I was approached by a sales person who came to my home to sell a product to kill bugs. Told cost was ******. I then found out after signing contract that it was ****** for four treatments EACH!! That day they sprayed and when I found out it was 4 treatments. I called company and cancelled before three days. I already paid 200 for 1st treatment. They said I didnt have to have all treatments, I could just get second treatment to kill eggs. I agreed to treatment because without it the first treatment was useless. I NEVER reinstalled contract which they are saying I did. The gal offered a discount for second treatment of ***** for salesman not making things clear. Charge would be ******. After 2nd treatment I sent video my ring camera took of man spraying poorly. I felt it was not done right. They never addressed the video but charged my credit card. Now they want to charge me ANOTHER 200. for a supposed discount on the contract I cancelled.Business Response

I am writing to formally address a serious matter regarding defamatory statements made by representatives of Ecoshield Pest Solutions that have come to our attention. It has been reported that these statements, which are false and damaging, have been communicated to our clients and partners, tarnishing the reputation of ****** Pest Control in *************, ********. As a professional organization, we strive to maintain a high standard of integrity and ethics in all our business dealings. We are deeply concerned that the actions of these representatives are not only damaging to our reputation but also to the business relationship and trust we have established with our clients and partners. In June of 2024, several customers have called referring defamotory statement regarding ****** Pest Control including that we are an unlicensed business, we are giving our customers wrong information, and much more slanderous information. Over the last several weeks, we have had over a dozen of our customers call to relay this information. As we've tried to reach out to the company ourselves, they have refused to cease and desist and assured us they will continue to communicate this to others. We are hoping to file a complaint as it has become damaging to the reputation of our company as well as our community.Business Response

Have had ecoshield for over a year. The service is horrible. Not doing the job theyre supposed to. Sends me a text when theyre gonna show up. Shows up to early so nobodys to let them in my backyard to do their job. Not taking down bees nest that theyre supposed to. Not putting the stuff on the lawn for ants like theyre supposed to. So fed up with this company. Im gonna cancel but now Im seeing theyre trying to charge people a cancellation fee.Business Response

On 15 May, 2024 an Ecoshield solicitor was in my neighborhood going door to door. I signed up for the service with the agreement they would perform the service. Well, that did not happen. I was not home when I received a notice that the service had been done. However, when I got home I did not see any evidence of service which prompted me to check my portal. The following are the reasons I believe service was not not:1. The tech said he sprayed my bushes - I dont have bushes. 2. He said he sprayed around my detached garage - I dont have a detached garage. 3. He said he put granules on my lawn - no evidence of any granules. 4. The door tag annotated time here 3:00-3:45. I was here until 3:12. The tech was not here. I am seen on my garage camera walking out of my house at 3:12 to get into my car. 5. My nephew went to get something out of his truck at 3:17 and was seen on my garage camera walking out of the house. The tech was not here.After talking with the Ecoshield employee who visited my home on 15 May 2024 he tried to make excuses. Example: He must have sprayed your neighbor's garage thinking it was yours; my neighbor does not have a detached garage.Needless to say I have cancelled my service. I can't babysit a company to do the work I am paying them do to. After calling I was told because the first service was performed I have to pay $150 for the service (because they say it was done) and an additional $200 for canceling before the end of my contract!Ecoshield should refund all my money. When we were first notified of your concerns, we scheduled a follow-up visit for 5/20/24 to verify the property and treat any areas that *** have been missed. However, on the morning of the scheduled service, you emailed to cancel the account, so the free follow-up service was canceled. We needed to verify the property and complete the service to your satisfaction.

Back in August of this year, Ecoshield was in my neighborhood and was knocking door to door and they came to my door and talked to me about their business. They initially had gave me a fair enough price of 145 to get started with them and for them to come and service my home. Well since they first started servicing my house I am still seeing insects and pest around my house and inside as well. When they had came out the following month I told them that I was still seeing pest and spider webs around my house. They said they would look into it and get it taken care of. Well I still saw insects and I called them to cancel my service with them because I am not happy with the work they have been doing. They told me that I would need to pay *********************************************************************************************** the first time. I have been polite to them and I just dont want them here and they keep saying that if I want the service to stop to pay the 300 dollars.Business Response

On June 16, 2023, I entered into a 12 month contract with EcoShield Pest Control. The sales man over sold the service according to their business license. The salesman told us that ********************** would take care of the ant problem in our lawn 100%. That was the only reason I signed. the contract. As for treatment around my home I did not have ******** problem, it was just the lawn. They have done treatments in my lawn on June, 2023, July 2023 and have been back for touch-up three various times and again this evening, We have more ants than ever. The salesman"s 100% was a lie, plus he sold a product that EcoShield is not licensed for. This being said, I want this contract cancelled and no further business with this service. The ecoshield sales representative promised us a no contract pest solution service to prevent bugs stating we could cancel at any time without penalty. We signed the sales agreement and started service quarterly at $189 per quarter. We have paid $189 x2. When we called to cancel our contract, because we are not seeing a benefit and because the rep broke the gate to our fence and didn't notify us we were told we received a $200 initial discount and we would be required to pay this back if we want to cancel the "contract" before the 24 month minimum period. We were tricked by the sales person and this company is totally dishonest. Do not do business with them. Also, when you do call with a billing issue, they will keep you on hold for 30+ minutes and promise a timed call back. That call back will occur a week later at 6PM on a Friday night a week later after your initial call. We never should have allowed for a trial period or signed up with the sales person because he was clearly very dishonest.I wish we had just slammed the door in his face. English is not my first language. The representative did not inform me that I was signing a contract and had me pay $180. I was understanding that it was a one time fee. I asked to have the ants in my yard removed. He had me sign something on his electronic pad and said that they would come and take care of the ants. Ten days after the first application I still had the same ant problem and they came back to spot treat the yard. He told me they will never get rid if the ants and I will always have the ants issue. I still have many ant colonies in my yard. They texted me to do another application. I called them to tell them I don't need it since it isn't working. And it won't be working according to their staff. That's when I was told it was a contract. This is fraud as I was tricked into signing a contract without knowing it. When I asked to cancel this contract, they told me I had to pay $200. This is dishonest and they have taken advantage of my situation. I just want to be out of this contract since their product will not take of the ant problem.Business Response

On 4/28/2023 I signed up with Ecoshield pest solution $199 quarterly to spray around the house every 3 months for ants & other insects. On 5/23/2023 they called me that they r going to come & spray again & I have to pay them $200 for another visit . I said I just paid u $199 for quarterly why i have to pay u again. The salesman never said that I have to pay them again in a month. The guy did say that if I cancel them before a year they will charge me $200 but he never mention that he will be back in a month .On 5/25/2023 they charge my card for $200 for cancellation fees. Their salesman or spray guy never mentioned it that I have to pay them every month.
