      Purchased Merrelll J035851 Mens Hiking Boots, Moab 3 Dark ****** Size 10 M. After roughly 35 days of use, both front soles on left and right shoe have come unglued. Reached out to Merrell Support but was disappointed that the company's policy only provides for a portion of credit, rather than a full replacement if the product is found to be defective because I purchased on Amazon, through their system, and through one of their sellers. According to Merrell's team, they are not an authorized seller. Unfortunate that Merrell chooses to ignore the customers and revenues a large portion of their ' unauthorized' sellers generate for this company. This is an inferior product, sold by an inferior company, with the policies and mechanisms to carry out their sales model objectives irrespective of the damage to consumers they may cause.

      Good Afternoon - 

      We received Complaint ID ******** and wanted to provide a response. As was stated to the consumer, he purchased shoes from an unauthorized reseller on Amazon. While we are sympathetic to his situation and have provided a discount for authorized Merrell shoes, any further complaints need to be escalated to Amazon or the Amazon seller as we were not the manufacturer or distributer of the product. We are aware of the unauthorized resellers on Amazon and are also pursuing them on our end.

      www.wolverine.com ran a promotion that signing up for text message marketing would provide a 15% off discount, and that my order of $74.99 pre-tax qualified for free shipping. However at checkout, the 15% off discount wouldn't work, and free shipping was not an option. I took screenshots and placed my order, and then contacted their customer service to request both a refund on the shipping, and the 15% discount. Their response was "This promotion, 763WOLV15, is not valid on sale items, so it will not apply to your order. Also, the order did not meet the threshold for free shipping, so it will not apply either. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause." I have a screenshot from their website stating that my order, specifically, met their threshold for free ************ enquired as to how the discount could be invalid when there was no statement made about the discount not working with items on sale when signing up for text message marketing. Their second response was word for word verbatim with their first.
