I had Marvin Integrity crank out windows installed in our new build and have had troubles ever sense!! The top and bottom of the windows itself and always full of bug nests! it's been a nightmare. I can hardly clean the windows because if I take the screens off and the dirt and nest products come in the house or when I open the windows the c*** will fall out and stick to the screens on the outside. This is so unacceptable to deal with.Marvin Windows

I built a new home and wanted to use superior windows and doors, so I went with Marvin. Three years have elapsed, and I am still unable to use my sliding door to the deck. I have contacted them numerous times and have been told 1. The replacement parts were sent last year (2022) and the case was closed 2. The door was a dud and has gone back to R&D for redesign 3. The rep will pick up the parts and them come and install them. Outcome: 1. They could not tell me to whom the parts were sent 2. The new design was worse than the first, according to the rep I spoke with, and they have reverted to using the old design 3. The rep went to pick up the parts and there were no parts there. The customer service rep I had been emailing with, *****************************, has not responded to me recently, so I sent a letter to the head of the company. Im not holding my breath that anything will be done. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company like the plague. I wish I could give them a negative rating, which would better reflect my experience with them.Marvin Windows

Thank you for letting us know about your issues. We have reviewed our file here, we find that unfortunately, the original parts were ordered incorrectly. But as you know, the correct parts have been reordered and are currently with our service technician. Our customer service personnel had contacted you on 4/15/24 and our service technician had also contacted you on 4/15/24 and scheduled with you the installation date of 5/15/24. We look forward to completing your job on 5/15/24 and addressing all your service issues.Elaine M

Marvin Windows did not reply until THREE YEARS after the original complaint was made. Now they are trying to make it look like it was a timely response. You will note that there is no mention made of the door going back to R&D for redesign. Nor, when I contacted them years ago, did they state that the wrong parts were ordered. Those parts were only listed as having been delivered and the case was closed. Parts were ordered this January after a visit by another one of their reps. **** time, they sent the wrong parts. The wrong parts WERE NOT ORDERED!! It was their representative who came to the house and looked at the problem and ordered the parts, and there is no way he ordered that the wrong parts. They are clearly trying to cover their extraordinarily poor service.Review fromLauren P

We ordered custom Marvin Ultimate windows and doors for our new build. The quality is atrocious. The interior paint was done incompletely. There are several areas of missing paint and lots of drip marks, plus debris in the dried paint. The exterior clad is missing pigment and there are areas where the clad is completely bare. The door panels on the exterior are wonky so the French doors appear wavy across each door panel. I'm shocked that this is Marvin quality now. I wish I could upload photos here.Marvin Windows

Marvin gets a - ZERO, installer gets +5 rating. We thought we were installing windows from a premier ********* company. Not so. We have had these windows (11 total) installed since the fall of 2020. They (10 of the 11) have been nothing but leaky ever since. We had a wildfire near our home in the spring of 2021. Once everything was done, we noticed there were ashes from the fire INSIDE on the track where the window slides. Window had not been opened since it was installed. Fast forward, during the winter months in *********, they were cold on the inside and you could hear the wind coming through when the wind blew about 30mph or higher. Marvin sent out a technician and he couldnt find a thing wrong, put some silicone on a couple of the windows, and left a handful of new weather stripping for us to replace. We spent this past fall documenting the air leaking including hanging toilet paper from the top of the window trim, having a candle burn to watch the flame and also took a video with the wind noise coming through and the temperature difference inside near the window and further away. All of this was submitted to Marvin. A different technician was sent out to verify the windows were installed correctly, DUH! Marvins response to us was, perhaps the direction that our home sits is not right for the windows which have a DP rating of -30/+30 (1 level home, built into a hill sits lower than the land around it) or you can have a third party come out and have the windows tested at our expense but Marvin has to have a representative present during testing. If something is found they will reimburse us for the testing expense. Mind you, it appears these decisions were made by three people. All we are asking is that Marvin makes this right, comes out when the wind is blowing and you can hear the noise coming through the windows. Then tell me nothing is wrong. You can bet if this was in a Marvin Windows employees home, it would be corrected immediately.Marvin Windows

Thank you for letting us know about the issue that you are having. I have reviewed your file here at Marviin and have contacted the service representative that was working on your file. We have been to your home twice to look at your issues with air leakage. We have reviewed your installation, and it seems to be good and the weather-strip is in good condition and we arent finding the air leakage that you speak of. We suggested that you contact a third party to perform an air test in your home. We told you that if the windows fail this third-party air test, that we would pay for the testing as long as a Marvin service technician was on site during the testing. We feel that we have done all that we can, and we feel that the air test is the next step. Please contact us prior to the air test, so that we can be there to observe it.Review fromJohan V

Building a home in ** with the WORST contractor you can imagine.Picked Marvin sliders for all the bedrooms and family room.2 of them simply won't lock at all and we have to put a 2 by 4 in the track to prevent it from being opened from the outside.Contractor failed to check if the sliders would actually lock once they were installed and it has been almost 2 years since they were installed. STILL not locking !! Contractor got a customer care rep to come out to take a look at them. ******* had a tool box to fix the issue. Worked on it for over an hour and left without letting anyone know the end result. The slider does not lock and can be opened anytime.Have not heard back from anyone at Marvin or from contractor. We also had some double hung windows but one of them was defective. Requested it to be replaced **** in order to finish the house but again : no response so we had to finish the house without that window and the damaged window was not used.Spent so much money for a lousy product and poor customer service !!!Both ********************** and contractor are worthless !Marvin Windows

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Definitely cannot recommend these windows. We purchased 7 windows and slider window in 2022. Nothing but problems with the windows. The installer has done everything possible to correct our issues. While condensation is normal and expected in the winter months due to high humidity, our windows sweat to the point the frames, sills, sash around the window and window pull are dripping wet on every window, not just the ones in the bath and kitchen area. All the Marvin's "tips" to reduce condensation have been followed and after 2 years, we are still fighting monthly to get an acceptable resolution. Not only is there moisture, there has actually been an inch of ice form around the bottom of the window and up the sides because the frames are so ridiculously cold which makes the demonstration of the thermal quality of the windows with the heat lamp and Freon which was shown before purchase not an honest assessment of the window purchased and in our opinion borders on false advertising. The high quality of the windows that was expected, simply was not delivered. We are obviously VERY unhappy with the return on our investment and seem to be hitting a dead end with Marvin Infinity.Marvin Windows

His review talks about condensation on his glass and the ice that has come as a result of that condensation. We understand that this can be a frustrating issue for a homeowner, but the windows cannot make water. Condensation is visible evidence of excessive moisture in the air. It may appear as water, frost, or ice on the room surface of windows and doors. The warmer the air, the more water the air can hold, which means that the air in the center of any given room will hold more water than the air adjacent to the window or door walls, since this is always cooler. This occurs more frequently during the winter months because of the extreme difference during the winter months, when the average outdoor temperature drops to 35 degrees or less. It would be wise to maintain a 25-to-30-degree relative indoor humidity. Ventilation is a very effective way to remove excessive moisture from the air. There are many wonderful websites that address condensation; all you need to do is search the internet for the words window condensation and you will find many helpful websites. We hope that he would review his humidity in his home to bring it to a lower level to reduce the condensation in his home.Review fromCarmen N

Original review Mar 10, 2021 Recently I had Marvin Essential fiberglass (supposedly) windows installed on the south side of my home. I had asked the salesperson before buying these expensive windows if there was any vinyl or plastic on the windows. I was assured they were fully fiberglass, so I bought them. Well, they aren't fully fiberglass. The top of every lower sash on every double-hung window is cheap, rough-to-the-touch vinyl as well as the center of the connector piece where two double hung windows had to be combined. I cannot understand how Marvin Windows could have decided on such a cheesy option for an otherwise nice window. I'm so disappointed. The salesperson says he "never noticed" the vinyl. Marvin Windows customer service is useless -- they don't even know their own product, and when I ask to speak to someone who does know, I'm transferred to voice mail and never receive a call back. I would NEVER buy Marvin again. Their product is totally at odds with their reputation for quality. There is nothing quality about that plastic garbage on these windows. And now, I'm stuck with having to put more of the same on the north side of the house. The only thing I can come up with to make it less awful, is to buy a high-grade acrylic satin or gloss paint in the same color, like *************************** Auro, and paint every connector strip and lower sash top to at least make that plastic seem more like the smooth, somewhat shiny fiberglass. The windows also came with screens that are awful! When the sun is on them, the visibility is very poor. The sales person told me that the better screening was not available on these windows. I'm going to re-screen with the better quality mesh. I have wildlife on my property I enjoy photographing, and you cannot take a photo through the cheap screening. And, lastly, there was silicone all over the exterior glass that I've had to painstakingly remove (am still removing). For what Marvin charges, I should NOT be having these issues!Marvin Windows

these windows freeze up in the winter, you cant even open a window when it gets cold out, the seal around the sashes leak air, freeze shut and started to grow heavy mold, the glass condensates and grows mold. i had a rep come out and told me its normal due to the humidity level in my house. i have a humidity meter and it ranges from 40 to 45% 99% of the times. i was told they had a bad batch of windows at one point. my green paint on the exterior started pealing and blistering so they sent a crew out to sand and repaint the windows. im so disappointed with these marvin windows and doors. id never use them again. *** owned several homes , stick framed, log and post and beam with ******** windows and never had any issues. i relocated to nh and there wasnt a local ******** dealer and the local dealer told me marvin was a great window so i went with it. i should of stuck to my guns and found an ******** dealer. i had an ******** casement window fog up once it was 8 years old, ******* came out and before i knew it i had a new window. i wish marvin would step up and resolve my problem because they look like they could be nice windows, maybe i got a bad batch or the guys who painted them messed something up. i wish i could post pictures. if anyone is interested in pictures please contact me ill email some pictures of molded windows in my childrens bedroomsMarvin Windows

They take every cheap route and there is no warranty. They have crummy installers. They promised a professional job but have damaged belongings, and used a hack saw to damage the overhead beam so the door would fit, otherwise it dragged across the floor. They improperly measured the door and did this to get it to fit instead of just owning their mistake and ordering a new door! The installer for the first part of my project who went against the grain with what Marvin wanted them to do with the door was apparently fired! I couldnt believe it! On top of which *** had to chase them down every time and my project went on for months. I was told it would take 2 days. That was last year and one of the windows was faulty and doesnt stay up. They are giving me the run around because the project manager cant fix it and wanted to order a new one instead but marvin kept pushing back telling him its cheaper to order replacement parts. The pm told me the window would have to be removed and that stuff would get damaged in the process but Marvin insists he try at the expense of me the customer so they can save a buck . Do they think I want a hole in my wall for months if something goes wrong? This was not a cheap project- 25k but the workmanship, lack of warranty, low skill laborers that follow the directions of the parent company even when clearly wrong, make Marvin a poor choice for any window replacement. I need to replace 8 more windows and refuse to go through them. Stay far away.Marvin Windows

Thank you for the opportunity to research the concerns brought forth within this review and to respond regarding those. Marvin is truly sorry for the issues this customer appears to have faced throughout their home project. We have completed a full review the customers file directly with the front-line Project Manager who was involved with the project. From our understanding, this Project Manager has been in communication with the customer throughout the entire process of the project and is actually scheduled to be at the homeowners location this week, on February 8, ****, in order to resolve the final outstanding issue of supplying new parts for the window that is not staying up as it should. Marvin had placed an order for the replacement parts for this window on December 13, 2023. This order was placed upon being notified that there was an issue with the window and after the opportunity to go to the customers home to assess what was needed to resolve the issue. It is further our understanding that the customer has been additionally compensated through financial means as well as through receiving new items for her home to replace the items that were slightly damaged during the project. We do, again, apologize for the issues that have been caused and have worked quickly to resolve the issue and to make this right for the customer.Review fromDD D
