      On May 14, 2025, we were deceived into attending a presentation after receiving a phone call claiming we needed to attend a Hilton Grand Vacations update. At the event, we were promised a $50 gift card, which was never provided. Instead, we were subjected to high-pressure sales tactics and a series of false claims designed to coerce us into signing up for services with Options Travel.These misrepresentations included:Hilton would be dramatically increasing our maintenance fees imminently.This was our final opportunity to avoid thousands in new fees.Signing up with Options Travel would guarantee a full exit from our timeshare.They misled us into opening two new credit cards and incurring over $18,000 in charges. We were told we could cancel the cards at any time, that no one would be responsible if my spouse passed away, and that any undelivered services could be disputed. These claims were misleading and false.We were referred to an unknown entity called Vacation Warehouse and required to sign a transfer agreement showing a zero balance on our timeshare, which falsely implied that an official trade-in process was underway. We were told to provide ownership documents, ID, and maintenance records, only to later be informed they were not neededstrongly suggesting the process was never genuine.Our attempts to contact Options Travel during the 7-day cancellation window were unsuccessful. When we finally did speak to someone, they were unable to provide any services. In one call, a representative even instructed us to lie to Hilton Grand Vacations about our involvement with Options Travel, further confirming the deceptive nature of their operation.Despite repeated follow-ups, we received no legitimate services. Instead, we have been left with credit card debt, broken promises, and mounting frustration. We are seeking a full refund and formal action to hold Options Travel accountable. We believe this complaint should be made public to warn others.

      I continually receive calls to sell my timeshare. After numerous times of telling the business that I do not own a time share and remove me from their contact list, they still call me to get me to sell something that I do not own.Take me off of this call list and beware of this scam company.

      I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because:  Regardless of how many times I have asked to not be contacted this company (and others) have continuously harassed me about my time share.

      Since I do not have control over these contact lists that are bought by unscrupulous companies like this one, I need them to contact the distributor of this list and remove me from the original distribution.

      A 'sincere' apology is worthless.  ************ should be taken out of business for the constant harassment and endless phone calls.

      I realize that this company and others like it will continue to abuse people. They will only respond to threats that jeopardize their livelihood. 

      I will be seeking compensation thru other means. 

      While BBB  can only provide a platform for complaints,  only legal action will make any difference to these harassers.

      I paid based on the promise of them selling my time share. When I submitted paperwork they wanted more money and I asked for my money back. Never got it. Never used it.

      I was charged $14,000 for a time share cancellation through Options Travel Group. All they did was trick me into paying for a travel membership and tell me there are additional charges I owe to the lawyers who are actually going to cancel my timeshares. They got me approved for a CC and charged it, telling me that if I am still skeptical I can always despite the charges so its best to put it in my CC. This company is a ****! Do not do business with them!

      We attended what Options Travel said was an important meeting about critical changes in the law concerning our timeshares. It was not supposed to be a presentation, which it turned out to be. The representatives (2 of them) led us to believe that if we didnt get rid of our timeshare, our children would be stuck with them and be financially burdened with trying to get rid of the timeshares and would be sued if they opted to stop paying the maintenance fee. We are senior citizens and feel that Options Travel took advantage of us with nontruths. We signed a contract on January 16, 2024. They applied for two credit cards for us to pay the $13,895 left from the initial amount of $14,266. These payments started in March 2024.We have two timeshares, one with ******** in ***** (*******************) that Vacation Warehouse handled and did get it returned to the resort. But the other with Exploria Resorts in ********** (Gatlinburg Townsquare) has been bounced around from Lakeside Closing to ****. **** has not been responsive. When I call or email, they say they will get back to me. I completed all documents required for this transaction a long time ago. Another big issue for us is the Options Travel Group services. We told the sales representatives that we did not want to travel each year and was promised that we could skip paying for the membership fee on years we didnt plan to travel, but this apparently was not true, because they keep calling and emailing for the membership fee for this year. Im almost 71 years old and feel like my husband and I were lied to and taken advantage of in several ways.We would like to stop making payments on the two credit cards. We have paid plenty already for nonservice and lies. At this point, since we were misled and have been bounced around without responses, we do not care about continuing to try to sell our other timeshare or using their Options Travel Group services. We do understand the frustration in still being in your Exploria that was referred to Lakeside Closing and then Lakeside Closing referred your to MDIA. We have been in contact with both LSC and MDIA reviewing your file. ******** closing has stated they have not heard from you since September of 2024 when your paperwork was then completed. We are here to help in anyway we can so we ask that you contact your corporate office and we will be sure to address any of your concerns. To address your membership and not being able to travel each year. It is 100% true if you do not want to renew, move forward for that year and possible pick back up when you want to utilize your membership, you can.       I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because: 

      1) The response does not address the falsehoods that they presented to frighten us about our kids having to take on the burden of the timeshares after we are gone. I have since learned this was wrong, They showed us websites that echoed what they were saying. Very convincing. 

      2) The calls have not stopped from Travel Options, and the tone is threatening. We were assured that we could skip years without any penalty and only pay for the years that we planned to travel. 

      We still want to halt all payments for these services. As  I mentioned before, we have already paid entirely too much. ****, the company charged with closing our other property, is nonresponsive. We want to be clear of further obligations and forego any future services they offer.

      My complaint is ongoing and initially started 4/27/21. It has been well over 1 year since I have heard from Options Travel group. I paid $8325 for them to release me from my timeshare. They than transferred this contract to DVD ll Group LLC/DBA Options Travel Group which I assume is a subsidiary for them. They promised it would take 12 months, 18 at the most, to release me from my timeshare or refund my money if they were unsuccessful. I have several letters of correspondence to Tahiti Village written with their guidelines on the verbiage and sent by certified mail. I have done every correspondence they requested in a timely manner.

      When I signed the contract we had a audio rerecording done by Options Travel of the details including a full refund if they were unable to deliver. I still have this recording. When I called about getting this refund about 18 months ago in summer of 2023 I was told they would only return $300. They gave me the runaround even on this but as the recording stated we would get a full refund. I have copies of certified mail correspondence requested by my handler. I have dealt with no less then six individuals with Option Travel. I formally requested our refund with Options Travel on 4/4/2023, a full 2 years after the contract. On 8/17/23 I sent another letter straight to my time share, Tahiti Village, again requesting to be released from this contract.

      I continue to be ignored and given the runaround, It seems I can no longer get through to them. They are beating me down with this tactic and I was about to give up in frustration. My client number is 173933. Since absolutely nothing of significance has been done I would like the full refund I am due. I was willing to overpay for their services with the understanding if they were unable to accomplish this they agreed to return my payment. It would be great if they would settle this with me as to not further deteriorate their reputation.

      Good morning Mr. ****************** called your direct number yesterday but it went to voice mail. I did leave a message. The manager has been mislead about the lack of communication. For two years I responded to every correspondence sent to us and did as requested in a very timely manner. I have nearly every correspondence that took place over those first two years. We wrote what was dictated to us by your representative which were just a series of letters requesting the resort to please release us from our timeshare, nothing more. Your company did nothing else. Imagine how we felt when we realized you had no real inside track to complete the release of this timeshare. No one in there right mind would claim this was an $8300 value.  It's not even a $50 value. We were angry and felt cheated when we got bamboozled.

      Options Travel told my wife and I they could have us released from our Timeshare within one year, 18 months tops. If not we would get a full refund. After two plus years and making no headway I requested my full refund of $8300 by phone and written correspondence. It is now about four years since the date we agreed to use your services. I still have the verbal recording when Options Travel clearly stating we would receive this full refund if they were unable to successfully fulfill their obligation to release us from our timeshare. After I requested the refund no one ever contacted me again. This is when the correspondence was stopped, by you!  I contacted the BBB because I recently got a call from Options Travel again to be invited to another seminar/meeting to see if I was interested in relinquishing my timeshare. When I started to explain my situation the saleswoman abruptly hung up on me. When I immediately called back no one answered. I have continued to pay my maintenance fees and spent postage via certified mail every time I was instructed to write a letter to the resort. Clearly no amount of any significant work was done on your part to complete this service. Please do the right thing and refund our money so we can part on good terms. Thank you.

      You have stated that you have assisted with many ***************** timeshares but we question how many were actually successful for the timeshare owners being released. If your success rate is high we congratulate you. In the few cases where you were unable to achieve success such as ours we believe refunding us should not be an issue with the core values of your company and promises. You stated this service could take up to 3 years instead of the 12 to 18 months we were originally told. We want to point out that it's been nearly 4 years since we signed this contract, well beyond any time frame you have given.



      We were also told by our handler to continue to pay our maintenance fees which of course we did.  We followed all directions given to us accurately and in a timely manner. The directions were to write letters recommended by our handler and send them certified mail. We then send the receipts to him. We still have the letters and receipts. If we understand your letter below correctly you are now suggesting to forgo our maintenance fees to motivate the the resort to release us from the time share. We will not intentionally hold back maintenance fees because we would now put our credit rating at risk. This is something we could have done on our own without paying the $8300. It also would not be the most honorable way to achieve our goal. We were led to believe by your sales people you had contacts and inside knowledge of the business and law to legally get released from our timeshare.  This does not appear to be the case for us.


      We honestly still do not want believe you would charge $8300 to put ourselves in legal jeopardy.  The "front side purchase" is something that is new to us whatever that amount is. We were clearly told unequivocally we would be refunded the FULL amount of $8300 if you were unsuccessful with your service, which you were. What we expect from Options Travel is to honor their word. Please let's settle this in amiable fashion and send us the full refund of $8300. Thank you.

      There are a handful of ownerships that can be very difficult to get out of because they do not have any value, and the developer does not have an active deed back program for the owners.  We do know that ************** can take up to 3 years, and directions have to be followed by the brokerage the ownership is sent to.  In the time that it takes for OV to complete the transaction, the owners are not to continue paying the maintenance fees.  It takes them this long to take back the property, and they will only do so if you're behind on them.  


      I am definitely here to help every owner with their purchase and agreements with us and ultimately get the client out of the timeshare they purchased.   Our company has been helping owners get out of their timeshares for the past 13 years and I have been here for most of them.  In 2021 when you purchased with OTG the transfer agreement did reflect the fee would be refunded if not completed within 365 days.  


      The frontside purchase is not refundable after the first 7 days after the purchase, if you decide to have OTG process your refund for the transfer I can have that processed.

      Oct 3 2024 Concerning a meeting we attended. We met with ***** ****** and he asked questions about our time share , which we shared and he left and talked with someone else and said that there was really nothing they could do ti help. This was fine spent about an hour there but when he left that we should check our emails for a gift card reward for attending the meeting. As is today we never received this email as a thank you. I called the office number on the card and ***** said he would van look into it and still have not anything. I find the inappropriate on your side to just leave us hanging.       My salesperson was ***** **************. He gave me his direct number if I needed assistance. I attempted to call and contact him in December of 2023 and January of 2024. I wanted some assistance to file the paperwork to cancel the timeshare because I had a stroke and was unable to sign documents. He responded to me once. He said that he was in aspen on a ski lift and he would call me back but never did. I tried contacting **** ***** *************), Senior Director of Options Travel Group several times by phone and email and he never responded. They took the payment by having me apply for a loan and I found out that they ended up being credit cards. The APR was 0% for a year and at the end of the year the APR will go to 22%. I paid $20000 to them to get rid of my timeshare. I received nothing. They took my money and ran. I am a disabled veteran on a fixed income, and I feel like they pray on us.

      September 2022. I attended a presentation in ******** presented by Options Travel Group. Options Travel Group contracted to take over all obligations in regard to my timeshare and take that timeshare out of my hands. In Exchange for this service, I contracted to join Options Travel Group. ( I only agreed to join Options Travel because they promised to relieve me of my timeshare. ) September 2023. Numerous calls during the previous months to no avail. Options Travel had me send additional paperwork.September 2024. Several calls during the previous months. Still no action.Over 25 calls to Options Travel. I received nothing but excuses and false promises to fix the problem. I paid approximately $7600 to Options Travel. Options Travel has done nothing to bring me relief. Options has the power to issue a refund, yet refuses to do so. I cannot sale or use my timeshare until this issue is settled. However: I am still required to pay my yearly maintenance fee.

      I have heard the same response for the past 2 years. 

      ********* and ******* is the law firm that is representing Options Travel. 

      Options Travel took my money, did not deliver on our contract and refuses to issue a refund.  I am tired of the lies, accusations and empty promises.  I want a refund of my money.
