      On July 12, 2022, I met with ****** "Chip" ********** (Options Travel Group representative) at a hotel located in *******, ******* (I do not recall the exact location.) After filling out the initial questionnaire, I told ****** that I was not an Options member and that I was only there as the result of a phone call I received and made an appointment thinking it might be related to my Shell timeshare. ****** was confused as to why I was there. I told ****** that I had no interest in any travel or vacation companies. The only thing I was interested in was exiting my Shell timeshare. I told ****** that I had checked into legal firms that handle timeshare exiting and had been told it was going to cost about $14,000. ****** explained that Options worked with a Law Firm (******************************************.) and this could be an option for debt-relief from our timeshare. ****** presented us with a document titled Options Travel Agreement that indicated pricing information in which the bottom line was that we would pay Options Travel $10,700 and $1,250 directly to the law firm. Another representative, **** *********, joined us and talked some more. I entered into a contract with Options Travel wherein it was represented to me that I would get debt-relief from my current timeshare with Shell Vacations (now *******.) I paid $10,700 to Options and another $1,250 directly to the law firm (******************************************.) that was to be handling the legal side of this. I was advised that it could take ***** months before it was resolved. As of today, I have not received the promised debt relief from my ***** (Wyndham) timeshare. Options Travel has my $10,700 and has not met the contract terms. Ultimately, I met with ***** ***** and signed the paperwork. I entered into this contract with the understanding that I would be getting debt relief from my Shell timeshare. On February 8th, 2024, I sent a letter to the company asking for resolution. I am still waiting.

Our records reflect from M&N a settlement offer was provided, but an agreement was not made between M&N and yourself.       I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because:
      Options made the promise to me, on behalf of the law firm. Additionally, I was not to have to pay any additional money as settlement. In early 2023, I had conversation with Options representative regarding settling if I paid over $2,000 to *****. That was NOT the promise that Options made to me. In fact, the Options representative offered for the company to pay $1,000 of that. I spoke with this Options representative about the fact that I was not supposed to be paying any additional money out of my pocket. I suggested that options pay that settlement amount out of the $10,700 they received from me. That never happened. Options DID NOT uphold their end of the promise they made to me.

      I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because:

      I paid Options $10,700 because of their PROMISE that my timeshare would be settled. I would have never paid that much money otherwise. When ******* sent a settlement offer (beginning of 2023), they wanted over $2,800. This was a letter that Wyndham sent directly to me and not as a result of any action on Options' or the law firm's part. I eventually spoke with a woman at the Options corporate office about the settlement offer I had received and that I would expect that Options would cover paying the settlement out of the $10,700 that I had paid Options. The woman I spoke to at Options explained that they were having some "problems" with people who had been promised things (and that I wasn't the only one) and that the corporate people were meeting to figure out how to address it.

      She came back to me with an offer for Options to pay $1,000 (of the $2,800 + that Wyndham wanted.) I said "No", and that it wasn't fair for me to have to pay any extra money to resolve the timeshare matter since I had paid Options $10,700 with the expectation that I would have no further out-of-pocket expense. The right thing for Options to do at that time, would have been to pay the $2,800+ that Wyndham was willing to settle for at that time. (Options would have still had in the neighborhood of $7,800 free and clear and I would have felt like they held to their promise.) This is the part of the "problem" that Options is not addressing.

      Instead of resolving the issue in what I would have considered a fair manner, I have been passed around to different Options representatives and at least 3 versions of the "law firm" they keep referring to over the past couple of years. The only time anyone even responds to me, is when I send a registered, certified complaint letter or file a formal complaint.

      They are frauds they have not helped me at all exiting my Timeshare they.charge alot alot and trick you into signing for there travel group and thats really what you paying for. I had to hire legit people that contacts you and make you feel at ease

      Dear Better Business Bureau,This is our second attempt to file a complaint with your agency against Retreat at **********/Options Travel Group due to their unresponsive behavior, inability to terminate our timeshare ownership, and suspected fraudulent business practices.We learned that Retreat at ********** had bought our ownership from Options Travel Group. On May 9, 2024, we sent a cancellation request to Retreat at **********, outlining our dissatisfaction with the process. Yet, we've received no response.Our timeshare was sold to us in an informal restaurant meeting with Options Travel Group. We felt pressured into trading our ********* points for the timeshare, and we believe we were misled.Due to a confusing website and burdensome annual fees, we've never utilized the timeshare. Our numerous attempts to contact Retreat at **********/Options Travel Group for cancellation have all been ignored.We urge immediate cancellation of our timeshare and a full refund. We request BBB's aid in rectifying this situation

I believe Options Travel is a timeshare resell company so it is possible that they are in the process of transferring one of our current ownerships into your name but as of 9/19/2024 I have found no communication from Options Travel regarding this transfer.       We are not the Retreat at ********** and we do not do business with them as well. The Retreat at ********** was united with Lesiure Getaways. We are sorry that you have not been able to get out of your ownership with them. We do have a log that reflects you purchased points back in 2015 from the Retreat at **********.       I received a phone call regarding under the premise that the company will help me navigate and understand my BlueGreen Membership. While attending the presentation I was provided info. To opt out of my current timeshare. I expressed concerns about the nature of the presentation, because I am satisfied with my timeshare. After the presentation, I was suppose to receive a 6-night vacation. The associate explained that the getaway will be emailed. I never received the gift or follow up response.

      File with them in 10/11/2023. They claimed to get us out of contrasts with Bluegreen travel after our week already booked in July. Contacted them on July 19 2024 and they claim we would have to go ahead and pay this years maintenance fees that are not due until After Sept 15 2024.

      Options travel group got belligerent with us because we didnt believe his statements. When I said lets go he screamed sit your a** down!! and this was to a woman!! He was irate and looking to provoke a fight. I was going to call the police, but we left the hotel. Never ever want to hear from them again and warning others to stay away!

      8/7/2024 Company is cold calling individuals based on public records inviting them to a group owner's meeting, disrespecting the do not call registry and also calling back even after requesting to not do so.

      In April of 2021, a representative called us to attend a meeting regarding our timeshare. Once we arrived we found out that Options Travel was selling their vacation club Membership. During this presentation they boasted that they could rid of us of our timeshares and we could still travel the world at a reduced cost" They calculated the enrollment and transfer costs as $******* which they quickly opened up a Discover Account for the total amount. On April 20th (after the cancellation deadline) we received an email asking for a copy of the deed to our Christmas Mountain Timeshare. I called Options Travel and explained to the representative that I wanted to pursue our Wyndham Timeshare transfer first since we were paying a mortgage. I was met with resistance, and told that I needed to start with Bluegreen, but that a representative would be reaching out to us. I called the office numerous times and left messages to no avail. In 2022 letters were sent with no success. In 2023, I contacted an attorney who sent letters to the company on our behalf. In April 2023, A representative left a message for us to contact him (Mr. ******** we made several attempts with no success. We also reached out to Discover to dispute the charges but Options never responded to the request. I believe that we were scammed. None of the services have been delivered. I believe that this was a ploy to manipulate consumers into believing that this company could legitimately rid them of their timeshares. I believe this company was deceitful and took advantage of unsuspecting seniors. We have sent certified letters requesting assistance in this matter. We had no other recourse except to reach out to the BBB in hopes that our complaint would result in us resolving these issues and receive a refund for services not delivered. Our next step will be to contact the ******************************** for further assistance.

Your file reflects that we were unable to start the ******* transfer with a mortgage, however we did start the process of your Bluegreen transfer.       I have reviewed the business' response and I am rejecting it because:

      Talking to the representative appears to be a lost cause. He was rude and clearly stated that there is nothing he can/will do for us. 
      We have not received any communication from this company informing us that they were trying to reach out to us to complete the transfer process. We have not received any certified letters, mailings,  email notifications or phone calls from this company since our initial meeting and mailing. I saw in their response regarding not starting with our Wyndham Property because it has a mortgage. I don't have any information that stated what property would be transferred first. This plan of action was never explained in our initial meeting. I have not found this company to be  deceitful, uncooperative or helpful in trying to reach an acceptable course of action on our behalf. The representative was rude and appeared to be irritated with me during our recent phone conversation. I don't feel that this company can legitimately rid us of our timeshares but they are requesting additional money from us to resolve this issue. I feel like giving additional money will not guarantee that the process of transferring the timeshare will be completed. I don't feel confident that the company is legitimate with their claims.  There lack of transparency leaves me to question all of their motives. We look forward to a positive resolution to this issue.

      On August 3rd, 2023 my wife and I attended a meeting posted by Options Travel Group. The appeal was that they offered an exit strategy from a time share we had purchased while abroad. Listening to the presentation, the supervisor came to our table and informed us that yes, they could arrange for our exit from the time share. The process defined included that a legal service would contact us within 30 days to proceed with the exit strategy. We signed the contract and paid $8,295 which included a travel service with an annual ****** August nothing happened. We were contacted by the legal ********** September I called our salesman at home, and he suggested that we contact the legal service if they didnt reach out to us within a few ******** the best of my memory we waited until November, and finally contacted the legal service directly. I assume that we talked with a paralegal in the office, because she seemed confused about ending an international timeshare agreement. Nonetheless over the next week we put together the information requested and sent it to the law firm.Nothing happened. We received no further contact. I reached out to the customer service number on multiple occasions over the next few months, and talked briefly with someone trying to upsale me on a discount for renewal. But even with messages I have never heard back from the sales group.I did have one other contact with the original sales person who suggested that we request getting our money back.Along with several telephone calls I have documentation of emails. The emails came back as undeliverable in March and again on July 31st. The email address was given to me my the person answering customer service calls on their end.I am herein requesting the cancellation of the contract and a refund for the $8,295.

      I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because:

      1. The selling of the product was predicated upon a quick solution to the existing time share.  I was assured that the law firm would contact me within 30 days.  I did not hear from the law firm in the stated time.  I reached out to the law firm I believe in November as no action had been taken. I sent in what they asked for and waited.  And waited.

      2. Yes, the law firm did contact me about a week after I filed the complaint.  This was almost exactly one year after the contract was signed for the options travel program.

      3. Trying to reach options travel through email and through their own customer service line multiple times and leaving messages resulted in to response.

      3. I am not satisfied.  I would like a full or partial refund.  As I have extremely disappointed with the story was told versus what has happened I have not used the options travel service and do not intend to use it.

      I was originally contacted to get out of my Bluegreen Timeshare. I went to the meeting and was told that they could get me out of my Bluegreen Timeshare by transferring the remaining mortgage into Options Travel Group, there would be no recurring maintenance fees, and I would have access to the website and services without paying the yearly membership fee ($299) until I wanted to "book" a Travel...then I would need to pay the $299 to officially make the booking. They said the offer was only good right then. I paid them several thousand dollars, and they had me apply for a credit card in which the remaining balance of several thousand was charged. They showed me printouts of good reviews and A+ rating on BBB. They said **************** would be contacting me to make the deed transfer. Options Travel said I had 14 days to cancel. This is a problem because I didn't receive that credit card I applied for until day 11 or 12 and paid the remaining balance. The sales *** called every day asking for this charge info. The law group contacted me after the 14 day period, and I received their packet in the mail another 2+ weeks later. At over a month since the 14 day period started, and was still in the process. The Lawyer wanted additional $1,000 that was not mentioned which I refused and decided to cancel. I called Options Travel multiple times. The few times I was able to navigate the run around robot system and talked to a human, they said I had to contact a different person. They would transfer me. I also got the direct number from them and called multiple times. This number would mostly answer with a voicemail with no return calls. The few times a human answered, he said I had to talk to someone else. He never would give me the number, only transferred me which resulted in a disconnection or back to the original robot loop from the first number. It's over a year now, still paying for both timeshares (original is almost paid off). I can't even log into my online account.
