      I accidentally left my purse in a rental vehicle. The staff stole all the cash I had. I would never use this service again.

      I reserved a car with National and had a confirmation number. I flew in to ********* airport Tuesday night only to be told they had no cars. To make it worse the counter guy said they knew the day before. No calls no email just me standing in an airport with my hotel 1:20 away. No other renal companies had cars either. We need legislation that hold rental car companies accountable. Travel is hard enough theses days without rental car companies making reservations they know they cant fill.

      Reserved a car at ****** International Airport for a combined Business and personal trip July 27-August 3, 2022. The reservation (Wed to Wed) was confirmed for $741. I ended up having to delay my arrive (another business trip) by one day. I called Nationals ***** number and explained that I would late but my wife would be there Wednesday and asked if she could pick up the car. The National Representative confirmed that it would be ok and nothing would be effected and would note it on my rental reservation. When my wife arrived to pick up the car, the counter representative at ****** International told my wife because I wasnt there, she would have charge $1,350 for the rental but when we returned the car and I came to the counter to prove I actually was part of the rental, she would reverse the charges back to the original $741. My wife believed her, signed the agreement and left. When I returned the car, the same National agent, told me my wife must have misunderstood because they could not reverse the charges. I called Nationals ***** number to dispute. I was told because my wives name was on the contract, they couldnt honor my quote. I explained our experience but was ignored. I dont expect to get my $ back, but feels like a bait & switch. I will never use National again. Ive made sure my employees know my story and are choosing to use our other approved supplier - **** for their rentals. I have and will continue to tell whoever I can this story. I know it will not put National out of business, but at least they will lose more $ than they took from me for their employee / customer service deception.

      On August 9. 2022 I went to RSW airport to rent a car, like I
      have done several times a month and sometimes weekly for YEARS. I also
      always go between 7-8pm to pick up my rentals. When I arrive at the
      National Rental area, there is not an employee to be found. I waited for
      a while, but I have to go, I'm on a timeline! I pick a car and drive to
      the booth to check out (luckily there was someone there). This someone
      informs me that I can't have the car I chose because evidently, it's an
      upgrade (how would I know this since there was no one to give me
      direction???) She said though, that she would check with the manger and
      see if it was ok. The manager came over, a blond woman with her hair up
      in her 20's to 30's, and informed me that no, I cannot have the car. She
      then told me to back the car up, return it and pick out a new one. I am
      now way behind schedule, I tell her that this was not my fault there
      were no employees to help me, they can back up the car and return it
      while I quickly go and get a different one. This did not sit well with
      her at all! She then said she will rent me nothing! I asked her for what
      reason, she said because I was using profanity....WHAT????? I asked her
      what she thinks she heard, she said she couldn't repeat it....that's
      because nothing was said. The customer service by this so called manage
      is appalling! Who treats customers this way??? I told her that I was a
      very loyal customer for years, she did not care. So this customer that
      has rented from National weekly/monthly for years and years, had to walk
      over to ***** to get a car. ***** now has a new customer and they have
      lost one!
