I have been in the Mercy Healthcare system over 7 years now and recently had a lump pop up on my wrist. I have been trying since 4/2022 to figure out whats going on. My primary care doctor ****** care, the specialist I have been sent to do not seem to care. As an African American woman I feel that my needs are not being met. How can a healthcare system lack professionals willing to do their jobs? I guess its just a job to them. I have been in so much pain these last few months with this same lump that I am about to lose everything including my job. No one at Mercy even cares.

Horrible customer service when it comes to making an appointment with the scheduling department. An African American young lady named ***** initially disrespected me when she questioned my name & proceeded to tell me how to pronounce my own name. I then corrected her & the call proceeded. Tried to make an appointment with a doctor & as I went to ask a question the lady huffed on the phone & proceeded to talk over me
then hung up the phone while I was asking the question. Called back & spoke to ***** & she was very professional & friendly & had heard the entire conversation & felt it was rude of ***** to speak to me in that manner.

Patient care is not first in their procedures. But when you need to go to the hospital in an emergency what is a person to do? Sat in ER all afternoon yesterday when they were admitting my spouse and the reason they couldn't get him to his room was "had to clean his room". Got to his room and it was really not that clean... 3-4 hours to clean one room... He said nurses were loud in the halls and maintenance work was being done during the night. After Doctor stating test to be completed today, first thing this morning they tell him he will have to wait a day. No food given at 10 this morning, no coffee... either staff shortage or something. If I didn't have to go to the doctor I wouldn't. And when in the hospital the added stress on a heart patient of waiting and waiting and waiting is not good. Come on Mercy, organize and step up to make sure patients are cared for and valued.

Mercy is racist. Supervisors say racist things to people and they still allow them to work there.

I'm very upset with the way staff is taking care of my sister. Letting her sit in her own urine and fecies for hrs. She can't clean her self up on her own. Letting her hair get all ratted don't even try to brush it. They were told several times to help clean her up. But continue to let her sit there in it . I think u need to reevaluate your nurses and staff and start taking care of your patients. Or drastic measures will be taken.
