I am stuck with $300 bills for a 500sqft apartment in *********************. No one seems to think thats ridiculous especially considering my highest bills were when I wasnt home for 2 months. No one who inspected my apartment inside and the meter seemed to care. Im paying almost $100 in some BS distribution fees. Ive never paid so much for electricity in my entire life. Not even in **** ** in 120 *******. I wish I had another option.

This is directed to the Customer service. We recently moved to MI from *******, so we dont know much about handling winter weather, we are always asking questions. Yesterday I realized we ran out of gas, and there may be a winter storm coming. There was one before we moved and our home pipes were frozen. lot of money spent. This time, we called and let them know that we needed gas because of the storm, they scheduled us for Saturday which is fine, but storm is Friday after midnight. We were a bit upset and worried. We called to see if there was another way we could get it quicker. We talked to ******* or ******, I didnt hear here well. The issue is, I asked, hey, I know you cant get us the gas quicker, perhaps you can give us advice or ANYTHING that could help us prevent the frozen pipes tell me why this woman said . No my man was next to me and shook his head in disappointment to say yall are too funny. And she said sorry. We hanged up right after that, useless. We understand your personnel arent plumbers, but you have hundreds of employees living in the snow and she could find ANY WAY to help us. Obviously we googled ways and found some tricks, but she couldve even said that! She couldve said, I can suggest you to look for home made solutions until Sunday. That wouldve sufficed but the fact that she said no so quickly without any initiative to seek for advice for your customers that call worried for their home yall should consider training these people to assist better, that was not assisting, that was lazy, unethical, and stupid. She couldve even say: I can help you find the number of your nearest plumber that you can call and ask. (I thought about these questions after I had no choice but to fend for myself) like, literally ANYTHING she couldve said ONE THING and say, but thats all I can say cause Im unsure and dont want to give you faulty advice. That wouldve been great!! But her response was, no sorry.Do BETTER.

92+ hour outage, in the middle of winter, after a storm that only lasted overnight.

We've been without power and have had a downed power line in our yard for 4 days now. Consumers keeps on telling us we in fact have power and refuses to send anyone out to take care of the downed line.

My power has been out for 4 days and instead of focusing on getting it restored Consumer's is paying for people to go to the ******. How about giving that money to the workers missing their families while working round the clock to restore power or to the customers forced to hotels and buying gas for generators because we have been without power for 4 days in freezing weather.

Consumers Energy is a scam. How can we get other electric service in ******* County? You pay for budgeted amount of $294 per month. EVERY MONTH. ON TIME. this month somehow - once again - they say we owe $1600 due today. This is highway robbery. We did not run AC nor heat in Sept or October. This is twice this year they have gouged us - because what else you going to do to power your house. This company is robbing people. our home is **** sq ft. No one is home all day. No lights are on - no power is being used. It is impossible to get a straight answer and they do not seem to care to come out and see if there is a line or meter issue. Crooks in business and no where to turn.

From ******************************** Had to call out for gas to be turned on and the employee who came out was amazing. His name was ****. I trusted him to do what he had to do. With me being handicap he sure made sure everything was done and in a timely manner. I felt safe with him and I can tell he has experience and uses safety at all times .. I was happy to have heat thanks to him.

Our power went out at about 6pm on 10/5/2022. The estimate said power would be back on at 9 pm same day - 9 pm then turned to midnight, then to 3 am on 10/6. Until the update of 3 am, there was no reason given for the outage. And at the end of the outage when power had been restored at 3:04 am, received a text with the following details: Consumers Energy: Power restored in the area Cause: Animal Duration: 3 hours and 35 minutesNow math may not be my strong suit, but 6 pm to 3 am is NOT 3 hours and 35 minutes. It was revealed to me consumers energy all over is currently being audited for their response and fix times - to me this is a blatant lie of their fix time of this outage. And on top of this, a lot of my frozen items were lost due to the inaccurate estimates they provided. Had they just initially said it would be ***** hours, I could have set up a generator while it was still light outside when the power went out. Instead, they just kept pushing back the outage time and not giving a reason for the outage. Horrible service, wish there were other competing companies so homeowners would have a choice and would not be stuck with consumers. I have also learned during this outage that if you lose power 7 or more times in a 12 month period, you can submit a claim to consumers - wish I had known this when I first purchased my home a little over a year ago, as I MOST DEFINITELY have lost power that many times or more in 12 months - but I was not keeping track as I had no idea this was something I could do. I have now started a list of power outages so when I lose power 6 more times in the next 12 months (which I have now just come to EXPECT outages) I can file a claim.

Id leave a zero but thats not an option. All Ill say is they treat and act just like the government. These last 2 yrs have definitely been the worse of the worse and they wont even listen to their guys own needs and wishes after they are frequent flyers in my neighborhood. If I had other options Id go but Im not ready to live like my grandparents did yet.
