We cancelled our trash services with AAA disposal out of Buckner MO in January of 2022- our last pick up date was supposed to be January 28th 2022. I have called 5-6 times over the last year to verify we are still on a “list” for the can to be picked up following service cancellation and they state yes we are still on the list every time I have called. They state they are short staffed and running behind, and continue to offer that I can load it and return it to them myself if I would like. I have made it know I am not available to bring it back myself and they still have not picked up the can over a year after cancelling. I am past tired of looking at this extra can in my driveway that is just taking up space and cannot be used.Business Response

I recently received a bill from AAA Disposal on around the 1st of February that shows a late fee of .49 charged on 25-Jan-2023. Prior to this bill I received one l last year around mid year and chose to pay for several months in advance at that time. I'm surprised that this current bill even made it to my house as the address is incomplete. I tried to log in to pay this and had difficulty so called AAA and spoke with *****. I asked how I was charged a late fee when I only recently received the bill a week ago. She said the late fee was because my bill was due in January. Oh so that explains it they waited to mail me my bill to ensure it would be late so they could charge a late fee. I told her the issue with my address and she never offered to even update it and make it correct. I asked her to remove the late fee and she said, 'ma'am it's only 50 cents', (and of course i heard it as if we can steal 50 cents from all our customers by sending them their bill late then we made bank for this pay period). Yes ***** it is only 50 cents but it is the principal of the situation. You you have my address incorrect, I received it after 6 days after you charged the late fee. She couldn't do the math nor could she justify refunding the .49. I asked her to put someone in charge on the phone and she said there was no one at AAA Disposal in charge at the moment. This 50 cents she belittled me for complaining about is apparently a big deal to her as she couldn't waive it when i clearly pointed out it was an error on their side. The evidence is right there, black and white, plain as day. Yet she is going to hang on to that 50 cents like its going to buy her next meal. I feel like they are intentionally pursuing additional money. They have to know they are not the only trash service in the area. I want a phone call from *****s superior and i am only asking for a refund of .49.Business Response

It is our understanding from the driver that this address is over the limit of trash and the extra bags do not have the required extra bag tags that are purchased from the city of Lexington. We have left extra bags of trash that are outside of the limit, but trash is not left all over the road when we leave the area. If you would like the extra trash collected next week, please contact City Hall of Lexington to purchase the required tags to place on the extra bags so that we can clean it all up.Customer Answer

We canceled our trash and recycling services with AAA Disposal in July of 2022. It is now November 28th, 2022, and they have STILL not collected our recycling bin. It is sitting at the bottom of our driveway, as a complete and unnecessary eyesore for 4 months now. I have made a minimum of 5 calls to ask them to please come pick the bin up, but I get the same answers every phone call. "You are on our list to pick up", "Nobody is in the office that can help", "You need to speak with someone in the field" (but they won't transfer my call), "We don't know when you can expect it to be picked up", "We are short staffed", "Hopefully they can pick it up in the next few weeks", and my favorite, "You could drive it to our office and drop it off". I have left numerous 'messages' with the office staff that I am extremely disappointed in their customer service, and they tell me each phone call that they will 'let someone know'. I am angry that we have had this sitting in our driveway for 4 months. I know I COULD drive the bin to your office, but I shouldn't have to; that is your job. I am filing a complaint as a last resort in hopes that this bin will finally get picked up and we won't have to deal with this anymore.Business Response

Staffing shortages is a nationwide problem this is felt in all industries more so in the service sector. We do have you on a pick up list to retrieve as soon as we have an employee to complete this pick up. Per our company direction you should place the container on the side of the house so that it is visible but not an "eye sore" and we will be by when we can, this depends on what section they are working on pick ups, but additionally staffing and equipment availability, this information is not available to customer service until the pick ups have been made. As you indicated we do offer the drop off service so that you do not have this container in your yard while this is not the ideal situation we do offer it as a way to "speed up the process". While I understand this does not provide you with any quicker of a solution we are working as diligently as we can to get this completed.Business Response

At the time that you called to cancel service you would have been notified that we are pretty far behind on collecting these due to staffing issues. We are trying to collect these as quickly as we can when we have the necessary staff available to complete this. They should have also offered you an alternative to bring the carts back to our office to drop off. Until we can get them picked up please place them on the side of the house visible from the street, but they do not need to be in front of the house or at the street. I canceled my service with AAA. They are a trash collecting company that would go through my trash and leave items. I had disposed of empty yard waste bags and they removed them from my trash. They were missing pick up weeks. I canceled my service and now had empty containers and they won’t pick them up. I need these removed from my property.Business Response

Thank you for reaching out to seek clarification. I have located your account and it appears that you did cancel in September and that we do have work orders in to pick up the carts. We should have alerted you at the time that you cancelled to place these containers on the side of your house visible from the street and we will be by to pick these up. We are running behind in picking up the carts so if you do not wish to continue to wait you are welcome to drop the containers off at our location at ***** ** **** ***** ***** ******** ** *****, otherwise we will be by as soon as we can to get these picked up but we do not have a time frame on this as it depends on staffing each day.Customer Answer

We have trash service & recycling service. Over the last 6 months the trash will get picked up but the recycle does not. In the surrounding areas around us both trash & recycle get picked up. I have emailed the business and 1 response was "Oh we are short- handed we'll credit your account." The next response is oh we have a new person on the route which they probably don't know, we'll credit your account." Excuse after excuse and our recycle does not get picked up and the owner doesn't seem to care. I have a month & half full of recycle that hasn't been picked up. I even told them I feel like we are being discriminated because we're being ignored. I know there are tons of complaints on the neighborhood sites against this company. We haven't switched because the price is good & we've been with them for 20 years. I just want the service that I'm paying for.Business Response

I canceled my service roughly 7-8 months ago. I told them I have 1 garbage and 1 recycle bin for them to pick up. They have still not picked them up. I have called 6 times and each time I get the excuse that they are very behind but my neighbors bin was picked up a long time ago. They told me I could load up the bins and bring them back to Buckner Missouri which is about 20 minutes away from me. I just want the bins picked up.Business Response

10/6/2022 & 10/13/2022 both of these days (2 weeks in a row) the AAA Trash Disposal Service I pay $64 per month for has repeatedly stated that my trash can was not set out at the curb, yet as the photos show the trash can never leaves the curb. Every attempt to get past the person that answers the phones I'm told that the supervisors have left for the day. I'm still being billed yet my trash isnt being picked up. I have been a loyal and paying customer for over 6 years and to be treated like I'm the 1 who's lying is unfathomable and is also extremely unprofessional on their part. The fact that both the driver and his helper both state that it wasn't on the curb is a bold face lie and they both need to be terminated.Business Response
