I bought an Energizer (*******************************) EN548 Power Inverter (12V DC to AC) for use my laptop in my car. The product description listed that the power would be 500 Watt, and peak power is 1000w.When I bought the inverter, I was introduced that even the inverter was shut off, Energizer gave you a free fuse in the original box, you just replace the fuse so you can still use it. I bought it.The power of my laptop is only 300 W. However, the Energizer inverter was broken, not working. According to the instruction, I opened the inverter cover, but there was no any such fuse inside. I let my friends to look at it, we surprised that there was no any such fuse in the Energizer inverter, it means that Energizer placed a fuse in the box is just foolish customer.Since the quality of the inverter is not good, since the introduction is not true, I request Energizer send a new working one to me. If Energizer power company believe the introduction of power 500w /1000w in peak is not real, please send me a higher power inverter to me such as ENK1500, to close the case. Or, please explain the reason to place a non-functional fuse in the box to public. Thanks.(Photos and Witness are available)Business Response

Good afternoon,I used two AA Energizer batteries in my wireless mouse. The batteries were installed approximately three months ago. Since then, I have used the mouse moderately for daily tasks such as browsing the internet, sending emails, and working on documents. The mouse has been in regular use throughout this period until the batteries began leaking, causing damage to the device. Photos of all details requested are attached. The damaged mouse is no longer available on ****** where I purchased it:********************************************************************** However, the same mouse but different colour is available here:*************************************************************************************************************************************************** I paid about $89.99 plus taxes many years ago.Energizer has offered to compensate me only $40.00 CAD for the leaky batteries and damage to my device, a USB wireless mouse. At minimum the costs of replacing the mouse ($75.00 + taxes), mouse pad ($9.00 plux taxes) and finally the batteries themselves ($15.99 + taxes) amounts to $112.00. This is more than reasonable in this case and does not include time spent on this matter. They have a guarantee which they are dragging their feet to execute.***** ****Customer Answer

I purchased these batteries in ****** and they lasted only a month with very limited use in a remote control. Brand: Energizer Product: Energizer AAA2 max ** the 5th week they leaked some sort of chemical substance. I disposed the remote and batteries out immediately as I was worried about poisoning my pets and young children. I don't have a receipt for the remote as it came with the stereo / TV set from over 5 years ago and no longer have the receipt for the batteries. However, I do have the packaging still from the store and provided that in my initial complaint and request for refund from Energizer. I was advised that since I disposed the batteries and remote I could no longer claim for compensation. Most people with young children or pets (if you canvassed them) would have done the exact same thing - confirm safety of others, throw out and clean up area immediately, wash hands, look up dangers of battery leaks. As per my email dated November 13, 2024, to Energizer customer service, while the batteries cost $20 CAD some dollars, the remote I lost was a ****** and expensive, closer to $100 CAD. I understand the point of view on policy, photos, etc. However, the last thing I or others would do is read fine print policy. Leakages while maybe rare are not advertised as safety measures related to your brand -- certainly not very publicly such as on or within packaging, etc. ** hopes you can reconsider some sort of remedy as a goodwill gesture for a loyal customer who suffered a lost remote alongside confidence in your product.Business Response

Dear BBB,
Thank you for informing us that a complaint has been filed. Please note that this is a new claim and is separate from the computer mouse claim originally filed by the Consumer, which was resolved and closed on January 22.
This new claim pertains to a remote control and was denied because the Consumer disposed of the batteries and the device, which prevented us from thoroughly investigating the claim. Energizer believes this claim was properly denied, and we consider this matter closed.
Sincerely,
Energizer

Rayovac batteries leaked all over my guitar amp and they say because the batteries in my device have different expiration dates they are not responsible for the damage. None of the batteries in my amp were expired and photo proof was sent to Rayovac customer support. Are they saying that if you buy a pack of Rayovac batteries and have 2 left in the pack and then go out and buy another pack of Rayovac batteries you should not use those last 2 batteries that have a perfectly good expiration date because they may not work properly with these new Rayovac batteries I just bought? They were all the same brand and size of battery. I could buy two four packs of batteries at the exact same time and they could have different expiration dates on them. If I need 8 batteries and they don't have an 8 battery pack then what should I do? If you can't mix and match Rayovac batteries from one pack to the next then they need to say that on the packaging. I want my guitar amp replaced by Rayovac. They owe me $430. I sent in all the proof Rayovac required to get my amp replaced on 1/9/25 and they denied my claim on 1/10/25 because of not expired but different expiration dates. As that is not a written policy on any Rayovac packaging or on their website and their batteries ruined my amp they owe me a new one.Business Response

Dear BBB,
Thank you for informing us a complaint has been filed. After careful consideration and investigation, we have concluded that the cause of the damage to the Consumers device was due to mixing battery selection. Per the packaging of the batteries, you should not mix batteries, and you should always replace all the batteries at the same time with the same batteries. This is also on our website at **********************************. For this reason, the Consumer's claim was denied.
Sincerely,
Energizer

I reached out to the energizer company about an eveready flashlight. I needed to know what the battery type required for the eveready flashlight. Energizer representative later told me that I will be updated but that day has yet to come. The dialogue between this company and I was short because it ignored my latest messages and refuses to help me about its product. If communication is restored, I want that done ONLY by email. The phone number given is invalid.Business Response

Four of my childrens toys have been ruined by energizer batteries because they have corroded and leaked battery acid. They have a no leak guarantee that says they will pay for ruined products their batteries were used in. The batteries had not been in use for more than 6 months and they didnt expire until 2030. However, I have tried to submit the form and call in, but they keep requesting photos over and over (which I have already sent). Two of the toys I had already thrown away because they werent safe and I didnt know at the time that it would keep happening, I thought it was random and didn't know about their guarantee. I told them this and yet they are still asking for more photos. The policies they have to get reimbursed are unreasonable. I have sent photos in of the batteries corroded, leaking battery acid and the battery compartments ruined but they keep asking for more photos. I want to be reimbursed for the toys that were ruined and for the cost of the batteries. I want them to be transparent about their guarantee and their policies. I dont think many parents would hold onto leaking batteries and toys that have ruined battery compartments and its unreasonable to request this. I told them it was toddler and baby toys that had leaking battery acid and they didnt even acknowledge this could have lead to hospitalization and severe injury, after I expressed this as a concern. Their batteries are dangerous and they dont seem to care. They wont even replace the small cost of the toys. This has happened too many times in the last 6 months just at our home, I know other people have to be dealing with this as well.Business Response

I purchased a 2-pack of heavy duty lantern batteries in July 2023. They are Rayovac brand, which is a sub brand of Energizer. After 12 months of just a few seconds of use per month (to locate items in an unlit pantry) one of the batteries failed/was dead. I submitted a claim for a refund or replacement on the company's website with photographs but received no response. A few weeks later I called and spoke to someone who said that claim had not been received and asked me to email the photos, which I did the next business day. A few weeks later, having heard nothing, I emailed again to follow up. I received an email saying they were still awaiting photos. I emailed the photos a third time. Another few weeks went by with no reply. I called 4 days ago and the associate assured me that if the photos were uploaded to the Energizer website, he would certainly get them and be able to respond immediately. I uploaded them again, received an on-screen acknowledgement that my submission had been received and waited. Nothing. Today I called and was told the photos had not been received and was asked to try once more to upload or email them. I refused and asked the associate to have a manager call me. I am still waiting. I think this lack of response is totally unacceptableBusiness Response
