    I am a member of the better buisness burea that being said I also own a buisness and my daughter received services with gt and recently had her right violated and was terminated by gt due to no fault of her own and I tried several times to present facts and proof in detail and was refused the chance to do so also ask for a extension to get another provider to pick this up due to the holiday season in fact was not even explained we only had 30 days to find another 3 rd party payroll company and was denied that also I have no choice but to turn this over to our disablity rights lawyer who has already represented us in past with another ADA ********* and I hate having to do this however my daughter is crushed by being told she was not smart enough to comply when gt in fact dropped the ball on there end with there employees taking time off in the middle of training and replacement trainer got covid and excuse after excuse boiled down to unfair treatment to my daughter and there was no need to make fun of her disablity but they did being a buisness owner I always practice the customer is always right and go out of my way for excellent customer service gt would not even allow us to present the facts emails text and ********** they dismissed it and said terminated for non compliance however they are not complying with the *************** and I pray my disablity rights lawyer can bring this to light so not 1 more disabled person has to be treated bad and made feel the way they made my daughter feel her heart is broke thanks ***** with Gt I'm sure your proud of yourself what would the truth have hurt you any why could you not be fair and most of all why not a reasonable accommodation due to holiday and no program lapse would occur I just don't understand but the truth always comes to light and I will see to it that it does because this was so wrong

    Discrimination I have autism. They exist to serve people with my diagnosis and others. In writing in email, I asked for Americans with Disabilities Act accommodations. Due to the request they refused to do business with me. It's like they are a bank, not realizing there are laws about disability and accessing services. They don't understand that refusing to do business with someone because of disability is illegal let alone as a reply for a simple ADA request. Retaliation for asking for accommodation, in form of segregation and exclusion violates their contracts with the feds. Someday soon the Department of Justice on the state or federal level are going to have a hey day with them. I'm available for testimony if anyone needs help with this rights violator.

    I talked to ******** and she helped me very much. This is my first time to work with this company. She was very patient with me .She stayed on the phone and told me how to do paperwork. She went step by step. She had a great personality.

    Working with GT has been a horrible experience. The representative does not respond to my emails, answer the phone or call back. If she responds it's a partial answer and so often I'm still left not knowing how to proceed. She repeat asks me questions that I've already answered, critical answers that because she didn't take notice of cause delays. When I sent her the spending plan she responded to and corrected the example at the top instead of the real thing below. We have been through three deadlines to start the program. She comes at me with impossible to meet never before mentioned tasks days before each one. Two days prior to the latest deadline she gave me a list of things to do that were related to documents she'd had sitting on her desk for weeks. I have lost a caregiver to the delays and a second who has been waiting for two months can't wait a third. I am missing work, family time and neglecting other aspects of my life. I am paying out of pocket to train each caregiver (yes, even the ones who leave) and also offering them part time work out of pocket so they have something while they wait. At this point I want to give up but at the same time if I opt out of the program I won't be able to claim hours for the work I'm doing to arrange things. If my review can convince one person not to engage in the stinking mess that this company is, or better yet, someone out there who can actually do something and hold them accountable, I will consider the 10 minutes it took to write this and the precious head space I allowed them to occupy, worth it. PS: Why do I have to leave a star at all? GT deserves no stars.

    GT independence has been one of the most difficult ordeals I have ever experienced. I applied back in June of 2022. After being told things were being processed, they lost all my information which I submitted well on time. Furthermore, it was always myself and the parent requesting services always having to call and inform ourselves about the status. They did not get back to us until we got other people involved. To this day, although things are moving forward, they have not reached out with a courtesy call so that I can establish payment on the care giver app. When I do try to reach them, I get put on hold for a long period of time and or never receive a call back. My representative for this company says they are short staffed but I fail to see why that is an excuse for their poor communication. Just today I attempted to reach them over time sheet billing to see if my hours were processing, but even then I never got a call back nor confirmation if my hours worked when through. To this point I am beyond frustrated with this experience, the people that end up losing is myself, the parent I want to help, AND the learner awaiting service. There were many times I contemplated finding another company however did not want to go back on my word and commit to helping my clients son. Until I start hearing back from them un- prompted my views remain the same.

I am not comfortable with technology and she walked me through each step with patience, kindness and professionalism. It was an absolute pleasure!     This business should be put out of business!!!!I am a therapist that is a vendor and collect service payment from GT Independence. This financial management company is put in place of families who have successfully been granted a part of the Self Determination Program. This program is a blessing for families but unfortunately some of them have chosen GT Independence to "manage" their funds! Which they do VERY POORLY!!!I have multiple families choosing GT Independence and moving forward I am not recomending them EVER to any future client I will be working with. Out of the families that are currently using this very sad company I have had multiple invoices that were over a month overdue and sent multiple email reminders as well as called multiple times to complain as well as get information on the late payments. I get ZERO response from my emails and they refuse to pay any late fees! Why don't any of these staff respond to their emails or late inquiries??? Why do I have to spend all my precious time from seeing clients to be on hold and wait to have to call and complain to these individuals that are NOT doing their job and so unprofessionally not even responding to emails!!! Parents DO NOT use this company and I will not be taking any other clients on board that are using GT Independence as their financial "management"! They do not manage or help families, they just cause more stress by not having the human compassion to even respond to emails and inquiries! GET this business away from these parents cause they do NOT support!!! For example, one of my clients had 2 overdue invoices and we sent multiple emails both parent and I. When I finally called them on the phone they said "oh that X person no longer works with us" and never even let the family know that their child lead support person from GT Independence was gone!!! REally???? They don't even deserve one star!!
