The U.S. Bank app doesn't work sometimes. When I called about one of the issues, a customer service person said to just uninstall and reinstall it. Knowing that customer service departments can give messaging as directed by the corporate office, I wonder if the corporate office knows it has problems and doesn't have any intention to make it better and expects its customers to run hobbled, if you will.
Also, a different customer service person falsely told me that my debit card would always work. That means that when it didn't, I faced a serious problem because the nearest U.S. Bank branch is more than an hour from where I live. If there wasn't a Maverik close enough to where I live so I could fuel my car to travel to a branch, I would have not been able to have made any purchases during a long weekend.

Poor customer service. Bank rep was with another customer, asked me to wait a few minutes while they finished. Then he could meet with me.
I waited 15 mins, then asked bank rep how much longer until he could meet with me. He said “one more hour” I said, “why didn’t you tell me when I arrived that the wait was 1 hour and 15 mins?
He waived his hand in the air like he was swatting at a gnat and said “I’m busy”
This is the typical treatment every time I go to a US Bank branch in Long Beach, or PV.

      Rude, dismissive, unhelpful.

Called branch manager (Jason at signal hill,CA) to make appointment to open business account for a corporation. Jason told me what documents he needed. I emailed the documents and brought physical copies to the appointment. Upon arrival he announced that they don’t offer business accounts.
The next day I called Jason’s manager. The manager reported that Jason lied to her about why he refused to open my account- Jason lied and told her he couldn’t open it because it was an LLC and he didn’t have the paperwork. She also commented that she frequently has to go to the branch to donJason’s job because he won’t, but that US Bank seems to favor keeping poor employees instead of firing them.

Second time- the manager over Jason set up appointment for me to come sign documents. Manager gave Jason all the paperwork and instructed Jason that he simply needed to have me sign the documents. When I arrived, Jason refused to have me sign documents. I called his manager. I hear her very loudly telling him that he needed to do his job. He then allowed me sign to the papers.
I submitted a complaint to US Bank, but Jason was still working there months later. Incompetent and lazy - ALL the qualities that will get you a job at US Bank.
These are just a few of many, many stories.
Their online banking system always has problems it is offline, won’t synch with my QuickBooks online, the shared access for my bookkeeper never works.

I have been with US Bank for over 20 years as a business and with personal accounts. I do love their online access. My local branch is "temporarily" closed, due to covid I'm assuming. So I go to make deposits for my small business to find they are closed and I can either use a branch 60 miles away or use online banking. So I try something new and deposit online, only to find out I will not have access to my funds for 10 days. So I call US Bank and show them that the deposit I am making has been made every month for approximately 20 years with no problems. 240 deposits. I ask them to release those funds quicker than it says so I can perform payroll. They inform me that the system cannot do that, doesn't matter how great a customer I have been. But if they hire someone new at the local branch, who doesn't know me from anyone else, they can bypass the hold and I'll have my money tomorrow. I am a software developer by trade, and find it hard to believe that at some level at us bank someone does not have the ability to override a hold on funds. I was searching on US bank and found a few articles from them on loyalty. What a joke. If 20 years isn't loyalty and deserver some loyalty in return then I do not know what is. Their bank is closed, I used their option to continue banking, and they screw me over. On the other side, when I pay my employees, they take a picture of their check and the funds are gone that night and they aren't even members at US Bank. So if you are looking for something long term and can have some loyalty, this bank is not it. I cannot believe at this point in my life I have to search for a new banking solution.
