I took my 2006 Dodge Caravan to have the brakes fixed. My car was able to stop before I dropped it off. I stopped at every stop sign and stop light. When my disabled husband came to pick it up he was charged $497.50 and told they couldn’t replace brake boosters. They had replaced a front rotator, front brake pad set, and the front left disc brake caliper.

They did not inspect the brakes.

My husband drove off the parking lot then proceeded to drive off into a ditch on the way home. My brakes no longer work. I had to have my car towed home.

This was a complete waste of nearly $500 and my time. When I called Plaza, I asked them why they no longer worked. The man I spoke with was rude. They told me they fixed the brakes and that I can just believe that they can not fix brakes if I wanted to believe that that they can not fix brakes when I said, “So, you can’t fix brakes then?” The car can no longer stop! Clearly the brakes are worse now than before we brought them there. I won’t even be able to make it to work on Monday.

Allowing someone to leave without checking their breaks could cause injury or death. If he would have known they didn’t work he never would’ve attempted to drive home. He or another person could have been killed.

On 5/10/23 I was driving through O'Fallon MO a little under an hour from my house when the trailer I was towing a Chevy Malibu with had a blowout. It happened next to Plaza Tire located at **** * **** *** ********* ** ****** I thought I was in luck. I went inside and spoke with the gentlemen behind the counter and he informed me I would have to buy a trailer tire for $106. That was fine. I showed him the trailer and asked what we need to do to get the trailer jacked up to pull the tire off. He informed me that they could not help getting the tire off since the Malibu was still on the trailer. I was there with just me and my senior citizen father. I said ok if we push the car off the trailer can a couple guys help push it back on the trailer since the car does not run? His reply was simply "no". I asked how they could help me since I was out of town and needed a tire. He said nothing I can do. He clearly didn't want to deal with the situation. I couldn't believe I had a blowout next to a tire shop and they couldn't help me. I had to drive away with a blown tire and limped down to a spot called **** ****** * *****. They were very helpful. The employee came out and got the trailer tire off for me and had a new tire put on in under 20 minutes and I was back on the road. Al's Wheels and Tires is a small shop that values its customers and was willing to help me when I was in distress. Tire Plaza let me drive away with a blown tire on my trailer and that to me is unacceptable.

We are sorry the customer was not provided the service that was expected. Our staff should have been more accommodating and tried to help the customer with their needs. Trailer tire installation is a very common service in our stores and their is no excuse for our staff not finding a way to provide the service requested. We have taken this opportunity to train our staff on how to better handle special situations such as the customer was experiencing. Thank You for letting us know of their experience so we can provide better service in future visits to our customers.

Feb 2022 had oil change & serpentine belt replaced by *********** Plaza Tire. March 2023 belt squealing again. I went to Plaza Tire on Saturday, April 15, 2023 to have my tire patched due to a small hole. I was told that not only could they not repair it, but I needed all new tires. My tires are only two years old and in decent shape. I informed them I did not wish to replace them and just wanted my tire back. They said they would not give me my tire or keys back unless I paid them $19.95. I felt they treated me very unprofessionally and unfair and feel that I should, at the very least, be refunded for the fee they charged me to release my car.

The customer came in with a tire leaking on the front of their vehicle, upon inspection we found the leak was in an area of the tire that is considered by RMA ( Rubber Manufacturers Association ) an unsafe area to repair. We follow the RMA guidelines for safe repairs. We informed the customer and also recommended to replace the tire on the other front due to it measuring 4/32" of tread remaining. The customer got irritated and rude and refused the services recommended. We charge a minimum rack fee of $19.95 for looking at a vehicle so this is what the customer was charged. The customer failed to report that they were refunded the $19.95. Attached is a copy of the refund receipt. I believe we have handled this in the best way possible.

On September 22, 2022, I was traveling north on **** ***** of ******* *** with my RV. I was driving an average speed of 65 mph and had a blow out on the drivers side rear tire on the RV. It did major damage, as there was no where to pull over safely. On the 22nd of ********* ****, when I arrived at *****, it was near the end of business hours. I requested that they replace all four tires on my RV with the best tire for my application , as I didn’t want to have this happen again.

The body shop informed me that my rv was ready to be picked up in its original condition on March 6th, 2023. On the way from the body shop the same date, I experienced another blow out and more damage to my rv from the end result.

failed and we credited back the full price of all 4 tires and installed 5 tires
including the spare. According to our store manager *** **** did not say
anything about vehicle damage at the time.  Any
damage supposedly caused by the product is a product liability claim and would
have to be filed with the manufacturer of the tire. The tires are Summit brand

The customer's vehicle was hit by another vehicle and the vehicle left the scene. Our staff saw the incident and got the license plate number of the vehicle and gave it to the customer. We did not cause the damage to the customers  vehicle it was a hit & run. The broken equipment the customer claims in their complaint is a broken wheel stud that broke while trying to remove the lug nut from the wheel. The lug nut was installed improperly by the person who worked on the vehicle prior to Plaza Tire. If the customer would like us to replace the wheel stud & nut we would be happy to do that at no charge.

I had a brake go bad on my truck yesterday. I went to the ****** **** location in Columbia, Mo. I asked for a set of brake pads. I had an appt at 1:30. They took all four tires. I told them that just needed brake pads on the front. The tech said they do this and inspect all four tires. They then told me I needed four of everything all around. As a former mechanic, rotors are an opinion. I asked the price for just the pads on the front, $180.00. I looked at the rotors myself and they were acceptable. The boss told me the whole package or nothing else. Then they charged me for doing a brake inspection, $20, which I never asked for. I asked for front pad replacement. T

I’ve taken my vehicle to this location twice in the last 9 months for noise in the front end. Each time I was given a list of issues that needed addressed and never declined any of them. 3500.00 later my car is barely drivable because they neglected to fix and/ or at least recommend fixing the issue which I now know is my lower control arm assemblies. I took my car to a different shop not affiliated with this business 2 weeks ago for yet a third time at trying to figure out the noise. This mechanic told and showed me how bad my lower control arms are in less than 20 minutes and also stated that a sway bar link on the passenger side of my vehicle was cross threaded and loose which means it was installed improperly. This mechanic also said that plaza should have aligned my car but they never gave me an alignment print out so therefore I was more than
likely lied to and told an alignment was performed when it was not which could also account for my abnormally worn front tires on the inner surfaces. I feel plaza tire in Marion Illinois has a plethora of very negligent staff who ignore issues to keep you coming back to pay the very high repair prices. Due to their negligence, I now have abnormal worn tires and risk to my entire suspension. Their negligence has cost me emotional and financial distress! I called both this business and corporate. The only thing they could offer me was to take my car back to the complaint location for further inspection to replace any parts still covered by their warranty which doesn’t help me at all considering they will still at the least want to charge me labor fees for parts they improperly installed the first time I paid them, why would I want to take my car back to a place of business that has already proven negligent and incapable of doing their job correctly. I’m very upset and unsatisfied at this point. I feel like at the very least, a partial reimbursement is warranted and I will get the findings by the other shop in writing.

On November 7, 2022 I went to Plaza Tire in Marion, IL. to get some new tires and have some maintenance done on my car, a 2012 Nissan Sentra. They said the vehicle would be done by the end of the day. I told them to take their time because there was a lot that needed to be done. He insisted that it will be done at closing. I came back and they were working on it. I said I can come back tomorrow but he said it would be done in about half an hour. The business closed immediately after giving me my keys. I drove it a few blocks but I noticed a metal on metal sound. I took it back immediately and parked it on their lot, driving it only a few blocks. The next day I told them about the sound. They apologized and said they would fix it. They said a plastic part of the fender was rubbing the tire and they "fixed" it. But it indicated to me that whoever put the tires on was in a hurry because it did not make that sound previously.
A few weeks later (on December 19th) one of the tires goes flat (the left rear tire). I don't know if that was the tire these guys screwed up the first time but they replaced all four of my tires anyway so either way, it seems highly suspicious that it happens just a month after going to them. I look at the flat and it was a two foot gap in the tire that looks like it disintegrated along the tread. I still have the tire itself and a picture of it. The business said that this is the kind of flat that happens when a tire is low on pressure. The thing is, I drove less than 60 miles on it. The pressure was fine. He "*******" images of flats from tire pressure to make his point but I wasn't buying it. At any rate, the tire was inflated but he did not accept my word for it.
I asked for a refund. He was very defensive because he could see I wasn't buying his excuses. He offered to replace the tire and "adjust" the bill by $44 dollars. I refused.
