1 Pickup with very low mileageand it will undoubtedly be my last GM vehicle. Since purchasing it, the vehicle has spent over 40 days in the shop across multiple visits to the dealership. The most egregious issue was waiting an unbelievable 8 months for a replacement module, with ** unable to provide any clarity on timelines. I dealt with three case managers, and the final one took over months to provide updates. No one at ** seemed to know where the part was, whether it was being manufactured, produced, in transit, or sitting idle. The lack of organization was astounding. The *********** director smiled dismissively while I expressed my concernsa moment that exemplifies the lack of accountability I experienced. Beyond the module issue, the vehicle has had numerous other problems: the automatic tonneau cover stopped working, the truck failed to charge during a road trip, the cameras malfunctioned, and the seat adjustment buttons ceased functioning. Despite repeated visits, the dealership returned the truck with the tonneau cover permanently closed, leaving me with a truck I cannot use as a truck. The vehicle is riddled with glitches. Adding insult to injury, ********** recently changed its laws around used vehicles and buybacks, effectively reducing manufacturer accountability. As of this writing, my Hummer EV has been at the dealership for 12 consecutive days with no resolution in sight, and the timeline for repairs remains ************ claims on its website, "If you are not enjoying an exceptional experienceanything from ongoing warranty concerns to having difficulty getting your vehicle repairedcontact GM and let us help." I did, and my experience was far from exceptional. Instead, I encountered unorganized processes, wasted time, and a vehicle still awaiting repairs nine months after purchase.*** decided to sell this vehicle and will never do business with ** again.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I purchased a brand new 80,000$ vehicle that has had transmission issues since I purchased it. I have contacted the dealership and ** directly multiple times and each time, they say I have to make an appointment to bring it in which is usually several days later. By that point, the check engine light goes off, so there is "nothing they can do". I've requested to be able to bring it in as soon as it happens without and appointment so they can at least hook it up and diagnose it when the light is on, to no avail. I made an apt for several recalls and they also said they would check in to the transmission issue. They did not do all of the recalls because they needed to order parts and said they would call me when they came in, and also did not even bother looking at the transmission issue to try to figure it out because they "forgot". A month later, I still hadn't heard back, so I called and was told they had new employees and "forgot" to call me to tell me the parts for the recall repairs were in. I took it back and while it was there, the light for the transmission issue came on, so they were able to diagnose it. I was told the part was being order and would arrive within 3-5 business days. That did not happen, and there was no communication from the dealership. I had to call and was told that the part was on indefinite backorder and there is absolutely no ETA, and the service advisor stated that if I choose to take my vehicle and anything further happened to it as a result of the current issue that it would not be covered under warranty. I then spoke to the ** who stated that was not accurate and that it would absolutely be covered. ** will not give me any updates or confirm whether the service advisor or ** is correct about the warranty (should be-its BRAND NEW)! Bought this vehicle for my business and had to spend thousands of dollars hiring subcontractors to do the work I can't because I don't have a vehicle!

I cannot overstate how terrible my experience with my GMC truck has been. Its been a complete disaster from day one. Lifter failure not once, but TWICE, led to a full engine replacement, and Im STILL having issues with the truck. Add to that a failed transmission, a broken water pump, and persistent air intake issues that GMC cant even reprogram properly.Whats worse? *** offered me a $2,500 certificate as compensationa complete slap in the face considering the thousands of dollars Ive already spent and the endless frustration this vehicle has caused. This truck has been the most unreliable, poorly-made vehicle Ive ever owned. **** lack of accountability or meaningful support is shameful. Save yourself the hassle, the money, and the constant breakdownsDO NOT buy a GMC truck.

Purchased 2021 ***** Silverado new. Just found out transmission needs replaced along with blower motor. Dealership replaced blower motor but unable to replace transmission because they are out of stock. Luckily it was covered under extended warranty I purchased but now I am stuck driving with bad transmission because there isnt any transmissions available. This isnt acceptable. What further damage is it going to cause because of this? ***** has no answers. ******** bought a *****. How is this ok?!

I want to preface this by stating that I have had about 5 chevrolet vehicles in my lifetime and was the biggest champion of ***** vehicles. Issue 1: I bought my 2019 ***** Traverse on March 25, 2024 from ******. The car ran fine until about June when the check engine light came on. I got the code read and it was the purge valve. It was a $50 part, so I replaced it. Then the check engine light came back on in October 2024. I had the code pulled and it was the same thing. I did some research and found out that there was a recall for the purge valve. So I called my local GMC/***** service department and explained to them the issue. I gave them my vehicles VIN and they informed me that the part had been replaced by a previous owner and I would have to pay them to replace it. Here is my issue: Am I supposed to continue to replace this thing every 3-4 months???? This is apparently a design flaw and cause the vehicle to behave erratically. The 2nd time it happened it took me a couple of weeks to get the purge valve. Well any time I would get gas, the car would struggle to start. Once I got the part and installed it, that went away. So it IS an issue from the factory.Issue 2: Last month, we began hearing a rumbling sound from the speakers. It would actually make the rumbling sound when the vehicle was off. I tried adjusting the tone settings, thinking that it was the speakers. That wasn't it. I did research on the ***** forum and found that the *** module can get condensation from the ****************** Bulletin: 20-NA-025). This technical service bulletin states that the *** module should be replaced and a secondary shield should be installed to prevent the condensation.Once again, I called *** ****** GMC/Chevrolet service department. They pretty much told me that since it was only a technical service bulletin, they won't fix it for free and I have to pay out of pocket.
