Obtained quote for purchasing and mounting two tires on my car. Since online quote, included a $10 discount. When actual charges received, was not given the discount plus charged $29.98 plus tax for a tire protection plan I did not authorize and was not part of the quote. Location has you pay and sign electronically before providing the actual breakdown of charges, so did not know until after I paid. The refuse to refund the overcharge or provide the credit promised.Business Response

Took in my vehicle to have it worked on. They replaced all the tpms sensors or said they did, they are still not functioning properly, I paid $432.80 they was supposed to replace, mount and balance both rear tires with tires I provided. They damaged one of my wheels and never said anything to me about the damage and tried to hide it like we wouldn't notice. I talked to **** the store manager he said he would have a wheel repair company fix the damage. I have not heard from or spoke to any wheel repair company. One of the tires they mounted goes flat every 24 hrs. The tpms system still isn't working properly. This is week 3 and I still haven't received any call or confirmation of when my wheel will be fixed or replaced. I spoke to ***** the regional manager, he spoke with **** and he called and assured me someone would be calling to fix the wheel. Still have not heard from the repair company. So I have a car I can't drive safely to get where I need to be. I need this vehicle to operate properly as they was supposed to fix it but it came out worse than when I took it in. I want my wheel fixed or replaced, and I want my money back. I don't want plaza to do the work as they are incompetent and untrustworthy.Initial Complaint

August 10th we went to the Plaza Tire in ******* Missouri to get a synthetic oil change. The process was complete and we felt no need to investigate the amount of oil in the car as they are supposed to fill it up.
August 16Th car broke down coming off of the highway with smoke coming from the engine and a small fire occurring before I could put it out. We had it towed to a local repair shop that is well revered in the area. We left and recieved a call later from the owner, stating that the motor is blown and the car is completely lost. I asked him how that could possibly happen and he stated that there was hardly any oil in the car. He told us that an inspection was done and there were no leaks when oil was pushed through and therefore, the shop must have put just enough to allow the vehicle to run properly for as long as it did. He wrote us a document stating what he had found and we went on our way. On August 18 we contacted the original Plaza tire for them to repair the damages and they denied all fault without any proof. We then tried to contact the main office and they seemed like they were going to help and said they submitted a claim and it was denied due to them not being at fault. However, when they went to inspect the car at the repair shop, the owner watched them look at the car for five minutes and then give back the keys, deny fault, and leave. We need help.Business Response

When we changed the customers oil the vehicle already had a check engine light and traction control light on. The customer claims that there was hardly any oil in the vehicle. If the vehicle didn't have a sufficient amount of oil there would have been a low oil light displayed on the dash upon the vehicle leaving our location. If no or very little oil was in the engine the car would not have made it across town before the engine would have failed. The vehicle traveled about 300 miles before the engine failed. It was reported to us that the vehicle has a cracked head and a cracked head can cause oil lose. According to all the information we have we put the correct amount of oil in the vehicle and their were no leaks found from the oil plug or oil filter. Therefore we do not accept the consumer's claimCustomer Answer

This place doesnt have a clue what they are doing, ruined a brand new set of wheels for me. scarred every wheel by putting too big of a socket in the lug holes, took a chunk out of one wheel, didnt check fit meant of wheels before letting vehicle off the lift and rashed both inside front wheels badly by dragging them across the struts. The employee even admitted he should of checked how the wheels fit, before letting the car down. Then proceeded to tell me that plaza keeps insurance for this kind of thing. Then the asst ******* wanted to argue with me that the new tpms sensors didnt need programmed. The asst ******* ********************************* is very unprofessional, even fallowed me out to the parking lot at an attempt to intimidate me to ask what I said. Which was that corporate would be let known about this.. basically told me they were my wheels and my problem. They did however wave the install fee, after ruining a brand new set of wheels. I wouldnt make this a big deal if they werent brand new wheels and how careless they were.Business Response

******, IL location
I was sold parts I did not receive and was charged double for those parts. I was also sold a part I didn't need. I have **** **** **** that I just put new shocks, tire rods, lower ball joints, etc. I got a $99 front wheel alignment. They called me and said they are having trouble getting the front end aligned, you need a cam adjustment. I didn't understand and I asked about the lower control arms. They charged me for 2 cam kits but they didn't use all of it. They should've just done the lower control arm. I picked it up and they said it would be about $45 for each kit. I paid and I noticed they only installed one cam nut and bolt. I drove the truck and there was so much movement on the front end, you can tell it was not aligned. The front left side was terrible. All they said was it wasn't like that on the lift. I spoke to Tommy the manager and he basically said I got everything I was paid for.

Our Manager claims all parts & services were completed on the customers vehicle that they were charged for. We would like to have the District Manager from the area meet with the customer to inspect the vehicle to see if all parts and services were performed as charged for. When would be a convenient time for the customer to meet with us?Initial Complaint

I took my truck into the shop located in ******** Missouri for an oil change and to get a free tire rotation. The company failed to do the tire rotation until I the manager that they did not do the rotation, they did eventually do the rotation, however, when they were finished my check tire light was on. The technician stated the light was due to the tire senors needing replaced, he quoted me $160.00 to replace 2 of them, I declined the repair and left. There were no lights on before I took my truck to this shop. I was later told by a family mechanic that the sensors need to be reprogrammed not replaced.Business Response

The customer states that their TPMS sensors just need to be reprogrammed. To reset the the TPMS tire light we used a TPMS scan tool that reprograms the system while checking the system . During the scan of the sensors the scan tool indicated that 2 TPMS sensors were not reading and required replacement. The customers vehicle is a 2009 model and the expected battery life for a TPMS sensor is 8-10 years. The customers sensors are 13 years old and have reached the end of their usable life. You cannot just replace the batteries because they are sealed inside the sensor, therefore the sensor must be replaced. If the customer still thinks their system just needs reprogramming they may come to the store and we will let them watch and view the TPMS tool as it scans the system and attempts to reprogram the sensors.Customer Answer

On July 29, My 16 year old daughter went to get a basic oil change at Plaza Tire Anna, IL when she was finished the total came up to $111, she called me to let me know why and she informed me that they were going to replace the air filter and the air carbon filter without her consent. After speaking with the guy that was talking the order, he told me that he don't have to listen to me because he is just doing his job. I politely asked him to put the old filters back in because we did NOT ask him to replace them. I will NOT be doing business with these people again. I will be asking for his supervisor as well because he can't possibly talk to other customers like he does, he is rude and very unprofessional, his name is ******* ******Business Response

THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED AND AN 18 POINT INSPECTION WAS PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE AS IS PERFORMED ON ALL OIL CHANGES. DURING THE INSPECTION THE TECHNICIAN DISCOVERED THE AIR FILTER AND CABIN AIR FILTER WERE DIRTY AND RECOMMENDED REPLACEMENT. THE FILTERS WERE BROUGHT UP TO THE CUSTOMER AND SHOWN TO THEM. THE CUSTOMER CALLED HER MOTHER AND DISCUSSED REPLACING THE FILTERS. THE MOTHER DECLINED REPLACING THE FILTERS SO OUR TECHNICIAN PUT THE FILTERS BACK IN THE VEHICLE. NEW FILTERS WERE NOT INSTALLED IN THE VEHICLE AT ANYTIME. OUR SERVICE TECHNICIAN OFFERED FOR THE CUSTOMER TO TAKE A PICTURE OF THE FILTERS TO SHOW HER MOM BUT SHE DECLINED. THERE IS APPARENTLY SOME MISINFORMATION ABOUT THE FILTERS BEING INSTALLED WITHOUT CONSENT. THE FILTERS WERE NEVER REPLACED.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:I never said that the filters were replaced! My problem is the service and lack of respect towards my 16 year old daughter all because he was having a bad day! I DID NOT decline taking pictures of them, Mr ****** made it clear that he didn't have to listen to me and he would put the filters back in and send her on her way! Its the lack of respect that I am complaining about! I'm not asking for anything but a formal apology in writing from Mr ******, not Plaza Tire, however I am still complaining about the way this place handles business.. NO RESPECT towards customers at all
