      This is the worst storage facility I have ever dealt with. We spoke with 3 people on June 23rd told them we were moving out our stuff and this was after arguing with them on June 23rd about our lock that they put on and then did not want to take off. Come today we get charged for the month of July. The first thing they told me was if I provided 30 day notice. No one ever told me that. Not even the so called facility manager ***** who stated he couldn't tend to us because he was at his other job and his bills were more important. Then I am told a supervisor would call me. No time provided as to when or what time. They can never give you any type of information. At the end of the day they knew we moved out on June 23rd never put it in there system we were charged and we are having a hard time communicating witb ANYONE to get this matter taken of. BEWARE AND STAY AWAY!!!!

      VERY VERY BAD PLACE They locked our unit, they are keeping our stuff hostage. Please stay away from them! This place is not trustworthy, They put their lock on our unit and wont take it off. We have $0 dollars owed to them.

      Were sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate the opportunity to provide context. At KO Storage, the security of our tenants belongings is a top priority. In this case, our Facility Maintenance Manager (FMM) observed that your unit appeared unsecured, with your lock missing and the door in the open position. Out of an abundance of caution, and after making several attempts to contact you, our team placed a company overlock on the unit to protect your stored items from potential theft or tampering.


      Its important to note that your account was paid and current, and the overlock was not placed due to non-payment. Our intention was solely to safeguard your property until we could confirm with you directly. Unfortunately, when you arrived at the facility, our FMM was hours away and unable to meet you right away. You chose to cut off the overlock and vacated the unit without further coordination. We regret the frustration this caused and would be happy to discuss the matter further if you wish to reach out directly.

      Rented a unit from them for years and I just got an email saying they are raising the rent from $64 to $114, that's a 78% increase. This site in not a site for long term storage.

      I am very disappointed in my rental of a Parking Space at the *********, ** KO Storage location. We moved our car here due to it being closer to where we needed it. We had it parked at this location for almost 2 years. We are from out of state, and don't visit often so we wanted a location with a gate, and cameras. However, the 1st time we picked up our car, it was COVERED in mold, inside and out. There were large trees hanging over the car, a mold breeding ground in humid *******. We spent hours cleaning it with Clorox and car washes. We had suitcases of cloths stored in the car as well, and had to triple wash *********** still have a scent. Then, this last time we came to get the car, 2 of our tires were slashed by a knife. There were metal things, glasses, a sink, other ****** all over the side of the car. We were told, when speaking to KO manager about a separate issue, that one of the tires was flat. We were prepared to have AAA help, but the air would not hold, so we had to get 2 new tires which took time and money. After MANY calls, over many days, the property mgr would not call me back. I was then told the District manager would call me. I never heard. Then I was told a supervisor would call me that day. Never heard. I called again was asked why I wanted to talk to the property manager. I said I wanted them to pay for my tires. I was told they would not because I did not have their rental insurance. I was instructed to submit a police report. Someone called and left a message asking when it happened so they could look at that time on the camera otherwise they would have to look through all the months. I called him back a couple days ago and left a message and have not heard back. I have no idea when it happened. I believe I did my due diligence and selected a storage unit that would prevent something like this from happening. I believe my tire repair should be paid for by KO Storage. I am very unhappy that they will not pay for it, nor return my calls.

      Hello *****,Thank you for reaching out regarding this matter. I do apologize if you reached out to me after leaving the message Wednesday 2/7/2024, as this call was missed. I have left another message today, 2/14/2024, to have you give me a call and or text if I do not answer. I will keep an eye on my phone. I am in the field with spotty service today and tomorrow. If I miss your call, I will call you back as soon as I can. In this message you stated that the vehicle appeared to have two slashed tires and you wanted us to review the camera footage and to be reimbursed. This incident was first reported on 6/2/2023. When the Facility Manager did her rounds, she noticed that 4 vehicles were vandalized by 2 masked individuals who jumped the fence. We did make several attempts to contact you regarding this matter at the time, both via phone and email. We have the footage from the initial incident, and we informed all tenants affected that we recommend they file a police report. Based on your gate activity of entering the facility on 1/18/2023 and then again on 1/30/2023, this would be the same incident. As for the comment regarding mold inside of the vehicle, being an outdoor uncovered parking space vehicles are exposed to these elements and can develop mold with the slightest moisture inside the vehicle if sitting for extended periods of time. I will continue to work with the Facility Maintenance Manager to ensure we are consistently keeping an eye on the safety and security of the facility.       Ever since this company bought the location at ****************, nothing but problems. First month with my contract, there system wasnt taking my debit card. I contacted my bank, card is up and running. They insisted it was my card. They told me to either use a friends card or buy **** gift cards to pay instead. I bought 3 $100 **** gift cards to pay my balance of 285 WITH THE ***** CARD ON FILE WITH KO STORAGE. I had to pay a **** activation for each card resulting in an extra 18 for this payment. Next month, my key broke in the lock. They kept giving me the run around, not following the contract which says to contact them and pay a 50 fee for new lock. Told me not to do it myself No property manager at this location. After 4 days, district manager ********************* finally gave me a call with attitude telling me he didnt like how I was talking to the customer service reps that didnt know how to help me. There names were ********* and *****. ABSOLUTELY NASTY EMPLOEYES Had no idea how to help me. I no longer had a photo ID, therefore there was nothing they could do apparently. Being extremely condesending and rude, hanging up the call or letting me wait on hold till it cancels **** told me to breach my contract, order a locksmith. I would not do that. I found out I can stick something in the back of the lock and push the broken key out so I did that. This company is online only, so there customer service should be TOP NOTCH I got off the phone with ****, the rest of the day I was getting weird emails and phone calls of people harrassing me Also random companies asking me to confim appointments and reservations They all had my info that only KO storage had. There was a typo in my name on my ko account All these places that had myinfo had the same typo. I proceeded to get the ip address of where all these appointments and reservations were coming from, what do you know. ********* The same state KO and there employees reside. Im cancelling my account, and taking legal action

      KO Storage in **** ******** evicted me after only two and a half months because the local manager reacted childishly when I was unable to meet his demand that I open my van, which was onsite, and speak with him immediately.I answered him through the door and informed him that I would follow his instructions after I ended a business call that I was in the middle of.I was immediately notified by corporate in ********* that my rental agreement was terminated. ** is based out of ********** *********, has storage facilities in several ******, and they run the place like the Mafia.Everything is automated so there is little to no local customer service, Their interaction with customers is ham fisted and they toss you out over the slightest infraction.KO cancelled my gate code and forcibly took possession of my belongings that were stored in a current and up to date rental by overlocking my unit with no court action.They act with impunity and are condescending and demanding.Only a m******** would willingly rent from them.

      Dear ************** and the Better Business Bureau,Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention. I had the opportunity to speak with ************** to explain the reason for the eviction, with the driving factors not included in the complaint submitted. On multiple occasions, gate access shows ************** staying on site from the hours of 6am 9pm. Several customers voiced their concerns, stating they believed he was living on site out of his camper van, and felt uncomfortable with his presence. Our local manager, *******************, addressed these concerns with ************** on October 26th, who admitted to staying the night on one occasion, but was ********** would not happen again. Four days later, on October 30th, ************** was found on site again, with extension cords running from his van to our electrical outlets. We addressed this with **************, who became belligerent to the point where we needed to contact the police. It was at this time that we decided to terminate Mr. ****** Rental Agreement. Despite the events that happened, we sympathized with ************** and his unfortunate circumstances. While we could no longer justify keeping ************** as a customer, we did refund ************** for Novembers rent. I have attempted to contact ************** since the eviction to see if more clarify was needed regarding the situation but have only received calls outside of typical business hours.       My son rented a storage unit from this company several months ago. Although the units were supposed to be protected by a locked gate after hours, one or more persons gained access to the facility and, using some kind of power tool, cut the entire locking mechanism out of the doors of five storage units, including the one he rented. A number of his valuable tools were stolen. The local KO manager refused to do anything to secure the unit following the break-in. This was a week ago, and the company has yet to offer any help or any type of compensation for the loss. He has now moved the rest of his items out of the unit, fortunately without further loss of his belongings. Neither he nor I will ever do business with KO Storage in the future. They simply don't care about their customers. If you value your belongings, avoid using KO Storage!

      Dear ********************:Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention. We are upset to hear that your sons unit was impacted by the recent break ins. This is an issue we take very seriously, and we will continue to work diligently with local authorities, as well as your son, to come to a resolution.On Saturday, October 28th, our local facility manager, ******, drove to the facility immediately after hearing of the break ins to see how he could be of assistance. It was at this time that he met with your son and evaluated the extent of the damage and walked him through the next steps for filing an insurance claim through *****. Whoever broke into the space likely used power tools to cut through the door around the latch, leaving us with no physical way to lock or secure the unit then and there. Understandably so, your son decided to vacate the unit just days later. Because your son was set up with autopay, Novembers rent was withdrawn automatically on November 1st. This charge has been refunded in full to the card on file.If you or your son have any further questions on the insurance claim process through *****, please do not hesitate to reach out.       This storage facility has been raising the rates of their storage units continuously without offering anything for the rate hikes. Theyre rude and unprofessional when talking with customer service. I do not recommend these storage facilities to anyone.

      I had rented a storage unit for several years and the owners sold the facility to KO. I pay 6 months at a time, but accordng to KO, I hadn't paid and owed them for 2 months. I told them that I was not going to continue using their faciltiy and the person I talked to acted like she didn't know what I was saying. I talked to another person a few days later and she gave me a totally different story, but still claimed I owed them money. The first person told me they would contact the previous owner to find out if I had paid, the 2nd one said they can't contact the previous owner. My storage unit is currenlty empty and I went to remove the lock and discovered they had changed the lock. I had finally gotten the district manager's phone number, but no response from him. He doesn't even live in the same state. Besides all this, they are price gouging. They kept the same storage rental amount, but added ***** administrative fees, plus $10 insurance, making the price 30 dollars more than what I was paying. I could buy a storage building for less than what I would pay them for a year. Overall, a very shady company. Stay far, far away from them. If you already have a unit with them, get out now, while you still can!

      Very unprofessional experience so far. Moved into a climate controlled unit in March with plans to stay for 2 years. 2 Months in the indoor building starting smelling of strong smoke and urine. No attempts have been made to remedy the situation and we are left trying to decide if we risk our stuff smelling of smoke too, or have to pay movers to move. In response to us asking for help, the only thing theyve done is raise rents by 30%.
