i bought a stereo and paid it off in december of 2023.he wanted to sell me another one and charged me 50$ to try it out.i brought it back and they are charging me with monthly payments for it at 193.03 january an february. i did not sighn any contract for the second stereo.because i went to the store an made the aware of they went to the police an ban me from entering thier store.police said it was a civil matter an couldnt do nothing.Business Response

Applied for a couch on Black Friday per one month later finally got a phone call to deliver it some communication or somewhere came to deliver. The couch would not fit. Per manager I will send you pictures of couches that will fit me was happy with the decision one week later no pictures no phone calls no text no emails we call the store, they tell me theyll send pictures still nothing and I need a refund. Its not a lot of money but its my money and I patiently waited and waited and after making multiple calls and sent an online request emails and hearing nothing back as unprofessional for them. I dont want nothing to do with this company but my refund back. I dont wanna phone call I dont wanna hear from them. I just want my money back that I paid them for services they did not provide.Business Response

I am reaching out yet again complaining about the poor customer service that Rent one allows their managers to have. This particular manager has harassed me in every which, messed up due dates, tried to charge amounts that I do not owe to get my attention and constantly locks my online account from making a payment. She would try to go down the list of my cards on file to try to charge the amount that she was not given authorization to charge and then lies and acts like the system did it itself. this is not okay because sometimes I use my mom's card on my account. No communication at all I would just see that she tried to charge a certain card. When I logged in to the account (on the due date) I saw that the account was locked. So, I will not force the company to take my payment. If online is the way that I prefer to pay, then so be it. As of now she locked the account and sends the workers out to pick up the furniture. As soon as she even thinks you are going to be late, she locks the account before she leaves for the day. However, I work late and when I make my payments its usually later in the day. I've never met a person who tries to control customers so much and I've never had this issue with any other rental company. Therefore, I don't mind if this matter goes further. There have been multiple complaints about this person with nothing being done to them. I would love to deal with another location at this point. This is what is called abuse of power and I am not going for it. If I logged in on the due date I should have been allowed to make the payment.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I didn’t see to get an email. A good phone number would be ************. I’ve reported this issue before and I believed talked to the same person about it. I don’t have an exact date I can go back and see what day I was due to make a payment last either way I believe you guys can go back and see that the accounts are being locked from making online payments. Whatever day the payment was due( on a Saturday) the account was locked that day. Stores are not open on sundays. I logged in the next day after the payment was due and say that it was locked. This is not a one time thing so it is hard to put dates to everything. When the store manager can’t control you she does this. Or whatever she can to FORCE you to do things her way. I am not the only person who has complained of her. I usually don’t log in until about 8 or so to make payments if need be because I work. If a payment is due that day and a person wants to make a payment later in the day ON THE DUE DATE what would be the issue there? The issue is because I didn’t pay when she wanted me to. Got caught up at work. So right now if she wants to keep locking the account then I won’t force a company to take my payment. Bad management.

I have been paying on a new $3,000 dryer for over a year and a half. The dryer quit heating up about 2 months ago. They picked it up, brought an older model one for me to use while mine is getting fixed. Its been plenty long enough to be fixed. Also I only have $40 to pay an its paid off. It took me 2 weeks of calling daily to find where my dryer is and when or if I will get it back. They finally called me back, said the dryer was irreparable and I can get another one like it but I will have to start over on payments. I think I deserve the same dryer as I have been paying on. This is horrible business. If I had money to just throw away I wouldnt have gone to a rental place in the first place. Thats a lot of money to end up with a much older, used, appliance thats nowhere near the brand I had intentionally been purchasing. Thank youBusiness Response

I am behind on my payment which is obviously my fault but my family has fallen on some hard times. My complaint is about the manager in ********. This location has called me harassing me by text and phone over 20 times per day. They reached out to all if my contacts and gave them all my account information including how many payments I am behind and the exact amount of money I owe. They have now started contacting my work number which I never consented to and clearly violates the *** Act. They harass my wife and have come to my home and scared my 13 yesr old daughter by pounding on the door. It's ridiculous. The manager at this location is absolutely aggressive and rude. I have no problem paying my account but it has to wait until my pay check hits. If this does not stop and the manager reprimanded for calling my employer and giving out all my personal account information without consent I will further escalate my complaint. Receiving phone calls 5 to 6 times a day while I’m at work harassing me, after they’ve been told I had to switch jobs, and my paychecks are paid in cash and given when the job is done was told that, that is fine. I received a mailer addressed to me at my home. I called the store and asked them to take my name off the mailing list. They looked for your name in their system and they couldn't find it. I asked them to remove me from their list but since they couldn't find it in there system, they couldn't guarantee that.Business Response

I am writing in because I have not been happy with the service that I have been receiving from this company. The issue has been going on just about all year. I have been dealing with the manager charging any card that I have previously used instead of using the card that I have on file for autopay if she can't get the payment. Sometimes I have my card locked and would forget to unlock it the day that the payment is due and I would see that she would try to charge that card but then she tries to charge another card that I have used previously. I would think that if I didn't give consent for a card other than the one I have on autopay then it was not supposed to be charged. I've reached out multiple times about this issue and the first time I was told me that it must be the system and she would need to create a ticket and then it happened twice more in the following months. I finally reached out to cooperate who never got back to me but I assume they reached out to the company because it seemed to be under control after that. I have also been having issues with them harassing me and calling family members before the due date even approached or on the due date itself and usually other people on the account are contacted when the items are late for so many days. I have a busy schedule and I usually communicate via text if I can't get to the phone in time or sometimes if I work off site at the hospital, I have no signal. I was texting with the manager one particular morning about my payment, and I sent a message to ask her if she could charge a different card and I sent the card number and she sent someone out to my home any how and I showed them the messages of me telling them to charge my card. Last week I noticed I was getting calls on Tuesday and my sister was called on Wednesday about my payment that was due the upcoming Friday and she apologized and said somehow my payment date was thrown off. I understand how it works with late payments, but this is harassment.Business Response

I called rent one and asked them what the prices were on a mattress and box springs. I was told that they had a used mattress and box springs and that I could own it in 8 months. They delivered the bed and I noticed when I signed to contract it was for 12 months not 8 months and when I questioned the lady about it she told me not to worry that they couldnt redo the contract but she would make a note of it. Well they are having me pay 10 months on a used bed And I dont deal that is right at all. I dont want them to come get it because I have already paid ove 5 months on it.
