      My vehicle was hit 6 weeks ago while it was parked with no one in the vehicle. Submitted a claim and all I get back is we are trying to determine if our insured is responsible since the insured is saying the vehicle was stolen at the time of the accident. I don't understand why it is taking so long to get a copy of the police report. Initial searches of our own do not show the vehicle, by vin, as ever being listed as stolen. Feels like they are dragging it out as long as possible before they will pay out. I have filed a complaint with my state insurance commission in the hope that it will be processed faster.

      I have been with this company for many years and received prompt attention in the past. I recently had dealings with them again. The customer service was awful. The claim date was recorded wrong and emails were not being responded to by the adjuster. I would not recommend this company. I will be discontinuing my policy.

      I just finished with a claim where a Auto Owners Customer hit and damaged my vehicle. The Adjuster sent me a text at 4pm on a Friday that my car was finished, and they were canceling the rental that day. I let him know I was over an hour away, and at work until 10pm. He said he would be nice, and extend it to Saturday, the best he could do. I called the shop, and they informed me they are closed on weekends, and I'd have to pick up my car on Monday. The Adjuster said all he would authorize was one more day, I had better make arrangements and have someone else pick up my car. Absolutely Outrageous!!! The stress I went thru was totally unnecessary, and unacceptable. I would not ever pay this Company for Insurance, and next time I will go thru my Insurance Company if I am ever in a situation like this again.

      Auto owners denied my claim after a tree fell on my house. Punched several holes through the roof. They claimed it could be patched, even after we had a roofing company and third party adjust tell them otherwise. Auto Owners is a dishonest company, Ive since removed all of my business from them, totaling about $75,000 in yearly insurance premiums.

      Auto-Insurance Westgate Insurance agency in Toledo, Ohio, is charging for additional insured certificates, which no other company has ever charged for before this year. They charged $222.00 for the additional insured names. On the invoice, they do not describe the charges; they send invoices. I would not recommend that any property owners purchase this insurance without clear charges.

      Auto Owners roadside assistance is the worst I've ever dealt with. I needed my truck towed and they took almost 24 hours (not a typo) and still were unable to find a service provider, not even an ***. They dropped my claim in the middle of the night because I didn't respond to one of their texts at 1:00 a.m. within their 10-minute timeframe. I am lucky I was not stranded in the middle of nowhere because I would probably still be there right now. I ended up finding my own service provider because I needed to get my truck fixed. The very first company I called was there within the hour. I ended up having to pay out of pocket and now I get to go through the hassle of trying to get reimbursed. The roadside department is inadequate; what am I paying for again?

      Not my insurance company but an absolutely terrible company to deal with. The people I dealt with had terrible attitude. From now on Ill deal with only my insurance company (progressive) and let them go after the other drivers insurance. Absolute disgusted with them.

      I was hit from behind and pushed into another vehicle by a driver who has Auto owners. I have tried numerous times in the past few days to get ahold of the adjuster supposedly taking this claim with no answer or response. My own insurance has tried calling with no answer. I would never choose this company. I do know for fact that their policy holders vehicles is already being looked at so clear they do have employees yet they cant answer the phone or return calls. ******** service provided.

      Have claim for auto repair. Adjusters do not return calls. Car is ready but auto owners will not contact Collision center for final payment. Car has been setting for over a week ready for pickup but we cannot due to adjusters not responding to collision center.

      This is the worst company ever! I am not a client (thank god) but got hit by someone who has auto owners. I have gotten nowhere and it will be 4 months that the accident occurred on the 23rd of this month. The few times they did answer me or my agent all they say is theyre trying to get in contact with their client. Would not use them if their services were free!
