I attended the *** program at Rasmussen- ***** (*****************) from 7/2019-12/2019. My financial aid was through the parent PLUS loan. I left the school because of some life stuff. In Feb of 2020, I receive an email from Rasmussen Collections stating that I owe them $2,545 because I was wrongfully sent excess funds from tuition fees that were removed that should not have been. This is referring to the second/final semester I was enrolled in. I asked why this would happen when my parent PLUS loan covered all of my tuition because it simply makes NO SENSE. I was told and assured that the financial aid did cover all your courses. The email also states that the tuition charge was added back to the ledger account on 1/23/2020 and now gives me a balance due of $2,545. I asked for further clarification and this was the response I received. You received excess funds from your financial aid back in October. You had more financial aid then what was needed and your credit directive stated to send funds to you rather than back to the lender. Therefore, you were at a $0.00 balance on 10/23. After that time, your tuition was inadvertently adjusted. That was not supposed to happen. Tuition was not supposed to be adjusted because you attended all of your courses for that term. These excess funds were credit from a credit balance on your account, but it was an error. THEIR ERROR, NOT MINE.Because of this, they are refusing to release my official transcripts that I need in order to officially graduate from my current college and to start my BS at my next college. They said theyve sent the balance to collections and that it is out of their hands but *** received no correspondence from any collection agency. I just need them to work with me on releasing 2 official transcripts to my 2 schools. Its the least they could do for THEIR ERROR. I cant pay the balance off if I cant get a better paying job because I cant officially graduate without these transcripts

I am rejecting this response because:

I still have not received any correspondence from Rasmussen regarding this. Their response to my complaint was very generic and not helpful to finding a solution to my issue.

I am rejecting this response because:

No one contacted me regarding this issue until AFTER Rasmussens latest response, contrary to what they said. Only one phone call from ***********************, whom *** tried to get back to but did not hear anything, and one phone call from the campus director whom was not able/willing to further help me the last time she emailed me (the most recent time that I requested transcripts). I am now requesting someone to EMAIL me and tell me what forms and whatnot that need to be filled out. Email is a better form of communication for me so I do not forget anything that we may discuss.
