      My husband and I have been with Spire / Blaze for 29 years. We have never had an issue. We were pre-approved for an auto loan on 1/11/24. It took us a month to find the right car. I contacted the gal that pre-approved us. She immediately replied back and said she was no longer with that credit union, but gave me info to contact someone else. Of course it was late on a Saturday, and everything was closed. I submitted everything I could via email. At 8:30 Monday morning I called the number she gave us. Got Jennifer on the phone from Blaze. Within twenty minutes or so, we had the loan documents to sign via email, and within an hour of originally placing the phone call, Jennifer called us back and the check was already printed and waiting for us at the branch! AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! I am not a review person AT ALL, but this was an amazing experience once again! Thank you Jennifer and Blaze!!!!!!!!!

      I was wrongfully charged by a streaming service numerous times resulting in an unknown overdraft, tried to reasonably comply with customer service on the mixup, even got my refund and paid this institution all refunds from the streaming service and they are making me pay off overdrafts that I didn’t even cause! Took them weeks just to get back to me and tell me there is nothing they can do but take me money. Blatant stealing from customers is very frowned upon blaze credit.

      Horrible customer service and business practices. They provide you with inaccurate information to submit total loss claims and then hold you accounts hostage due to their own incompetence. Insurance submitted settlement documents via email (which I had been told was their preferred method); however after Hiway claiming they never received. I hand delivered to their St. Paul Office location. Their loan officer, Mr. K. Yang, gave me a whole slew of excuses as to what may have happened with admitting any liability. Some of which include, "their MNIT team filters through their emails and deems what is relevant and what isn't" and "they only except documents via fax". currently have 2 other loans through them which were all handled over email, which completely discredits Mr. Yang's statements. Today 11/17/2023 they have frozen my accounts, so I can't make timely payments on my other loans I have through them, feeling like they are forcing my loans into default, and ruining my credit. I was recently deemed disabled, and find this behavior unethical, disgusting and they need to make this right. A separate complaint has already been filed with the Attorney General's Office on this matter.

      A employee offered me a credit card said my credit was phenomenal and she thought I would be approved because my credit score had dramatically improved. Not sure if that helps her job or her promotion in any way but it gave me a negative hard hit on my credit and I got denied.DO NOT trust them!! They lied!

      When I had my auto loan with spire they charged me interest on my principal payment as well as my monthly( I paid 2x a month)
      Now with their credit card after I paid the monthly minimum they reversed it and charged me a late fee, but the payment did clear my bank. They are definitely scamming money

      The loan is question is a simple interest loan meaning, interest accrues daily. SPIRE believes this type of loan has key benefits for consumers because they can potentially reduce the amount of interest paid over the life of the loan if they choose to do any of the following: pay more than the minimum payment, make additional payments toward the principal amount or pay the loan off early. Our member initiated this specific payment in our digital banking platform and did not choose a principal only payment. When a non-principal only payment is processed, all daily accrued interest is paid with that payment.We have reached out directly to the member to discuss the specifics of her loan. We also discussed the concerns she has regarding her **** payment.

      Zero stars. The most archaic company ever. I am unable to pay off my car loan unless I have a bank account with them or I go to a branch location in person to use my credit card. I don’t even go to my real bank in person. I would never use them. Their services are terrible and they make everything difficult. I cannot wait to be done and move on, but I need to go in person to make that happen sooner. The money they spend on advertising should be used for their system enhancements. How are they in business?

      Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry to hear that you have not been satisfied with your service at SPIRE. You do not need a SPIRE account to submit your car loan payment. Visiting a branch is just one way you can submit payment. You can also use a non-SPIRE debit card on our loan payment portal, mail a check to us, or use your financial institution's ******** services to send funds to us. All of these options are explained on our Manage Your Consumer Loan page at ************************************************************************************** or you can call us at ************.       Even the response I received from my original complaint is a lie. Bottom line is I have to go in personal or mail a check to pay off my loan. Please stop pretending there are other ways. The Spire rep did not give me a credit card option. The response to my BBB complaint said there is a debit card option. The link Spire provided takes you to loan payoff page that explicitly says go to a branch or mail a check. Get with the times. At least the Spire rep I spoke to was not trying to lie. She just had an answer I did not like. This BBB response is a lie and did not make anything about my experience better.

      Worst customer service ever, they won't even let me pay off my loan on the phone. The directions the assistant manager gave me to pay my loan online didn't work either. All I want to do is pay my loan and they have made that exceedingly difficult. How can a banking institution not have a way to pay off a loan over the phone using a checking account? Insanity.

      This place is bad for business.
      Got charged double interest on my auto loan for supposedly not having insurance when they are actually the one that fell behind with updating my information.
      Which led me to getting a delinquency dropping my credit significantly for the second time. Which all I was told was to “call the credit company” as if I was at fault here.
      This place is unprofessional, customer service is slow and would not recommend this union.

      I recently applied for a personal loan and going on a month I have still not heard back. I've made several calls regarding the loan, spoke to a representative. They apologized for not contacting me. Then told me that they would in touch. I regret now that I applied for the loan because I now have a hard inquiry on my credit rating. My credit is good and I just recently paid off my car loan with Hi-Way. Frustrating!
