I warn you! Do not hire this company. We were pressured into fixing our shower faucet unless we payed the $89 service fee. Then we're talked into a $120 "membership" fee to reduce our cost. $830 to replace a shower valve?!? I'm embarrassed that we agreed to it, but want to let others know to absolutely stay away from this company. Unfortunately, I know we will never get our money back. Find an honest and trustworthy plumber instead. AGAIN, I WILL REPEAT, STAY AWAY FROM PAUL BUNYAN PLUMBING!Paul Bunyan Plumbing, LLC

They are a scam, plain and simple. I was in a bind with a floor drain that was backing up, so I looked through the coupon book and found these guys for a $99 drain cleaning. The lady who answered the phone was nice and made me feel cared about. Their guy was able to come out within a couple of hours. This is where the good ends. He immediately tried to scare me that my water heater will blow up and go through the roof if I don't replace it because the pressure relief valve had a minor drip. He stopped trying to sell me a new water heater when I said I will call my home warranty company to deal with it (they subsequently replaced the valve and assured me it's fine otherwise). Then we tried to get the floor drain to back up again without luck, so he offered to run a scope down the line to see what's going on for the same price as the drain cleaning coupon. That's a great deal, but it's just another way to scam customers into spending thousands of dollars. He immediately was telling me how terribly calcified/rusted my sewer pipes were, but honestly, they didn't look that bad to me. There was nothing stuck on them anywhere. So when we get to about 100ft, which is probably almost to the city sewer by now, there is some water pooling and a possible obstruction, or it could be the Y that goes into the city sewer. He did not want to spend time looking at that or trying to get past it and quickly started pulling back the scope, then wanted to sell me $8300 worth of drain milling for 7k if I agreed to it right that second. No way! I could get my yard dug up and the whole line replaced for that money. If there was a collapsed pipe, milling wouldn't even address the issue. I've worked with someone else to scope a sump pump line before and that guy actually tried to investigate any obstructions, encouraged me to take photos of his screen, and then located the obstruction for me above ground. Bunyan uses these coupons and scare tactics to scam women and elderly out of thousands.Paul Bunyan Plumbing, LLC

I have owned 6 homes in Mpls. I have had many interactions with craftsman, plmb, electrictions, etc.
This was one of, if not, the best overall contact I have ever had.
I called to get an estimate on a hot water heater replacement. Dave came out the same day I called and what a very nice young man. He took his time while I showed him, not only the heater but some piping replacement issues. He listened and then we sat down and he worked out a number. Was very resonable and then he surprised me when he said "I can do it today."
I agreed and he got to work. An associate showed up and the job was soon done. He advised me of a policy where they give some added perks for first responders and veterans, of which I am both. What a wonderful thing for the company to provide.
There were some issues with old piping and the vent cover on the roof. Before he fixed them he made sure I knew what he was doing...showing me the issues. Kept me in the loop thru the whole replacement.
Again, I have to remark on what a nice young man Dave was and he knew his stuff.
Will call Pau Bunyan again for futher projects --and of course ask for

Ripped off my parents
Told her a non leaking pipe needs replacing saying " I can get someone out today" omitting the cost of the " service fee" the 2nd person stated basically that if it aint broke dont fix it. Yet they still charged her a fee...
Additionally they told her that a 12 yr old water heater needs replacing soon

My go to Plumbing service. Recently had a pipe liner put in my mainline. Paul Bunyan Plumbing uses A-Z Undergound, LLC. Work was completed quickly and clean-up was also taken care of. Very satisfied with all of the employees I worked with, as ell as the cost. I specifically requested a plumber with experience with Under sink RO Water Filter system expertise. My tech did not have much experience at all. He found a cracked water shutoff and replaced it and replaced the tank which I bought. He said I should be good. I am not, the problem was not fixed. Also your prices are really high! And your policy about addressing after service issues stinks. You want to charge me $89 to come back to fix something you didn't fix???
I will never use Paul Bunyan again. I will also never refer you to friends, colleagues and family who need a plumber. NOT HAPPY!Paul Bunyan Plumbing, LLC

Needed a specialty plumber to look at a potential issue, and Paul Bunyan sent Joe. I could not have been more impressed with him. He was knowledgeable, and he clearly knew what he was talking about. He thoroughly walked me through all my options, and I never felt that he was trying to pressure me into any particular decision.

Paul Bunyan/Blue Ox has been double charging my credit card for their "subscription" service. Yes, I am (was) a member of the Paul Bunyan subscription program but then Blue Ox Heating (a company I have never used nor subscribed to) also started charging me every month. When I complained, they would issue a refund but then recharge my credit card a few days later. Eventually Mastercard said my only option was to cancel the credit card. If you are a member of Paul Bunyan's subscription service, please check your credit card statements to make sure that they are not double charging you -- once as Paul Bunyan and again as Blue Ox.Paul Bunyan Plumbing, LLC

Paul Bunyan did not provide the services they said they would. I had a coupon to waive the $89 trip fee. I called and they said for $120 I can have an inspection, hot water flush, and 15% discount on work, senior discount 20% on Wed, and $89 trip fees waived for one year. I knew I needed a toilet repair, shut-off valves replaced, and tub spout diverter replaced, so did not really need the inspection but was interested in the hot water heater flush, discounts and waived trip fees. I asked if work would be done (at least the shut-off valves and water heater) on the visit and they said yes. When the plumber arrived, he was not prepared to do any work. He looked at everything and gave me estimates. He said I needed a new hot water heater and to flush it may cause problems. He told me it was at risk of leaking and I should shut off the valves anytime I left home. I have not had any problems with the hot water heater, this was based on the age and one small spot of corrosion. So for $120, all I got were estimates. I asked for a refund and they said they had provided the inspection. I did not dispute that, but that was only one part of the services they had said they would provide. I would have just paid the $89 trip fee had I known this in advance. In addition, the quotes were high. The quote for the hot water heater was about $2200 and today there is a coupon on the website for $1400. The valve shut off quote is for $1375. The quotes show no transparency, so it is not clear where any discounts are being given. I had another plumber come out with free estimates and was quoted under $400.
