  I had McQuillan come out for an annual check on my boiler system (new in 2011). The tech quickly stated that my flue was reading over 500ppm of CO (I never saw the readings). He said there was no chance of repair and that the only solution would be to turn the heat off immediately and to send a salesman out to quote me for a new boiler. This tech made multiple appeals to the safety of my family and essentially used these scare tactics to believe I needed a new boiler. I had multiple CO alarms in the boiler room that had not gone off. Quote for a standard efficiency boiler came out to over $14,000! I made a few calls and quickly determined that this pricing was several thousand higher than it should be.
  Thankfully, I decided to have a second opinion come in for a new boiler quote. When that second company came in, he said that I absolutely didn't need a new boiler. Instead he recommended that a tech come out and do a proper check and maintenance. When the second tech came, he not only confirmed that I didn't need a new boiler, but also showed me that the flue was actually only reading 20ppm (totally normal). He confirmed to me that his measuring equipment had just been sent in for calibration in the last two weeks as well. He did clean and make some minor adjustments to get the reading down to 6ppm of CO.
  All of that to say, I do not trust McQuillan nor their ridiculous pricing. Do not be enticed by their $69 check up as they will use it as an opportunity to scare you into buying something completely unnecessary for much much more.

  Predatory pricing and ******** spent $5000 to have my radiators repaired. After following their recommendations for repairs, the problem was not fixed, and they refused to refund any amount for a job NOT done. I'm back to square one. I want to sincerely warn others about this company, they are not focused on the best interest of their clients, and you could walk away with a HUGE hole in your wallet, when you could have just called another company.

  We asked ********** to come out and explore options to provide a 240V power supply to our garage for a new electric car charger. We started the process in July and (hopefully) have finished having to call them (it's November). The staff were very unprofessional, speaking very differently to my spouse and I depending on our gender. We could not get any managers to call ** back when requested. Their work did not pass inspection THREE times. We worked mostly with the inspector and Xcel to apply pressure to get them to complete the work the way they should have in the first place. In the process, they attempted to instead a new meter to two other different areas, drilling holes in our stucco, only to remove them again to a third place (the spot I Xcel specified in the first place). The final breaker they installed was done poorly, and they had to come out to replace it only 2 weeks later because it wasn't secure enough to keep rain out (it's an outdoor breaker). We rarely received apologies, instead numerous attempts to place the blame on the inspector and Xcel (for their apparently too high of standards for electrical work). It was such a nightmare, so many days we had to reschedule or take off from work. We always had to be the proactive ones, connecting with Xcel and the Inspector for them. The Inspector had similar communication issues. They would never follow through without at least one to three reminders. I hope we never have to call them again. It was not worth the incredible stress it placed on us and still the fear that the work is done terribly lingers. It also sounds like so many people have been quitting and, from one of the workers, things are getting worse and worse at the company -- look for a different company with more stability and more knowledgeable staff.

  The unfortunate thing is that you had multiple opportunities to fix the error, but each time making it worse. We never received any compensation for our stress our time and the holes you put in our garage and house that were completely unnecessary. This is a year too late and still your apology is weak and insincere. We actively discourage friends and neighbors from working with you and this helps to solidify it.

  Sharing a recent experience with MCQuillan **** plumbing and heating. Based on my experience, Id 100% not recommend. Their salesperson was great, I chose them for my new furnace. They installed around May this year. Noticed gas smell when the furnace fired up, they sent a tech who checked everything and said I should call if I keep smelling it. Had one of their plumbers over a couple weeks ago to hook up my gas dryer. Great guy, expensive, of course because he had to redo part of my gas line. We noticed water in the furnace bottom and leaking out. They said theyd send a tech to look. Waited a whole Saturday until they finally called at 4 and said he wouldnt be coming. I asked if theyd give me some discount or something and the dispatcher thought I was crazy. Got a tech out for the furnace to find the leak and he showed me a photo of the taped broken tubing theyd used when they did the install that was leaking. I said this was pretty bad that they left this at install. He agreed to tell his manager. No call or word from manager. I still smell the gas leak, so they send plumber out with sniffer machine, manifold on new furnace is leaking gas, tech comes to fix. I call to speak with manager. Secretary says hes really busy but h*** call me back. 2 days have gone by with no call back. Ive thought all their workers were very personable, but shoddy work at install and incredibly poor customer service has me convinced not to use them again and share this.

  Tech arrived we showed him pictures of what we thought the problem was with the *** He then proceeded to go and just fixed the *** After he was finished he came up and told my mom what all was wrong with the ** and that he fixed it all and it would be $1900.00!!! WTH!!! What happened to the quote and asking if she would like him to proceed with the repairs!!! So no quote for my mom and he had NO PERMISSION to even repair the **!!! And my mom being a retired senior that's pretty **** hard for her to pay!!!

  ********** Bros. Cleared out 2 bathroom sinks for me. They had been out once before and cleared out 1 sink for just over $200 which I felt was fair. They charged me over $900 for the 2 sinks. I have now written or talked with them 3 times with 1 callback. ******* said I had received a good deal because normally this service would cost me $1600! $200 is the average cost in *********** to clear 1 sink. I have asked for reimbursement but have not heard back. Avoid this company at all costs.
