    I recently had a service visit from Blue Ox Heating & Air New Hope MN, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I feel compelled to share my encounter to warn others about the company’s practices.
    Misrepresentation of Charges:
    When scheduling the appointment, I was informed of an $89 service fee. However, I also mentioned having a “Free Service Call” coupon, which the representative assured would cover the visit charges.
    To my surprise, during the technician’s visit, I was unexpectedly charged $260 without any prior disclosure. This blatant misrepresentation is unacceptable.
    Lack of Transparency:
    The technician did not discuss or disclose the $260 fee beforehand. Transparency is crucial in any service transaction, and the unexpected charge violated that principle.
    I was led to believe that the Free Service Call coupon would cover the visit, but clearly, this was not the case.
    Unauthorized Signature:
    Upon reviewing the invoice, I noticed that the technician had signed on my behalf for the terms and conditions.
    I was not given an opportunity to review or ask questions about the invoice before the technician signed it. This lack of transparency is deeply concerning.
    Minimal Work Performed:
    The technician’s brief visit consisted of running a couple of checks and making a recommendation for a new unit.
    Such minimal work does not justify a $260 fee. It feels like a blatant money grab.
    Feeling Lied To and Deceived:
    The combination of misrepresentation, lack of transparency, and unauthorized signature has left me feeling deceived.
    As a customer, I expected honesty and fair treatment.
    In summary, my experience with Blue Ox Heating & Air New Hope MN was disappointing. I urge others to be cautious when dealing with this company. Their unethical practices and hidden charges are unacceptable. I hope my review helps others make informed decisions.

    Angel stands out *prominently* to me as one of the best technicians I have ever encountered in the customer service arena. He has been out to service my furnace multiple times now, and he has *always* impressed me with his friendliness, his compassion, his diligence, and his happiness to share knowledge.
    When my A/C stopped cooling the house effectively this summer and I called Blue Ox regarding this project, Angel came out to diagnose. I had already done my own due diligence within my capabilities, and had researched the symptoms and potential diagnoses. Angel ran me through his troubleshooting process, helped me understand exactly what was going on and why, and gave me valuable knowledge that I can use when facing issues like this in the future prior to calling for service. When he determined that the A coil needed to be cleaned, he explained to me how I might be able to do that work on my own to save on repair costs, and made me aware of the important considerations to keep in mind when doing so. When he went to take off the furnace cover and we realized that due to the lack of proper clearance around the furnace when it was installed and the placement of the coil within it the work of cleaning the coil would be vastly more complex, he broke the news to me gently and compassionately, and he felt like a *partner* in trying to find options for me. And when I had difficulty getting financing approval to have the work done, he kept pulling for me and cheering me on.
    I have *never* seen another technician who shows more profoundly that he truly cares about his customers. I hope Blue Ox realizes what a priceless gem and a truly rare asset they have in Angel. Having managed techs before, this is the kind of employee you hold onto for dear life and invest in cultivating. They should be very proud to have him on their team: I know I certainly would.

    Technicians have always been top notch. Polite,courteous, and professional. The office staff is generally good but sometimes a little confusion exists there.
