      Absolutely horrible experience. NEVER purchase protection plan for them. They will not honor their contract or commitment. They will claim false "exclusions" from their criteria for coverage. For example, if they "claim" a piece of furniture has more than one stain, they refuse to service it. If you do not respond to their email stating the cleaning solution they mailed doesn't work within the arbitrary period of 30 days, they will no longer service your furniture. Their customer service agents on the phone are also rude and dismissive. I had basic food and beverage stains and was well within my 5-year protection plan for my couch. For each item I submitted, they found a dishonest reason to "exclude" coverage. They have no desire to provide the services they claim.

      Guardsman is a total scam. We have submitted twos claims, both of which were very difficult to submit due to a purposely obstructive claim process, and both have been rejected for administrative reasons. The coverage was a huge waste of money, and we are going to go to **************** and argue with them about getting a refund for the cost.

      In March of 2023 purchased an electronic recliner from **************** as well as this completely useless warranty. It took them 2.5 MONTHS to finally tell me the pet damage and the damage to my motor are NOT covered (no explanation at all on except, pet damage was "extensive and preventable"- ha! If I could have prevented it I wouldn't need this warranty, now would I?) ; and sure I can go ahead and pay for a motor replacement myself but that could take another 3 MONTHS OR MORE to receive the part, then God knows how long it takes this slow a** company to install it. THIS IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY.

      Service Agreement #******** I followed all the rules in document submissions and had a repairman who came in good time frame. He said a part for my recliner mechanism would be ordered and mailed to me and I would call to schedule the repair. Ever since (almost 2 months) all I get is excuses and today I received a denial of my claim. Guardsman is a complete scam and waste of money. Now I am left with nothing.

      The company approved my claim but when the repair tech arrived he stated he did not have a work order to repair both issues. So no work was done the first visit. My claim went back into processing and then was partially denied. I don't understand how the claim can be approved then denied later. I sent all the required documentation the first time. The reps were nice on email, but I can't agree with the process and time spent to get nowhere here. I would not recommend purchasing the plan.

      We bought a protection plan and they were definitely not worth it when I went to make a claim. Claims denied and I was blamed when their website duplicated an uploaded photo for my furniture 28 times. They claimed that I did not send in the required photos but their system had to have duplicated the photos on their end. However, I was left with damaged furniture and no payment to me or furniture repair. It is not worth it. I would not purchase again. I would not recommend this company to others.

      The worst company to do business with. My couch has been broken for almost a year now. They are rude and have hung up the phone on me numerous times. Or I get left on hold forever. Will never do business that has them warranty anything. Zero stars if possible. *** I bought this piece from *******. They act like it's not their problem either

      If it was possible to leave a negative star rating for Guardsman I would. Guardsman does not have any intentions to back their product. They will gladly take your money and find any reason possible to not back their product. The actions they take to not stand behind their product is shameful, a promise of service that they never planned to honor. This company should be reported and face civil and/or criminal charges for their complete disregard for honoring promised services. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON GUARDMANS.

      I bought my chair at ******** opted for the protection plan with Guardsman around $500 for that plan by the way I dont suggest buying the plan you have to go online fill out a whole bunch of stuff then wait 30 days for a reply and when they came, they did nothing and said nothing was wrong with the chair I just put another claim in. It does not even give me a claim number, but Ill wait 30 more days and see what I get but I do not suggest spending that $500 on Guardsman in Havertys. You should be ashamed of yourself for using this company and you wash your hands of it once the sale is done and you take your percentage on the protection plan and give Guardsman the rest not very good business practice ******* you should look into this

      Do not buy any furniture that ********* covers worst company I have ever dealt with and they do not cover what it says it does
