    This company is the WORST!!! I have spent more hours than I can count for the phone waiting to fix problems. They do not know what they are doing. I have received several different answers for the same problem. Customer service is extremely unprofessional. I just want to be able to work and be paid. I don’t want to to keep calling or messaging the company to get my hours or pay correct.

    Horrible company. I have several PCAs who is owed pay since August. GT said they will not pay worked hours at all even though it’s in the budget BECAUSE THE STATE OF CT HAS TET TO PAY GT!!!! I have another caregiver who has not been paid going in 4 weeks this coming Friday. She already said she will have to quit working as no one works for free. I have my autistic sister with no staff because GT refuses to add the IHS code that was approved back on 09/01/2024 emails going back and forth and forms needed have been submitted. Yet a code that should take a few hours to be active is in limbo. Staff has been clocking in with temp code but was unable to approve temp code. GT does not allow it and have another staff working for free last week and this week while we wait. SHE TOO SAID AHE WILL QUIT as know one works for free I’ve had all of my PCAs for my family for almost 10 years, unfortunately they never had to work for free. this unethical company that does not seem to know what’s going on Taxes are never taken out correctly. So many employees will owe at the end of the year PTO is not added correctly Codes do not always show up Portal and GT app is down often Clocking in & out is not always recorded my app or portal correctly on most days No one answers emails or Facebook messenger let alone the phone which can be a 2 hour hold or longer just to get someone to put you back on hold because they never have the answer to anything. When GT actually responds I’m told they will let customer support know the issue within one business day & that someone will get back to me within 3 days. Then after 4 days pass I have to start the whole process over again. I believe this company is a scam. how are they allowing for handicapped:disabled adults & children to be with our healthcare they previously had before GT How can the owner of this company sleep at night knowing handicapped people & PCA are suffering do to their negligence Dealing with GT is a second job

    The company is awesome! I am the senior citizen in need of a caregiver. GT Independence has provided me with the background check for the people I was wanting to be in my home to care for me. Their customer service representatives are helpful and some will take their time to help you get your problem handled. However, the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE they have on staff is JENNIFER M is the greatest representative I've ever used in my life and I'm 70 years old! Obviously I've had a lot of interaction with customer service in that amount of time.

    The worst company - I cant even believe it. Difficult to get my employees paid properly or at all. The tradition was nothing short of a disaster. Someone also needs to look into the shaving off of 1/4 hours from peoples time. They tell me they use a rounding Rule but the portal already rounds to the nearest 1/4 hour for time worked so there is NO REASON to go back in and round down by time punches.

    If I could give zero stars I would for follow through. Customer service representatives are nice enough on the phone however nothing changes. A new employee of ours has not been paid and is unable to complete time sheet in portal because of an incorrect code. This employee has been waiting since May to get on the payroll, excuse after excuse by GT. I have logged many hours calling this company and nothing gets resolved (even though promised). Today I was told to hold for a supervisor and that she (Melissa) was expecting the transfer, yet she did not answer the phone, follow up call and transfer, two voicemails left and still no response. Please do better! You are dealing with our most vulnerable population, and this is unacceptable.

    I had started as a caregiver for GT Independence back in February.... I got my 1st client and provided respite services on 5-4-2024 through 5-5-2024... I have still NOT been paid for the service that I provided or the 10 hours of training... Training is required for employment.... I would NOT recommend this company... I have made multiple requests for payment and NO answer... I wouldn't even give them 1 stars but the system would not let me leave a review without it...

    Their employees are polite but they refuse to withhold federal income taxes. It is like Groundhog Day every time they finally answer you !

    I wouldn't recommend GT Independence to a flea on a tick. They are awful. What is is going to take for them to get it together? Multiple people losing their life and a class action law suite. GT Independence customer service is the pits. You can not get through and then when you do they tell you lies or what they think you want to hear instead of fixing the issue and paying vendor, employees in a timely manner. Yet those on the phones get their pay checks every two weeks. GT Independence this is a federally funded program. What's the problem?? If this is how you run in other states how and why are you still in business? You need to get it together and get things in order. You are a mess because you do not have a paper trail. You can say anything without a paper trail. If its not written it did not happen is that why you have no paper trail. An no paper trail makes it easier for you to run off with funds that don't belong to you. Get your act together and pay people. You do not deserve a 2.18 rating. In my book your rating should be less than zero.

     ******** switched to GT independence for some reason.  it was a mistake. i am trying to hire a person and i was told 1-2 weeks. it has now been a  month. The  person i am hiring thinks that i am an idiot because gt independence can't get their crap together. They  take days or weeks to return calls or emails. and you are on hold forever. definitely would not use them if it was my choice. Good  luck.
