I bought three nixplay photo frames over the past few years (two were gifts).. they were advertised as free unlimited photo storage.. now, theyve changed that to a yearly subscription which I will not be paying for. You cant advertise and sell a product with free capabilities, and then turn around and sell a yearly subscription to be able to use the said product. I would have never bought these frames if I would have even dreamed nixplay would turn around and lock up my frame unless I pay a subscription fee. So now my family (to whom I gifted the frames) and myself are stuck with expensive, useless photo frames. Absolutely so unethical.

After purchasing several photo frames that were advertised as unlimited storage, Nixplay has unethically "downgraded" my user status and is forcing users to pay an annual fee to receive the advertised storage. They have decided to "downgrade" their existing customers for already having done business with them.I have contacted *******, and have not received any resolution. This is a blatant case of bait and switch. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH *******.

******* pulled a bait and switch in which it changed its policies after purchase, requiring a subscription for previously free features. I've spent over $500 on multiple frames and they're basically expensive paper weights now. The cloud service was free unlimited photos and now it's half a gb! Nixplay locked my photos and I can't change them unless I pay even more money! What a scam! I would have never bought this product if I knew it was changing to a subscription service. I'm asking the BBB to investigate and require Nixplay to honor its original terms.

After purchasing the product and using it for many years, they blocked me from using it unless a pay a subscription fee. This was a promise broken. Don't trust these guys.

I am extremely disappointed with Nixplay's recent policy changes. After purchasing the photo frame, the company now requires a subscription for features that were previously free. This is unacceptable and feels like a bait-and-switch tactic. ******* is essentially holding my photos hostage, demanding a subscription to continue using the product that I already paid for. I purchased this product under the promise of free unlimited photo storage, which is now a false claim. I urge the Better Business Bureau to investigate this matter and require Nixplay to honor its original terms.

They removed functionality. now it won't work with ****** Photos unless you pay monthly fee. Not the product I paid for anymore. I've complained, they never even acknowledged my complaint after 1 week.

*******? How about ******!?!?! You cant advertise to upload free unlimited photos and then change your mind and start charging your customers a yearly maintenance fee. I have bought 3 of these frames over the years and recommended them to family and friends. Came home from my daughters dance recital today and went to upload photos from the show only to receive a message saying I would have to upgrade my package in order to add more photos. Unbelievable and not ok. If you want to charge a fee for your new members who purchase a newer model frame I understand that but you cant hold your original customers accountable to this BS.

You can share anything with any frame that you are connected with (Parents, Grandparents, Mother in Law) and that will not affect their storage. So, in short, "shared content/albums, etc. Are not counted on their storage). They can remain on their free basic accounts if they wish.Basic is up to 5 frames. Lite and Plus are up to 10 frames.

I bought this frame years ago under the premise that I would be able to share pictures with my parents who live several states away. Now I am being told that I won't be able to share any more photos without paying a yearly fee of $25+ and they are taking away the photos I have already shared. I never would have purchased this product if that were the deal to begin with and now the frame I spent money on is unusable without paying this yearly fee.

Bought a Nixplay digital photo frame for parents and for in-laws, specifically because it let you sync with a ****** Photos album. Now they've retroactively changed the **** and are charging $30/yr for a feature I've already paid for! Do not trust them or buy from them!!!

We do regret having to update our terms of service due to unsustainable storage and bandwidth costs. We do pay to be on their servers, substantially. It is not free.

Nearly everyone in the storage and bandwidth industry have been forced to do the same, such as ****** Photos, Amazon Photos, ***** and ********* Who all now either charge a monthly fee or in ********* case will now delete videos after 30 days. All Digital Photo frames will be adopting this subscription model in the future.

We do have to pay substantially for bandwidth.  Piping the videos and photos between mobile to server to frame and to shared playlists etc. It has not gotten cheaper unfortunately.

We do still offer unlimited cloud storage, but we never advertised it would be unlimited for free for a lifetime.

As others have mentioned, I bought the frame, which cost much more than competitors and had no subscription fees. Now they are changing the context under which the frame was sold. I'm fine for this option with NEW frames, but not for those who have already purchased. We should be grandfathered in to the original plan. They also claim this is being done to cover the rising costs of cloud storage, however, they also say they will NOT delete our content, just prevent it from being shown on the frame. This seems to me to completely invalidate their reason for doing this. They definitely lost a customer here and I am telling every one I know to avoid this company!!!
