Ive purchased Marvin Windows on two of my homes and recently spent over $60,000.00 on Marvins for a new home Im building. I picked Marvin because I was so happy with my past experience that I just assumed another good one. I was wrong. The wood finish on the interior side is just plain poor quality. The wood is so rough that it feels like 40 grit sandpaper. I appears like they didnt even sand it. It is nothing but poor quality. I would never get another Marvin product again and would never recommend them.Marvin Windows

I am a contractor Installing Marvin windows. Everything about the window looks good except the nail fin for new construction. These are the worst. The nail fin is not complete. The corners are open top and bottom (bottom is ok) similar to many sliding doors. Contacted supplier and was told there are corner pieces that are suppose to be installed but due to COVID they cannot get them. Not only that the fin are not attached there just a slot they slide in and there extremely loose. So when carry up a window 2 stories on a latter the fin just slides out. Told GC call someone else if these windows are being used on project. -1 star for installation practice 4 star for quality/paint of windowMarvin Windows

We appreciate you reaching out to us about your concerns about our products. There are instructions in our installation instructions on how to flash that corner without the unavailable corner tab. It instructs to use a 2 x 4 strip of flashing material at 45 degrees to the corner, bridging the gap between the nailing fin and to do this on all four corners. We hope this will clarify your concerns, and we look forward to working with you in the future. Thank you for reaching out.Review fromBeatrice D

On September 22 2023 , I left a 50% deposit on an order for a Marvin replacement patio door. the deposit was almost $3000.00.Three days later, Marvin canceled the order for unknown reason and assured I would get my deposit back.Three weeks later , after several e mails and Marvin assurance that I would be refunded,Marvin has still not returned the deposit. The transaction took place in ******** ******** with a Marvin replacement windows representative.Reluctantly , I had to open a dispute with my credit card company since no goods or service was provided nor was going to be provided as per supplier unilateral decision. My credit line has been affected negatively and I am faced with spending another winter with a leaky window as a timely replacement could not be found. It is unethical for a company to retain customer deposit for a project they have canceledMarvin Windows

We have reviewed our file here at Marvin and we find that there was an issue with the rough opening of where the new door was going to go;this issue caused the need for a custom sized door, which increased the quoted price of the door, at which time, the customer changed her mind on the increase in price of a custom door and she cancelled the order for the replacement door. We apologize for the mix-up with the refund of her initial deposit, it was not issued immediately, and the customer then went to her credit card ********************** and had that charge disputed and refunded. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused to her.Review fromSteve J

I bought 12 Marvin windows and 2 sliding glass doors, I'm not impressed with the quality of the product. The windows that open do not have security stops to let you just open a little bit to let in air at night. We also found while installing the solid windows that do not open that the middle of the windows were not the same as the top and bottom measurement. the middle of the window was 3/16" narrower. That is a factory issue for sure. I'm not sure how the sliding doors are going to seal during the winter with only one small seal on the outside of the door. They could of at least put double seals around the sliding side. They seem low rate compared to the expensive price. I really wanted to check out the product before I purchased but there was only one dealer in my area and they had very limited selection of anything. So my wife and I went 150 miles to another dealer that said they had a show room only to discover that they too had a limited supply. None had the sliding glass doors to look at. Don't buy Marvin windows until you can put your hands on one to make sure its the quality your looking for. I would not have purchased the sliding doors if I could seen them first.Marvin Windows

We are replacing all of the windows in our home with Marvin Windows. The contract with the installation company and subsequent ordering of the windows from Marvin was completed in May 2023. Marvin Agreed to deliver the windows to the installation company on August 14th with the total installation of all windows to begin on Sept 6.We were just notified last Saturday, that Marvin had shipped everything with the exception of the two primary windows for the Master Bedroom and the Living Room and had indicated that they would be shipped the end of September.Needless to say, this causes significant scheduling and disruption. There must be stucco work done before the windows are replaced and again after the windows are installed. Now we have to schedule two separate installations and stucco work. This is totally unacceptable... and I will be reaching out to **** Marvin in my disgust...Marvin Windows

Built a house and bought all Marvin windows and doors. Half of the windows needed to be resealed because they were not properly built. One of our doors (a large expensive French door) would not close properly once installed. It turns out it required special framing but the installation manual does not indicate special framing only typical framing. I went back and forth with them trying to resolve this for 10 months, all the while we were unable to use the door. Finally we had to tear out and reframe the door which cost us as much as the door. Marvin has done nothing to help resolve this and they are still billing me for the door. I call and email and no one bothers to respond they just keep sending me bills. If you are considering spending $$$ with this company and are expecting them to stand behind your purchase, you might want to consider purchasing elsewhere because in my experience they dont care.Marvin Windows

1 starWe requested a quote from Marvin windows for a replacement casement window. We had a virtual visit with a lady a showed her exactly what we needed. She asked if the window was on the first or second floor and we told her it was on the second. We also showed her the outside of the window. She gave us a quote. 2 days later, we received an email saying there was a new promotion and we could save $500. We accepted the quote, put 50% down and made an appointment to ***** a project coordinator come out and look at the job. The day after the appointment, we got an email saying that there would be additional costs. They would have to get scaffolding and replace all of the trim and it would be an additional $2400. The original bid should have included this. Is this price gouging or bait and switch?
