Company is stealing medicare participants money and saying its over budget. I have filed with the state of Maryland and DC. The local goverment entities is investigating. The participants deserves so much more. I have not gotten paid for the back pay after medicaid paid them and I did not get paid. Where's the money, I have unpaid bills and struggling to make ends meet while I'm still working because the client needs the care.GT Independence

They are terrible about getting employees paid on time. I got paid through them years ago and there was constant issues with getting paid on time and missing money. I started working for a client that uses GT again in January of 2024, it took a month to get paid my first paycheck and they shorted me and it took additional time to get the rest of my back pay, after that it seemed like they had improved on their payroll but that didn't last long. I typically have to message at the beginning of the pay week to make sure they received the hours I submitted, because often times when I don't, I don't get paid and have to wait an additional 5 days. This week they tried to blame me but I have proof that my time was approved by client a little after 11 am on Monday, they didn't mark it received until I messaged them on Thursday. So now I have a bunch of bulls bouncing and for the first time in my current home my rent will be late because of this companyGT Independence

HORRIBLE! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! The only reason I am even working with this company is because I am taking care of my terminally ill grandmother. I have had issue after issue with payroll; not receiving compensation when it is due; learning that payroll keeps changing direct deposit information so I have to wait another additional two weeks longer to receive the compensation they failed to provide me when it was due. Time and time again I have provided them with the documents necessary to be properly compensated, but all I get is, Sorry, just to *** them again with the SAME complaint! For those people out there taking care of their loved ones through this program: do the best you can to take care of your loved one and enjoy the time you have with them all the while, but make sure you utilize your time wisely and either go back to school, or even get another job, because for me, to continue dealing with the payroll issues of this company is madness!!!!GT Independence

I am a consumer with this company. As my caseworker has assigned them to handle the payroll and hiring process.This company I have been with since the beginning of February of 2024 and I must say that first off, The turn around time from filling out an application and waiting to be approved takes a minimum of 3 weeks Which is ridiculous considering this is caretaking in clients depend on their caretakers.Secondly, multiple employees That were working for me had their pay rate randomly messed up multiple times and it's been a couple weeks while they're still waiting for the retro pay.Thirdly, A majority of the CSR's are completely unprofessional, and they do not follow-up with their job. When you call to ask for a task and for them to find a resolution.This is one of the worst companies that I've dealt within the last 10 years, with care taken and they do not care about their clients.GT Independence

So far, Ive had nothing but positive experiences, and ******* ****** has been an incredible support throughout the process. *** works with individuals with disabilities, and as someone who loves helping people, Ive found this to be such a rewarding experience. 1 starhe only reason I gave this company one star is because I can't give them zero. I have worked with this company for almost two years now, and they are the worst company I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. They constantly "misplaced" important paper work that the staff needs to be able to receive payments. Then when you call them and try to fix the issue they deny any knowledge of it, once proof is presented they just shrug and so "oh sorry." then do nothing to fix it! They routinely just don't pay employees and will hang up on you if you try to call, if not put you on hold for hours with no answer and no resolution. They never update PCPs when they are sent, don't update staffs CPR and first aid and just ignore emails when confronted. They do not care and neither does the DDA, if they did something would be done. They are the most unprofessional and worthless company I've ever dealt with, they should be shut down and have an internal investigation. Honestly an embarrassment and a disgrace to the needs community.Review fromCecilia R

My CPR was expired a couple months ago so they decided not to pay me on pay day until i updated my CPR. How ever recently i updated my CPR so i wouldn't have this issues again with Pay. Today 10/25/24 I didn't receive todays pay because they said my CPR is expired. I sent them a email back in September with updated CPR which i was able to locate that it was sent to GT independence. They are making me wait another week to receive my pay that I worked for. Not to mention back in July the social worker for the client failed to put in the proper paperwork for the client which led to me to still working for the client with no pay for the month of July. I didn't receive July's pay until late August. Then there i can never speak to a supervisor cause they are in meeting's, well if that's the case then how was my UPDATED CPR card overlooked which then led to me not getting my pay check very Upsetting and i DONT DESERVE THIS i show up for workand deserve to have more answers then what's giving.GT Independence

4 starsThere was a lot of confusion in the beginning which led to much delay on a lot of my paychecks. Some of it was on my end as well. I did not get much help until DAVID R reached out to me. 5 starsThis (5 Star) review is for ANNETTE D (Enrollment Specialist) NOT for GTI itself!! I give this organization (2 Stars) as they lack qualified & trained staff to support the many participants like myself from the State of Connecticut Annette literally heard the sound of desperation in my voice in one of the many unanswered "messages" to GTI Support. She called me back not once not twice but THREE times one day until she finally spoke with me and asked how can she help, as it was clear to this caring agent that I was struggling. I spent 4+ months trying to acquire (PERS) Medical Alert Service, with vendors like Connect America who along with GTI literally left me in the lurch. Processing my caregivers was taking months instead of weeks. It was on that day Annette said, "not to worry Mr. *****s, you have reached the right person and I will do everything I can to assist you", I thought to myself, yeah sure you will. Oh was I wrong! This caring and compassionate woman, who I now call my GTI Angel, went above and beyond every step of the way!! Annette and I worked together, along with GTI supervisors to whom she reached out to get the job done. In a matter of a few weeks, (not several months) not only do I have my Medical Life Alert (she was concerned about my many falls) through a better provider ********, but I now have not one but two caregivers processed and working for me; providing me with care and attention I deserve. It was because she saw me as a human being and not just another name on a list, but instead, I felt I was truly being heard and my concerns addressed. I have come to learn that Annette, like myself, has her own set of life circumstances, but, unlike me, she has multiple supports in place that allow her to be both present for and supportive of GTI's many participants like myself, merely looking for an opportunity for a better quality of life. KUDOS to you Annette, KUDOS!!
