      I have had non-stop issues with Xcel since starting with them. I have 2 properties on one lot and none use Gas although I have a gas meter from the previous owner for both properties. I called to put in a request to remove the meters in June, then never heard anything from them. I called multiple times to follow up and some said they saw the request, some said they didnt. Meanwhile they were still billing me for these meters that I had requested to be removed because they were no longer in use and hadn't been for over a year. I finally had enough and sent a scathing email to the building department to go out and remove them pronto. They removed them 2 months later. No the problem is trying to get them to reverse the charges on the gas meter "rental" for the time I spent waiting for them to remove it. They keep telling me that they see the request but that it takes 30days for accounting to review it. It been 30-days and nothing, my bills are all over the place, I have no idea which is which and when I call in the agent says the previous request was cancelled and he re-issued the request and now I have to wait another 30-days for accounting to review it. There is no notice of why or when the request was cancelled but now im at the back of the line, again. Of course, there is no number for them no email nothing, just the trust of the agent you spoke with hoping they did it correctly and actually submitted it, unlike every other time before. At this point I have over $7 in credits that I am waiting on and have no idea when I will see it or get it back or If I ever will. Joke of company and completely monopolizing the system and trying every tactic to avoid reimbursement. The agent even started pushing me to hang up because she didnt want to help. Im sorry, but I am your customer you will speak to me and help me until this gets resolved not when you would like to.

      garbage company - garbage service - **** is the only useful person at the company - I give **** 5 stars - everything else is 0 but i am required to give one.

      This company has the worst customer service ever. They do not know what is happening with their own company in the field. I depend on my electric service to work daily from home. Not only did they plan an outage for my area in order to accommodate new construction (oh gee a new person they can bill) but they did not notify us of the outage so I could make other arrangements for the day. Suddenly the power was gone. When I asked the workmen what was happening, the reply came, "you should have been notified". But I wasn't. After several more calls, the customer rep told me, "we called you this morning". My cell phone was given but there were zero calls to my cell that morning. Several days prior to this, workmen entered my fenced backyard where our dogs are kept without my permission or knowledge. This company doesn't care about its customers, only getting paid. Money makes their world go round. Please God, give us a utility company who cares about the service they provide.

      Terrible monopoly that makes up pricing whenever they want under the guise of "heat waves in the south" or "you used a lot of A/C this summer"My habits have never changed. They're a bunch of con artists who have gotten comfortable with ripping people off for far too long. That's why our community is creating a solar energy project so we can cut the cord on them once and for all. It's happened with cable monopolies once smart TV and streaming apps and mobile Hotspot came onto the scene....can't wait when it's Xcel's turn. We're going to throw a parade while I pass on my last bill from them.

      Horrible customer service. They do not care. Our AMP increased 58%. This year. 105% the last two years. According to Xcel reports we use less energy than other comparable homes. It just does not make any sense. Wr are senior citizens on a fixed income so it is hard to come up with an extra $66 per month. The guy that I talkef to had the audacity to say that he has to pince pennies also at times. I told him that we have watch expenses all of the time.

      Canceled my service online and on phone after I moved, charged me again the next month, called and got that bills is for last month's this is the last ****, so I paid it. Got billed again the month after called in again navigated the menu to billing and payments, no option fit my issue so I waited for operator, told her my issue, she responded "is this an emergency? I said no she hung up. This was at 6pm not exactly crazy late for someone who works to have to take care of these kind of calls.

      I was promised a 10 dollar credit it on my current because excel used my old bank account to try to withdraw my last months money. I had clearly given them my new account which they did have in their records. While its only 10 dollars they had promised the credit on the current ****. When I called they acted like I was trying to pull a scam or something. I do like to think that a company will stand by their words. Not excel apparently!

      We have had Xcel Energy for the past 13 years at our current home. We lose power at least 3-4 times a year for many hours at a time. The two most recent: 38 hours and **** hours (and counting). No timeframes have been given for this most recent event, we have not seen a truck yet and we are **** hours in. The customer service is non-existent if you need actual help, they are told nothing that can help you in an outage situation except Stay away from down lines. That does not help when it is 90 degrees out and our freezer is full of meat. If I could pick my electric provider, I would go with anyone else. Xcel Energy has shown our family time and again that they do not care for their customers.
