      STAY away from them. Their service is horrible and the quality of the clothes is terrible. I would never order from them again. I ordered a top from them, found out today it might be delivered in August. I wasnt allowed to cancel the order. They said it was reserved for me so cancellation wasnt an option. They dont have any of the tops I ordered but I cant cancel????? This is a terrible customer service. Plus they charge for shipping and deduct $10.00 from a return refund for shipping. They truly are terrible. No wonder they had to file bankruptcy.

      This company since acquired by *************** and closed all of its stores has gone down hill. The items they offer are made nice and I'm happy when I receive. The problem is that when I placed my last order in January, they said I wouldn't receive until July. That is not acceptable and I canceled that order to my disappointment. I still have an order that I received partial on, and haven't heard a word about when to expect. You call and the customer service representative when you ask a question, your always put on hold and then they tell you that it will be a few weeks. Order was placed in January, still waiting. When you always call they charge your credit card (a placeholder on that card pending and then it disappears a week later). It's unfortunate that this company is run like this and is not getting any better. I guess this is the way of the world for mail order. You can't get qualified people to run it. As soon as I receive this partial shipment I'm getting off their mail order and going to Talbots, Chico's, or JJill. At least they can handle mail orders.

      Partial order. No word on test of order. Ordered early enough to receive before my vacation. Reveived no correspondence that these items may not be available. Called and could not get answer. Happened to me twice before. I should have known better and here I am without my full order and NO correspondence. Do not buy from this catalog. Then online catalog shows the item not shipped as available and able to be received by 17th. ********

      Not sure what is going on with this store. I have been a customer forever and was disappointed when they went strictly online. The online has been OK until the last few months. Every order I have placed has been delayed and they don't really have the item. I do not buy any items listed as on backorder so I am shocked when I am waiting on the item to be in stock after I have placed the order. Currently waiting on an order I purchased 2/3/2025. Part of the order was shipped 2/19 but I am still waiting on the rest of it. Sadly will probably be my last order if I ever receive it. Asked the customer service *** why everything is so delayed and could not get an answer.

      Having been a long time customer I'm disappointed to say I'll never shop again here. Although the quality of the clothing is very nice, good luck getting it! What you see in the newest of catalogs or online and order is almost never in stock. I placed a few orders in January 25. Brand new catalog. Was told everything was available. When It wasn't coming and I checked, I was told some items were backordered and given an estimated ship date. When that came and went, I called again to learn the items were out of stock! In the meantime I foolishly placed another order for different items. Once again the same thing happened AND they charged my account!!! For this to happen once is unfortunate but repeatedly is inexcusable! Don't know what has happened to this once very nice company but they've lost my business!

      Sadly, my experience recently reflects the same level of disappointment as others. I have been a Soft Surroundings customer for many years and I am shocked at how rapidly they have crashed downhill. I ordered 4 items on 12/06 and had one of the worst purchasing experiences of my life. I was notified via email that two of my items had been delivered to me on 12/11. The problem was that they were, in fact, never actually delivered to me. I was told on three separate calls, approximately one week apart, to just wait another 7-10 business days and I would likely receive my items. I asked them to verify delivery and they acknowledged that they couldn't really be sure and that there is no photo verification of delivery (as you get from *** and ******* Their solution was for me to continue to wait. I finally gave up and insisted on a cancellation and refund on 01/02. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I waited and finally called again on 01/30, only to be told that "for some reason" my refund had been "processed but not authorized" and that they would expedite (ha ha) a refund, which I did finally receive after hours invested on the phone. That same day I received one of the backordered items, a pair of jeans. I have ordered the same size (M) from Soft Surrounding, same item number, several times. They literally looked like children's jeans. I have noticed a downward trend in overall quality of the numerous items that I have ordered over the past year or so, but this was the last straw. I called and said I would like to exchange them to try a large. I was stunned. I was told that returning, paying for shipping, and then re-ordering a new order (which would again include shipping) was the only option, no actual exchange. What a sad end to a previously go-to brand. I will never order again and will advise all my friends of my awful experience. A colossal waste of time, money, and energy.

      I ordered a $50.00 e-gift over a week ago and the recipient never received it and my credit card has been charged. I have called several times and each time I was assured it was being sent!

      Soft Surroundings going way down hill. I have ordered a lot from them. Some things work. But, I just ordered gifts for Christmas with a 3 day delivery. I am on day 4-5 and no delivery and turns out it is 3 days after they have the product and send it. Fine print! Paid $22 for 3-day postage. Feel not good and I do not have the gifts I ordered for the holiday. Called the *********** where they answer and turns out one item wasn't even in the pipeline because it is backed up. That was not revealed on the website or when I ordered. Were they bought by someone else or why have they gotten so bad? ***, I asked the phone person if I could talk to a supervisor. After waiting a long while she said the supervisor was still on another call but if I gave my cell number one would call me. Hours later, no call. It won't happen. ***** them. At all costs. $$$$ lost

      This company needs to go completely OUT OF BUSINESS! They are the worst at customer service and if there was a click down from worse -- that would be their return /exchange process. I did EVERYTHING by the book with them.. They actually received my return (they confirmed this) of the ******** Faux Suede Auburn Jacket. Its been sitting in their warehouse for almost 3 weeks and they tell me it will take ANOTHER 4-6 WEEKS to refund my $!!! $117.00 Seriously?? I spoke to SIX call center people who "assured me this is escalated" well its October 25th and still no refund. Do all of us a favor and shut it down... but after we receive our refunds!!

      I ordered a leather jacket from Soft Surroundings on 9/16/24. I received it in good time but decided it wasnt my style. The sent it back to them via ***** as they requested on 10/2/24. Today is 10/21/24. I checked the tracking number and SS received it on 10/7. I called them and they said yes, they have it but it takes up to 4 WEEKS to receive a refund from them. I think thats way too long and I wont be doing business with them again??
